coldwarrior is right. The local GOP is precisely where you need to focus your efforts. Otherwise you have the same problem, and it's focused on an organization with no apparatus to actually get someone elected. Third parties are an utter waste of time. Work within the GOP to get the conservative message heard.

Maybe there is a an "official clearing house for all things Conservative."

Or many. Redstate.com definitely fits that bill.

I think many of us have banded together as Conservatives here and elsewhere on the net. And we've honed our basic message: respect, honor, enforce and follow the Constitution and, as a starting point, demand that Congress stay within its enumerated, limited powers granted it by Art. I, Section 8 of the Constitution.

But, as I've stated many times, the Republican Party is there for the taking if conservatives would flock to it in droves and fill up the vacancies in the precinct committeeman ranks. Because precinct committeeman are voting members of the leadership heirarchy, and precinct committeeman will get to vote for the endorsements of primary candidates.

Thanks for committing to becoming a precinct committeeman.
Even if no current opening exists (unlikely), just volunteer to assist one of the precinct committeeman in your precinct, or take on some other volunteer role -- Lord knows, most legislative districts need help with lots of things. Then, when a position opens up (as people move, resign, pass away, etc.), volunteer to fill the position.

Thank you.

Cold,

I like your template and I intend to get involved in my local chapter of the Republican Party. With that said here is my philosophy.

1. We band together first as Conservatives.

2. Hone our Conservative message.

3. Take that Conservative message to the Republican Party with the intent of not taking no for an answer.

That is why I believe we need an organization apart from the Republican Party that is official clearing house for all things Conservative.

Thank you.

I spent a good portion of my 4th of July speaking at two Tea Parties in the Phoenix area. And handing out flyers with a couple other conservative Republican Party precinct committeemen. I think we got the flyers in the hands of about 2,000 people or so -- people just like you described who want to "do something" but don't know WHAT to do. And, as you described, a few people who also had ideas about what to do. I found that my message was pretty well received by most.

We already have an umbrella group we can use to organize our conservative coalition. It's called the Republican Party.

Here’s the template:

The sooner, the better.

Thank you.

I am only one. But I am a conservative Republican Party precinct committeeman. And trying to recruit more.
