I am not trying to over nitpick, but as many of you know – when displayed on a stage – the US Flag is ALWAYS Stage Left (Speaker Right) and any other flag. This image suggests that the university is greater than the US… which is probably a actual thought when it comes to liberals.

Just wanted to point this out.

I am the father of 3 daughters, the youngest of which is named Julia.

Apparently, Obama  has launched this insipid “Life of Julia” Flash video on his website. (http://www.barackobama.com/life-of-julia?source=MeetJulia )

If you don’t want to go through it all – here are the “points” that are made by this:

Age 3: Under President Obama: Julia is enrolled in a Head Start program to help get her ready for school. Because of steps President Obama has taken to improve programs like this one, Julia joins thousands of students across the country who will start kindergarten ready to learn and succeed.

Age 17: Under President Obama: Julia takes the SAT and is on track to start her college applications. Her high school is part of the Race to the Top program, implemented by President Obama. Their new college- and career-ready standards mean Julia can take the classes she needs to do well.

Age 18: Under President Obama: As she prepares for her first semester of college, Julia and her family qualify for President Obama’s American Opportunity Tax Credit—worth up to $10,000 over four years. Julia is also one of millions of students who receive a Pell Grant to help put a college education within reach.

Age 22: Under President Obama: During college, Julia undergoes surgery. It is thankfully covered by her insurance due to a provision in health care reform that lets her stay on her parents’ coverage until she turns 26.

Age 23: Under President Obama: Because of steps like the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, Julia is one of millions of women across the country who knows she’ll always be able to stand up for her right to equal pay. She starts her career as a web designer.

I want to do a conservative response to this. One showing what would ACTUALLY happen if Obama – who apparently would be POTUS for all of Julia’s life – would totally get his way.  I wold also like to do a conservative response to what our vision is for Julia in her life.

A panel conversation on the DREAM Act turned nasty when a public school teacher told the panel that they want him to act like an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Agent, and round up students who are in the country illegally. The teacher followed up by calling one of the panelists, a Hispanic Tea Party leader, a “Nazi.”

Jonathan Bryant, a government teacher at a local high school in the area, took the microphone and quickly made sure to recognize the kids in attendance, to which he received boisterous applause. Bryant then responded to a comment made by one of the panelists, Schuylar Crist – a supporter of the Minuteman movement and a coordinator for US Border Watch. Bryant said that it seemed that Crist wanted him, as a teacher, to act like an ICE Agent, and report students who are in the country illegally. When Crist was able to respond, he said,

“The fact of the matter is, if they’re in that classroom illegally, then the school administration has a responsibility of reporting them…under 287-G, the San Antonio police department…has that obligation.”

Bryant quickly retorted, “So you would have students in this room deported?” Crist shot back, “If they were illegal, you bet I would…in a heartbeat.”  Crist was roundly booed by the students in the room.  The moderator, KSTX reporter Hernan Rozemberg, quieted the crowd, and allowed a response from San Antonio Tea Party Leader George Rodriguez.  Rodriguez said,

Again folks, if the person is here illegally, and is breaking the law, they have broken the law or are breaking the law, what do you want us to say?  You know what I would have…I would have you teach more balanced, conservative thoughts, rather than just bringing folks that bring libreal ideals and placards here.

Without any hesitation, Bryant responded:

I mean you could just say what you are, a Nazi.

With some of his students applauding in the background, most of the room seemed to be audibly taken back by the comment.  The moderator again tried to take control of the conversation.  However, Rodriguez continued, “There it is.  There’s the hate. There’s the hate.”  Bryant shot back, “It’s an objective observation, that’s all.”

Rozemberg then tried to bring about decorum to the conversation, stating that as a teacher one needs to be, “…very careful about using those kinds of names and accusations…they may not be the best example to set for students.”

Along with Crist, Rodriguez and Rozemberg,  the rest of the panel included retired Lieutenant General – and now Democratic Senate candidate – Ricardo Sanchez, immigration attorney Marisol Perez and college student Carolina Canizales, who admits she is in the country illegally.

