Maxine Waters: Trump Will ‘Bring Putin Into the White House’ If He Is Not Removed From Office

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been so obsessed with impeaching President Donald Trump she probably mutters “Impeach 45” in her sleep. The Representative has been calling for Trump’s removal since he set foot in the Oval Office, and anytime she is asked to explain her reasoning, she typically responds with incoherent babbling about “Orange Man Bad,” and such. Her recent appearance on MSBNC’s “All In” was no different.

On Friday, the lawmaker addressed the impending impeachment trial that will take place in the Senate when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi finally gets around to transferring the articles of impeachment to the other chamber of Congress. Waters had a dire warning to the public of what could happen if Trump is not forcibly removed from the White House. She said:

“When I came to those conclusions early and starting the discussion, I wanted to sound the alarm that we better pay attention. And finally, it came to that, and I really knew that it would because of his character that he would not stop. And if he’s exonerated by the Senate when they do the trial, he’s going to get even worse. And I tell you, and I will predict he’s going to bring Putin into the White House for a meeting.”

Yep. That’s it. If Trump is not removed by the Senate, he will finally unveil his evil dastardly plan: Meeting with Putin in the White House. It would be a disaster unlike any we have ever seen — at least not since the Russian President met with George W. Bush. Despite the fact that the country didn’t fall apart because of that meeting, it appears Democrats now believe that if Trump were to meet with Putin at the White House, it might signal that Washington is now under the sway of the Kremlin, or something.

And that brings up an interesting point: Waters never actually explains why Trump meeting with Putin would be such a horrible idea. To be clear, no date has been set for such a conference, but former National Security Advisor John Bolton did tell reporters in 2018 that the White House had extended an invitation to the Russian leader.

But Waters isn’t the only one with a case of Russia Paranoia Syndrome (RPS). In an appearance on CNN’s “Right Now,” Rep. Norma Torres (D-CA) claimed that Moscow must have some damaging information on President Trump that they are using to control him. “I am afraid that Vladimir Putin may have something on the president,” she explained. “And it is the reason why the president has continued to play the handmaid to Vladimir Putin, inviting him to the White House and opening the doors and not having any advisers present, taking notes from the interpreter and continuing to talk to him and continuing to parrot everything that he tells him.”

When the host asked if Torres had any evidence supporting her theory, the lawmaker responded with the typical progressive word salad that, when translated into truth speak, would sound something like:

“Of course I have no evidence. Don’t be silly. What I just said is so utterly ridiculous that there is no way it could possibly be true. I’m just saying this stuff because it plays to our audience and gullible people might believe it.”

This seems to be the best the Democrats can come up with, folks. If they can’t remove him from office because of the phone call with the Ukrainian president, they will resort to Russian conspiracy theories. But you can easily see what’s going on here, dear reader.

This isn’t about impeachment and removal. This impeachment fiasco is about one thing, and one thing only: Trying to get an edge in the 2020 presidential election. Judging from their laughable field of candidates, they will need every advantage they can get.
