Ron Paul: Fed is Loaning Money to the CIA to do Assassinations

Which, of course, is why they hate us.

This is propaganda that the Iranian Mullahs would be proud of.  It’s idiotic, anti-American, and completely without anything even resembling evidence.

Ron Paul should be made to pay for his increasing idiocy.   He has a primary opponent who seems like a very solid guy.

We should also assure we don’t wind up with his idiot son in Kentucky.

The Brown Revolution gets us a new recruit in Massachusetts

Former Massachusetts State Treasurer is “almost certainly” going to run against Rep. Bill Delahunt in Massachusetts’ 10th district.

I grant you he isn’t likely to be the most conservative Republican, but it seems to me if he’s won statewide he’s a very credible opponent, and given the fact that Obama only took 55% of the vote in this district, and Scott Brown took nearly 60%, this could be a real race.
It’s nice to even put them on the defense in Massachusetts. :)

Counterspin Question: What is the best answer to the statement, “The reason Massachusetts didn’t like the health care bill is because they already have it.”

I don’t believe this to be true, but what facts/figures/polls/logical reasonings are the best to repute that claim? I’ve got a few theories of my own but I’m sure there are better reasons out there.

I’m looking for something that would sound reasonable to mainstream, moderate or center-left type friends of mine.

John Koster Runs for Congress in WA-02

Snohomish County Councilman John Koster is running for Congress in Washington 2 against incumbent Rick Larsen.

Koster is a Dairy Farmer and former State Legislator that previously ran for Congress in 2000 and lost by an excruciatingly close 4% to Larsen.  Since then, he won election to Larsen’s seat on the County Council  (generally considered a step up in Washington State, at least in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties) and has been re-elected twice, most recently in a 58-41 landslide. Obama won this district, but so did Dino Rossi in ’04 (I think it was close to tied for GWB…can’t find the numbers) and Jack Metcalf held this seat for Republicans between ’94 and ’00 when he honored his self-imposed term limits pledge.

Anyhow, it should be an excellent race.  Koster is beloved by the grass roots conservatives in the area, particularly for his work on property rights and taxes.

Here’s some coverage of the race:

Washington State will be an interesting state in ’10, between Koster’s challenge and Baird’s open seat.  Those will both be competitive elections.
