Memo to RedStaters:

Try watching FOX Business Network (FBN) and you will understand why the business channel is surging over its competitor, CNBC. Moreover, I am not a Wall Street type, but find that FBN delivers news in a straightforward, no nonsense, no spin manner with hosts and guests who really are experts in their respective fields (not just pretty faces.) Afterall, since business and politics are intertwined, FBN does a great job connecting the two worlds.

Here is the official FBN press release touting the network’s latest rating success.

FOX Business Network (FBN) dominated business television for the seventh consecutive week, according to Nielsen Media Research. Averaging 180,000 total viewers, FBN’s Business Day saw a 28 percent lead over CNBC, which delivered 141,000 total viewers. In the 25-54 demo, FBN’s 24,000 viewers came within one impression point of CNBC, which had 25,000 viewers during Business Day.

Lou Dobbs once again drove the ratings success for FBN, scoring the top rated program in total viewers (322,000) and the demo (48,000) for the week, marking 48 consecutive weeks as number one in business news. Stuart Varney’s market open program Varney & Co (9a-12p/ET) was the number two business show in cable news with 231,000 total viewers while CAVUTO Coast to Coast came in at number three with 168,000 viewers.