It is clear that Bryant knew his students were in the room, and wanted to score some cheap points with them.  Bryant could have spoken about a teacher’s responsibility, which is to teach, not deport.  But, when speaking to Crist, Bryant tried to embarrass Crist rather than engage the conversation.  All of Bryant’s words seemed poised for a set-up.

What also is clear is that Bryant, a government teacher, has no concept of what a Nazi is.  Certainly it is beyond laughable that Rodriguez could be called such a name.  But, for Bryant, those who think like him and those unfortunate enough to be his students, the term Nazi is now something you equate with someone you don’t like, rather than with a totalitarian regime that murdered 13 million people in the name of ethnic purity.

Finally, one should give kudos to Rozemberg for admonishing the words of Bryant.  However, we can put to rest any idea of “civility” and “new tone” from the vast majority of the liberal Left.  The outlandish vitriol is stronger than ever, and does not change – even in front of their students.

One of the many things that irritate me about our side of the aisle is that some of us think that people who were just elected are “presidential timber.”

Many people after the election of Chris Christie – even though he hadn’t done anything yet – were saying that he needed to run for president (Ann Coulter among many)

Many people after the election of Marco Rubio – even though he hadn’t done anything yet – were saying that he needed to run for president.

Many people after the budget proposal of Paul Ryan – even though this is first real big thing he has done that has received real national attention

n (other than the Roadmap for America’s Future) – are saying that he needs to run for president. (He has said he is not going to.)

Many people are saying that Michele Bachman – because of the Tea Party Wave – should run for president…although she is another lawyer that has been a representative for 4 years.

Some were slobbering over the possibly of Mitch Daniels – Indiana’s version of John McCain – running.  

But for many of the people who say that the above SHOULD run…the same people say that Sarah Palin SHOULD NOT RUN.  

Can someone please explain this to me? I am not saying that the above people have not done good things; I am just looking for consistency here.

Palin was picked out of absolute obscurity in 2008 from Alaska. She took on things well before there was a Tea Party Movement. (Corrupt GOP party officials, Oil Companies, even the McCain Campaign HQ during the 2008 Election.)

She was Tea Party before Tea Party was cool. She never asked to be plucked from nowhere.

So what I find funny is that these people FROM NOWHERE are trying to ride the Tea Party Wave or what might even be more dangerous, some Tea Party People are trying to MAKE them ride that wave, and some are all too willing to ride it.

 But somehow, a true conservative who is just a “possible” candidate has a bus tour and ALL HELL BREAKS loose.

Why is this?

Is it because Palin is damaged goods because of the 2008 Campaign? (Which is mainly due to the McCain Campaign overall)

Is it because she is an idiot?

Is it because the country is still sexist…. And not ready for a woman president? (Obviously not is Michele Bachmann’s name is being bandied about)

Is it because she didn’t abort a handicapped kid?

Is it because Palin is just too hot looking?

It’s because Sarah Palin is truly who she is, and does not shy away from it.

Neal Boortz has stated that we lost the 2008 Election because of Sarah Palin. How is that? Was Sarah on the top of the ticket?  Did Sarah drive the agenda? Was it not John McCain’s Campaign’s responsibility to win the campaign?  

Was it was because of social conservative issues?  Boortz is a libertarian, and I respect that (hell, even in some cases, I follow the same beliefs.)

Also  Herman Cain fills in for Boortz . But that is a side topic. (By the way.. I like Cain as well.)

Why are we as conservatives so scared of people that are truly who they are?

Do we want to go through this again? The obsession about beating someone, rather than find the right candidate. If we find the right CONSERVATIVE candidate then there won’t be a problem.

The Tea Party happened because of the lack of Constitutional government happening. It started with the Great Society of LBJ, was amplified by Roe v. Wade, and then everything that all presidents – both Republican (Nixon – EPA, OSHA) and Democrat (Healthcare, government takeovers, and just plain idiocy on foreign policy) have done to completely run this country into the ground.

