FBN Delivers its Highest Rated Month Ever in Total Viewers for Business Day
“Lou Dobbs Tonight” and “Varney & Company” Top Business Television Programming
A press release from Fox Business Network (FBN) announces some good rating news. For the entire month of October, FBN surpassed its competitor CNBC in business day viewers. With momentum on its side, my bet is it won’t be long until FBN permanently surpasses CNBC for this small but influential niche channel audience of business leaders and market makers.
For the first time in its history, FOX Business Network (FBN) topped CNBC in business day viewers for an entire month. According to Nielsen Media Research, October marked FBN’s highest-rated month ever in business day with 170,000 total viewers.
Compared to the same month last year, FBN was up double and triple digits across all dayparts while CNBC posted double-digit losses in every category. In business day, FBN averaged 170,000 viewers, up 67% compared to the same period last year and 22,000 in the key A25-54 demo, up 38%. In total day, FBN doubled its audience from the same month last year, up 110% in total viewers (145,000 P2+) and up 77% in the demo (23,000 A25-54).
