What Are The Possible Criminal Charges Associated With Durham's Investigation Into Origins of Russia Collusion?

On Wednesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) firmed up the date DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz will release his report on FISA court abuses associated with the Russia collusion investigation into the Trump campaign.

“It’ll be December 9th — you’ll get the report,” he told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday. “That’s locked,” he added.

Horowitz will appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Dec. 11 and give testimony about his two-and-a-half year long investigation. Many believe that whatever is contained in that report may have played some role in U.S. Attorney John Durham’s decision to classify his investigation into the origins of the Russia collusion as criminal.

Media outlets began immediately speculating about the cause for that classification, with the New York Times appearing flummoxed by what crimes could possibly have been committed, and speculating the new designation was just a ploy for Attorney General William Barr to hand a political victory to Donald Trump.

The Epoch Times, however, in a comprehensive piece, lays out where those crimes might have occurred:

IG Horowitz’s findings on FISA abuses are what likely, at least in part, led to the recent revelation that John Durham, the U.S. attorney appointed by Attorney General William Barr to investigate the investigators, has transitioned into a full-fledged criminal investigation, with the power to issue subpoenas, convene grand jury proceedings, and recommend federal charges.

All this suggests criminal deception of the FISA court, coordinated criminal leaks of classified information by U.S. intelligence agencies to disrupt the Trump presidency, the secret use of an asset by U.S. intelligence agencies to entrap a low-level Trump campaign aide, and the entrapment of Flynn, coupled with the criminal alteration of an FBI 302 to at least partially fabricate federal crimes against him.

In the meantime, House Democrats continue to distract the nation with charges of improper conversations with Ukraine, and will be voting on proceeding with impeachment around the same time the IG report is released.

Keep the popcorn handy.