(Reagan is slightly exempted from this, because he just took Congressmen at their word that they wouldn’t spend anything more)  

If it is supposedly “Christie’s time” to run [according to Erickson], wouldn’t that require him to resign, or at least take much time away from his state that it becomes a distraction? Wouldn’t Christie running for President just over a year into his term be the same as Palin running after she was picked for VP?

I am just looking for some consistency here. Don’t hate on Palin leaving Alaska Governor’s office if you think Christie should run. Palin ran for governor with no aspirations to run for VP, much less President.  

Palin would mop the floor with Obama. But then again, so would Daffy Duck. That’s not to say that Palin is Daffy Duck, but I think you know what I mean.

We need to drop this whole thing of “finding the person that can beat Obama.” A true conservative will beat Obama. We already tried the whole “someone who can reach across the aisle” candidate, and look what we got.

Now Vinny (at 1:34 PM EDT) is saying on Rush that Sarah can’t do it. But he is from NY, even though he is saying that he is a conservative. REALLY? 

Geeze, people get a grip.  She hasn’t been destroyed. If she’s is destroyed, why is she still able to pull the crowds that she does? And even at that.. if the MEDIA  destroys a conservative person..what does that mean? If the media hates someone… well.. I rest my case.

I have been mulling an idea for along time, and I almost abandoned after the Giffords Shooting in AZ, but I still think it is viable.

I am a huge fan of Gangland on the History Channel. I was thinking about doing a spoof one, but about the Tea Party. It would be flaterring, but done with irreverent humor, but still driving some points home.

I know this isn’t really a “discussion forum” but I do have to ask:

A long time ago I wrote the following:

“When do “skeleton bones” turn to dust?

I mean is there anything that a conservative can overcome when it comes to stupid actions of their youth?

I just throw this out there. I am talking about things like DWIs, bankruptcy, etc. etc. Nothing like felonious.. but just maybe embarassing.”

I ask this again because mainly of Christine O’Donnell and a couple of other candidates. Rand Paul had the same thing done to him, and he won. O’Donnell had clips from a stupid show brought up, and it sank her.

The main difference between Paul and O’Donnell is that O’Donnell actually said those things (as innocuous/taken out of context as they were), and the stuff about Rand Paul was mainly made up.

So after we have the the literal trashing of many conservative (mainly women) candidates during the 2010 election cycle, I ask again: is there anytime that skeletons really go away? Or is there any legitmate way to explain them away?

Examples:

Get behind on taxes or child support in your lifetime, and even if you pay it off.. would that ever be satisfied?

Go into Ch 13 Bankruptcy – have it properly discharged? Is that a permanent black eye?

Or does is it more imprtant on how you handle the media in general?

If you constantly say “no comment”, then they will think that you have something to hide, and will dig deeper.

If you go out and own it, then it just becomes fuel for the fodder.

So I just thought I would thow this out there again.

*Do not go to Washington and become part of the “inside crowd.”

*DO NOT accept staffing from Washington insiders (especially if you are a freshman).

*IMMEDIATLEY MOVE TO DEFUND OBAMACARE.

*IMMEDIATLEY MOVE TO EXTEND THE BUSH TAX CUTS – ACROSS THE BOARD – FOR EVERYONE! None of us have received a job from a poor person, so therefore we don’t believe that business owners are evil people.

*To those of you in the Senate: FILIBUSTER EVERYTHING THAT IS AGAINST THE CONSTITUTION.

*DO NOT move towards Obama. HAVE OBAMA MOVE TO YOU. Put him on defensive. Have him veto every bill. He is already going to run against you in 2012, so don’t compromise. We don’t want compromise.

*NEVER QUIT, NEVER WAVER – or we WILL FIRE YOU just as we your predecessor. And we will FIRE OBAMA along with you in 2012

There are many more things that we want. But this is just to start.

We the people have spoken.

We the people – have taken out the trash….

You – our Representatives – now need to clean the dishes.

Don’t doubt us.

Don’t tread on us.

In celebration of Youtube “un-banning” the Hitler Finds Out videos:

Glenn has been alluding to a special suprise guest at the Restoring Honor Rally Today.

Could it be Rush? Dunno… he is supposedly already out in Hawaii.. but he did say that he had to go to another city to pick up some friends.

