Is Joe Biden a horse? Mike Pence thinks so — the Trojan kind.
On Friday, speaking to a group at Ripon College in Wisconsin, the VP said he’d flown in “to talk about what’s at stake, and to talk about the choice our nation faces” in November.
And one of those is, in a very comprehensive way, America:
“Our economic recovery is on the ballot, but also are things much more fundamental and foundational to our country.”
To Mike, it isn’t even a question of how liberal or conservative the wind blows across the nation. It’s what the heck is this place:
“It’s not so much whether America will be more conservative or more liberal, more Republican or Democrat, more red or blue. It’s whether America remains America. It’s whether we will leave to our children and our grandchildren a country grounded in our highest ideals of freedom, free markets, and the unalienable right to life and liberty. Or whether we will leave to our children and grandchildren a country that is fundamentally transformed into something else.”
Mr. Pence referenced “two paths — one based on the dignity of every individual, and the other on the growing control of the State.”
He ain’t just whistlin’ (Trigger Warning) Dixie — and it isn’t just because Joe swings to the left. It’s a question, rather, of who might really be wearing the pants.
That sounds like a crass bit of conspiracy theory, but I don’t mean it as such. The guy very clearly has a substantial medical condition, and it’s not the kind that gets better with time.
Who, therefore, will end up in the driver’s seat? Not an Alex Keaton type, that’s for sure.
And if you haven’t noticed lately, the extended Left flank of American politics should be grateful the world isn’t flat — otherwise, they’d be in zero gravity by now.
Are those at the extreme end poised to get their gangsta on and commit a drive-Biden?
It sounds as if Mike thinks maybe.
Here he is, as per The Daily Wire:
“When you consider Joe Biden’s agenda and his embrace of the radical Left, it’s clear: Joe Biden would be nothing more than an autopen president. A Trojan horse for a radical agenda; so radical, so all-encompassing, that it would transform this country into something utterly unrecognizable.”
As observed by Pence, Bernie’s thrown his support behind Joe. There exists, if you haven’t heard, the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force. And they’ve got a some heavy recommendations — see ’em here.
“The Biden-Sanders agenda would set America on the path of socialism and decline,” the vice president asserted.
Could America actually elect a man in cognitive decline? Will the Democrats keep their candidate safe from any kind of revealing debate? Will the mainstream media sweep his deficiencies under the rug?
One thing’s for sure: For many viewers, listeners, and readers around the country, networks such as CNN, MSNBC, and NPR hold a powerful broom.
They no doubt would like to see the election be a clean sweep.
And if Biden were to be puppeteered by the wrong hands, “Trojan” would be right — it’s a crass analogy which I can’t use here, but let’s just say it relates to what could be done to the country.
