With early voting over and less than 24 hours until Election Day, Republican Presidential nominee Donald J. Trump will rally supporters early Monday at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, Robarts Arena, according to Joe Gruters, co-Chair of Trump’s Florida campaign.
“We’re thrilled to once again host Donald J. Trump, the next President of the United States,” Gruters told the South Florida Reporter. “Coming full circle, it’s great to have him back where it all started.”
Tens of thousands have attended recent Trump rallies throughout Florida. Long a swing state with 29 of the 270 electoral votes needed to win, the Sunshine State is an important part of Donald Trump’s strategy to turn out large numbers of voters. It has been perceived by many that the winner of Florida will be the next President of the United States.
“People in both parties want something different in the White House,” Blaise Ingoglia, Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, told South Florida Reporter. “Unfortunately for the Democratic Party, their system was somewhat rigged for Hillary Clinton. A lot of voters wanted Bernie Sanders, but got stuck with Hillary Clinton instead. The Republicans elected Donald Trump.”
A recent Dixie Strategies poll has Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton by more than three points in the Sunshine State. Nearly 46 percent of likely Florida voters said they were backing Trump, compared to 42 percent who said they supported Clinton. Libertarian Gary Johnson received 2 percent, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein received about 1 percent.
The Trump for President Rally will be held Monday, November 7th at the Sarasota Fairgrounds Robarts Arena, located at 3000 Ringling Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34237. Doors will open at 8 am and plenty of parking is available. Trump is expected to arrive at 11 am and speak for about an hour.
Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.