Could it be Bush 43? Probably not since Glenn had some problems with Bush’s spending, however, W had much more honor about him when it came to the presidency.

He already has Palin, and he said that for security reasons he couldn’t let it be known.

Glenn said on the radio that people were expecting Pope Benedict XVI to be this mystery guest… .. I don’t think so.

Oh well.. we will find out later. Just some musings early in the morning as I am trying to fight off an allergy cold. 

Of course.. it could be our own Erick Erickson….

Sean was pulled from doing his Tea Party show tonight…..why?

Glenn Beck came to San Antonio last year, and he was part of FOXnews. Glenn – from what I know – paid for his own way down to San Antonio. We charged for the sit down luncheon that lead us to be one of the few Tea Party organizations that ended up in the black. (Along with T-shirt sales, etc)

FoxNEWS also sent a production crew down to be with Glenn for his show so therefore, they (or someone) paid for it. I know this because not only was I there and intricately involved, but millions of people across the country saw the show.  

We- The San Antonio Tea Party – benefited from Glenn’s appearance. We ended up in the black. Did we charged admission? No. But we did – in a round about way – “profit” from Glenn’s appearance.  Where it was finacially or otherwise, we “profited” from the event.

Also, FOXNews covered the Tea PArties in Mass last year, so what the hell gives?

So why the hell did Fox pull Sean from the event, especially since he was not hiding that he was going to be in Cincy on April 15th, broadcasting live? Was it the whole “charging admission” thing? They had a few days to do this, but at the last minute? Put Sean on a plane to get back to New York?

Was there a security risk that they couldn’t handle? Is it because Seans book is not for profit?

Erick! Help a fellow Eric out..you have been on the Great American Panel a few times..what is this all about.. this makes no sense! Sean never hid the fact the fact that he was going to be in Cicny for April 15th. 

There is something more to this than what we are being told. And no I am not trying to go “AJ” on people and think there is some sort of conspiracy.. but you do have to admit.. this is strange..

I was at a San Antonio Tea Party Debate, and as I was driving home, I heard that Stupak 12 caved.

So why is everyone suprised? Why is everyone calling Stupak a “Judas?” To be a Judas, you were first have to be a disciple.  Stupak was never a ”disciple” – he tried to goad the right side of the aisle with his language about abortion – which is welcomed, but I think just lip service.

But see how quickly he caved? This promise of an executive order… whatever. That’s going to come from the same President that repealed the Mexico City Executive order within a couple of days of office? All that did was give Stupak some sort of “alleged” poltical cover.

We all know that Barack will not issue that executive order.

Instead of sending coins to Stupak to show him as a “Judas” – send those coins to his opponent : Dr. Dan Benishek

My main question is: Why is everyone suprised? HE IS A DEMOCRAT! DEMOCRATS ARE DEMOCRATS FIRST!

Don’t waste your time sending Stupak coins.. send money to his opponent. These symbolic gestures don’t mean anything to them. You send coins to Stupak, they will just spend them in defeating Dr. Dan Benishek.

I am in Texas.. so obviously he is not in my district.

I just want to know why everone is suprised.

Hey Guys,

I made a “Hitler Finds out” video about Hitler learning that Rush won the dance contest at the Miss America contest. Rush mentioned it on his show, and has even linked to it. Over the past 8 hours, I have – according to youtube – only gotten about 200 additional hits. It was 1399 when Rush mentioned it, it is just now 1,523

I have gotten almost as many comments as I have hits, which is unheard of in my mind and experience.

This is not a want for an ego stroke. I just want YT to count the hits that may come from Rush’s site. If the most listened to talk show host in America links to a video, I would think that those hits would be counted. 

I posted my 9/12 March video on here- redstate.com – and it skyrocketed. I would think the same would come from the website of the #1 Radio host in the country.

I am not trying to be whiny, and I understand if I sound like that to some.. but I do think tha tI am on to something here.  

So therefore, I embed the video here, and I ask my fellow RedStaters for help.

I will try and get through to Rush tomorrow, but I know that will be a chore.
