Praying With the Enemy

Okay…so I’ve suspected all along that Obama is a Muslim and he has proven himself a liar and liberal extremist of the worst (Communist/Marxist/Socialist/name your “ist”) kind, but today in church I learned that literally hurt me, both spiritually and physically: my heart broke.

I hadn’t heard this on FoxNews and I didn’t see any posts written here about the National Day of Muslim Prayer to be held in Washington D. C. on Friday, September 25, 2009. 50,000 Muslims are expected to join together and offer prayers to Allah from 7am to 4:00pm (I think the times are correct) in our Capital city.

The government of our great country, founded upon Christian principles and God’s Law, is welcoming mass prayer to an anti-god in its capital city! Will O. show up? How many of our law makers will be there in a show of heathen political correctness? Will the msm cover this event and praise it for being so open-mindedly wonderful?

In the Scriptures you will find that whenever a country or city turned from the one, true God, the repercussions were tremendous. The U.S. has been turning from the Lord for a long time now, and this may just be the move that seals our fate. My comfort comes in knowing that He is in control, and as my pastor put it: “God is the majority, so what have we to fear?” I’ll be praying on Wednesday, the Christian National Day of Prayer, but I will more fervently lift my cries to Heaven on Friday. May God have mercy on us all.

First off all Muslims are not the enemy....

JadedByPolitics (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 12:22PM EST (link)

America was started as a Judeo-Christian nation however it was started because of religious persecution. I don’t like the fact that Muslims have crazy people that are in insane and who haven’t evolved via a reformation like the Catholic Church did but I don’t think they are all the devil either. I don’t think Scientology is a problem nor do I have a problem with atheists. I find your diary to be condescending to those who choose another religion from Christianity and that is un-American.

I have to wonder why every Sunday we end up with a slew of diaries telling members of a political site how they should view religion and what makes us a great country or not based upon our religious views. I don’t think that most of you who posts these diaries realize that one of our long time posters is a Muslim and how offensive your my way or the highway religion is to him and to others of different faiths.

Humor me for a second

1. Copy and paste where, exactly, WaP stated that all Muslims are crazy-insane, unevolved hoodlums.

2. Pay attention to the context of this. BHO crapped all over the National Day of Prayer–I, personally, am curious to see how all this plays out.

I’m sick of politically-correct BS, and I too am curious to see how many of our lawmakers prance over to this thing when they blatantly ignored the National Day of Prayer. If this thing explodes in a cloud of hopey changey PC BS–as I think it will–it will be proof-positive of what WaP is saying.

I didn’t say he said they were crazy that was my take on the nuts in using Islam to blow up women and children. I personally don’t have a problem if the Won was a Muslim though he knew damn well he wouldn’t have won at all had he said so . This poster’s title says praying with the “ENEMY” or didn’t you see that particular part as you rushed in to save his A@@. I say because they are Muslim it does not make them the enemy or is that how you see them as well?

They have every right to have 50K or all 3 million of them here in this country to go down on the mall and do whatever they want that is the beauty of America.

I hardly think I am being PC if I say that every Sunday we get Christians on a POLITICAL site telling us what this country is and how a particular religious view is the ONLY way such as

“In the Scriptures you will find that whenever a country or city turned from the one, true God, the repercussions were tremendous. The U.S. has been turning from the Lord for a long time now, and this may just be the move that seals our fate”

So America is DEAD because another religion will be praying down in DC? or as I believe America is dying because liberalism is killing any sense of responsibility? I would say it’s because of liberalism and NOT because of how someone CHOOSES in a FREE COUNTRY to PRAY!

Ooooookay everybody take a breath

Amy Miller (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 1:31PM EST (link)

I don’t get it. I feel like every time religion comes up, it becomes this huge taboo subject. We should be able to talk about it rationally. It’s not irrelevant, repressive, or harping-on. I’m really not interested in repressing anyone, which for the love of God should be obvious by this point. It’s a valid issue.

