Here’s a nice break from the impeachment slog.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, currently running for the 2020 Democratic nomination for president, is suing Hillary Clinton. You’ll recall that some months back, Hillary made some disparaging comments about Gabbard being a Russian asset who was being “groomed” to run as a third-party candidate.

The essential accusation is that Gabbard would become 2020’s Jill Stein, another person Hillary called a “Russian agent” in the interview.

Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State, has now accused @TulsiGabbard, a veteran of the wars she supported, of being a "Russian asset" who is being "groomed" for a third party bid for the presidency, along with others.

Here’s what I know. I don’t agree with a lot of what Gabbard says on foreign policy (specifically Iran), though she turned out to be much more right than wrong about Syria, i.e. funding proxy terrorist militias to stoke a civil war that ended up killing over 500,000 people was a stupid, immoral decision. For a do-nothing like Hillary Clinton to basically call a sitting Congresswoman and war veteran a treasonous foreign agent is incredibly disgusting.

Now, it looks like Gabbard is fighting back. She’s filed a lawsuit against Hillary for defamation.

LOL…ok, that’s pretty good.

The standards for defamation between public figures are very, very high. I’m not sure Gabbard can win this lawsuit and you know Hillary will spin, claiming she wasn’t actually saying what she said. But at least someone is attempting to hold her accountable. There may also be other pieces of evidence Gabbard brings forward that haven’t been public to this point.

But this might not even be about “winning” as much as forcing Hillary into some embarrassing discovery. Either way, I’m here for it.
