The 2020 Democratic National Convention is officially done and in the books, with Thursday marking the fourth and final night — the grand finale when the Democrats heard from former vice president Joe Biden, their presidential nominee. But let’s back up to Wednesday night… where we heard the words of the woman who has alleged another of this year’s convention speakers, former president Bill Clinton, raped her while he was governor of Arkansas.

RedState extensively covered the sheer audacity of the Democratic party allowing the alleged rapist and sexual predator to participate in the “DNC Telethon” (as my colleague Shipwreckedcrew called it):

Bonchie kicked things off Monday before the convention even began, with “Pictures of Bill Clinton Being Massaged by an Epstein Rape Victim Emerge.”

Sister Toldjah had a related piece on Hillary inviting (only some) people to celebrate hubby Bill’s birthday: “Hillary Clinton Tweets ‘Join Me’ in Wishing Bill ‘Happy Birthday’, but Limits Replies for Some Reason.”

Mike Miller wrote that “Sometimes the Jokes Write Themselves: GOP Mercilessly Mocks Bill Clinton for His Lecture on Oval Office Behavior.”

Brandon Morse wrote: “As CNN Contributors Sing Bill Clinton’s Praises, Only One Stops to Address the Elephant In the Room.”

Jeff Charles shared the mainstream media’s (unsurprising) reaction: “CNN Panel Weighs In On Decision To Feature Bill Clinton At The DNC.”

With her trademark brevity on Twitter Wednesday night, author Juanita Broaddrick needed just two words to wreck VP nominee, Sen. Kamala Harris, who spoke in her own nomination acceptance speech about knowing a ‘predator’ when [she] sees one.”

Then on Thursday, in a pre-recorded message, former vice president Joe Biden began his acceptance speech by talking about light and darkness.

He said, in part:

“Here and now, I give you my word: If you entrust me with the presidency, I will draw on the best of us not the worst. I will be an ally of the light not of the darkness.

It’s time for us, for We the People, to come together.

For make no mistake. United we can, and will, overcome this season of darkness in America. We will choose hope over fear, facts over fiction, fairness over privilege.”

But not everyone was feelin’ the “light” Biden talked about in his speech. Actress Rose McGowan, who has been vocal in the #MeToo movement spawned by now-convicted actor/comedian Bill Cosby, former Hollywood mega- producer Harvey Weinstein, and others, shredded authorities about Bill Clinton remaining free, when alleged Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested recently.

Then last night, she let her social media fans know she wasn’t on board for the Dems’ four-day,”warm-fuzzies” feels fest.

She wrote:

Right away, others in Hollywood — like this singer and fellow actress — tried to silence her with a leftist, badgering tactic Conservatives are all too familiar with:

Okay, Rose McGowan, what is your solution then? Genuinely. Not being rhetorical. What is your solution to get Trump out of the White House by January? What is your plan for tackling COVID? The economy? Healthcare? Climate? Who do u propose will save us from 4 more yrs of Trump?

Wrong. Go speak to the people that voted for Jill Stein or Ralph Nader. Non-voting, a write-in vote, voting for the losing "Libertarian" candidate, are all the same. A wasted vote. One less from stopping Trump.

Oh my goodness. “If you don’t vote for X, you are knowingly helping Y.” Does that phrase ever ring a bell? If I had a dollar for every time someone told me, back before the 2016 general election, that not voting for someone helps the opponent win… (I didn’t vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.)

You only aren’t helping the other person’s preferred candidate to win. The fact is that every conversation, whether you’re on the left or the right, needs to start with a level of respect. There doesn’t have to be name-calling and animus towards each other.

In this case, luckily, McGowan’s supporters had her”six.”