I don’t think that WaP is really saying that we should prevent people from praying as they see fit. This is America, and that means you’re free to pray to Jesus, Buddha, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, George Lucas, or the Easter Bunny–honestly, do what you want. I firmly believe that these people have a right to pray wherever they want. Go for it–I pray in public all the time. What she’s saying is that it will be SO FREAKING TYPICAL of this Administration to roll up on this event for all the cameras to see while they have shunned similar, Christian-minded events.

I found a good link, which I posted in another entry: “I’m sorry I freaked everyone out, but…” because I couldn’t figure out how to put it in the comment box. (Not too techy!) Check it out…

And regarding praying…yes, people should be allowed to pray in public…so why can’t I pray with my students when they meet around the pole? Hmmmm.

Hey wordsarepower: the piece of crap you followed this vomit with is no better.

How about you calm down for two seconds and read some of WaP’s previous posts before you say things like this?

I've seen his posting history.

And I really don’t care. This has no place at Redstate. Period.

Shouldn't you ask your school principal that question?

janis (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 1:55PM EST (link)

Or perhaps the school superintendent in your county. I assume they would be the ones to determine that policy. For the record, I think everyone has the right to pray in public as long as they are not insisting that everyone else has to as well.

Agree Jaded, America is dying because of Liberalism.

penguin2 (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 1:45PM EST (link)

Not because of praying by other religions. In fact, if any religion offers prayers for the health, safety, well-being of my country, I am delighted. Extremists of any faith can be harmful if they act in a violent manner toward others who do not believe as they do. I believe this country can and does support people of various faiths, who have the freedom to practice their religion and be happy to be American citizens as well.

As far as what BHO does, IMO, he has already shown to me that he may not practice the Christian faith. Nothing new there, I only fault him for his hypocrisy, because he pretended to be something he is not, to get elected.

My faith is important to me, but also the faith of others. I look upon life, as we can use all the help we can get, and I want to see good for my nation, in a peaceful and positive way. Maybe that is an eclectic view of the world, but I don’t think it changes out from principle core Conservative values. IMO, if people would actually live and practice the core values of their faith, meant as it should be in current times, then we would not have the major extremists issues we are facing today.

I read this as...

fmaidment (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 1:03PM EST (link)

…WaP convicting BHO of doing something before the event takes place.

Let them pray. If Barack goes, so be it. He’s proven himself a liar often enough that if he prays with Muslims but shuns Christians, all it proves is that he lied about something else.

In a free society, a man’s religion cannot be the basis for disqualifying him from service.

I am a Christian

fmaidment (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 1:00PM EST (link)

That tells me that I’m supposed to witness to people of other faiths.

It doesn’t make me better than people of other faiths. It doesn’t make me more American.

I abhor the idea of a “Separation of Church and State,” as the implimentation of such a doctrine leads to religious persecution. However, Muslims are also Americans, and they have a right to access our nation’s capital and pray and pontificate en-masse, just as Christians, Jews and any other religious or political group does.

If all they want to do is pray, let them. This is what America is supposed to be about: Personal freedom.

He isn't a Muslim

mom2oneson (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 2:06PM EST (link)

He drank in public, he doesn’t pray and I’m sure his wife would not be wearing shorts and a tank top or any sleeveless tops in public even if she was a Christian. He wouldn’t speak so much about his daughters in public either.

Uh, you've crossed religion and culture there

fmaidment (Diary) Sunday, September 20th at 2:25PM EST (link)

Mohammed was actually quite vocal about the treatment of women. The idea that Islam forces women to wear the hijab is incorrect: That is entirely a cultural aspect of the middle-east.

Indonesia is also Muslim, but many women there dress much like we do, especially in the larger cities.

A Benazir Bhutto was the female Prime Minister of Pakistan, a Muslim nation.

Islam stretches across many parts of Africa, including Ethiopia, Sudan, Nigeria and more, yet women there don’t wearn hijab.

Women are supposed to be modest in Islam. Wearing shorts doesn’t mean you’re immodest.

Want more proof of religion vs culture? Italy vs Ireland. Both Catholic. Very different cultural norms.
