The White House Tested Jim Acosta for Wuhan Virus and He's Really Upset About It

FILE – In this Aug. 2, 2018 file photo, CNN correspondent Jim Acosta does a stand up before the daily press briefing at the White House in Washington. Acosta says President Donald Trump’s attacks on the media must stop or there’s a risk someone will get hurt. He is one of the most visible members of the press corps covering Trump and a target for verbal abuse at the president’s rallies. He said Monday that Trump has, “normalized and sanitized nastiness and cruelty” in an unprecedented way. (AP Photo/Evan Vucci, File)

Jim Acosta loves him some Jim Acosta, but he apparently doesn’t like getting tested for Wuhan virus in order to try to protect the lives of the task force he’s covering. The CNN “reporter” joined Wolf Blitzer to complain about the fact that the White House tested him…because of course he did.

Keep in mind, just a few weeks ago, people like Acosta were wringing their hands over whether the President had been tested. Now they are taking the “but think of the people” tack, as if the tests used by the White House are something they stole from a rando in Ohio or something.

The fact is, the administration has to keep their task force from contracting the virus. Dr. Fauci, for example, is even older than Trump. Why would any reporter in their right mind complain about precautions being taken? Further, it’s another data point after a previous reporter was suspected of testing positive.

But what this shows is that Acosta and much of the media never actually cared if Trump had the virus. This is all about politics, which means their standards will shift with whatever the narrative they want to push is. Trump and his staff aren’t getting tested? Why, it must be because he’s hiding something. Trump gets tested and starts testing the reporters who stand feet away from him daily? Well, he’s stealing tests from citizens.

It’s all so petty and stupid.
