I had the time so I was thinking of driving to Huntsville state park, but I decided to go to the Huntsville visitor center instead. I’m thinking of when go to see my dad on in San Antonio on the 28th of this month, to get a picture of the Samuel gompers statue in downtown San Antonio. I’m sure there are more statues of him.

Laura Ingraham was doing a riff on how the “keep your rosaries off my ovaries” crowd is now into intimate Federal dictation of our healthcare decision.

We need a retort. How about ….
“Keep Your Mandates Off My Prostrates”
“Keep Your Public Option Off My Privates”

Or maybe start calling it the Pubic Option.

It’s getting a deep around here we we are reduced to meaning less things. It makes no sense anymore. Perhaps we need to heed the words of Sam Houston:

“The great misfortune is that a notion obtains with those in power that the world,or the people,require more governing than is necessary. To govern well is a great is a great science but no country is ever improved by too much governing…most men think when they are elevated to position,that it requires an effort to discharge their duties, and they leave common sense out of the question”

After looking at that plaque and the things that are going on now, that make more sense.
