I respected him for decades. But it seems now, with his acquiescence in the far-Left tabloidization of NBC news, he will go down in history as a pathetic has-been like Dan Rather.

...in this country have strong allegiance (I mean that in a nice way) to or affinity for Israel. I suspect many find Israelis' determination to dig in, hang on and strike back awkward in the social and professional circles which they inhabit, and so adopt the correct distance. And the Haredim, Settlers and AIPAC are just downright embarassing.

Not that the right mindset would do them any good when the highjackers start collecting passports.

as a military base. Nothing more, nothing less. The Palis there are great cover when they get attacked. The Hamas treatment of Palis is much like the way the Nazis treated the Jews in Poland. This will end badly as Obama ramps up the Jew hatred.

Nothing in videotaped tv is an accident and this is typical .... Obama says one thing and denies it a day later and NBC gives him the stage to do it.

I agree that this was a TV staged moment..... giving Obama the opportunity to say "there is no equivalency here" since he has insulted the Israeli's and all the Jewish people in the USA and supporters like myself. He has spoken to the Muslim world as the President of the United States, not just for himself. I, for one am highly offended that he claims to have spoken for the American public…. He certainly has not.

He has shockingly legitimized the argument that there Is no difference between Israel’s handling of their Palestinian violence against them, and the Holocaust. …an argument the Muslim countries use to justify their violence and vows to destroy Israel. The victimhood of the Middle East because of Israel’s very existence has been legitimized by our President, giving the Arab world the right to do as they please…. There is much new here, never in the history of Israel has any President ever done such damage to Israel and Democracy in the Middle East.

As for Brokaw..... he was apparently willing to throw himself under the bus to give Obama an opportunity to take back his 'equivalency' statement. Let's see what the response from the public will be to him. His 'expertise' on the true heroes of WWII has become unimpressive. Thousands of allied soldiers, who had to liberate these many death camps in Germany, Poland and Austria saw something that was unimaginable - - apparently far beyond Brokaw and Obama's understanding. There are however, thousands of feet of films in the National Archives if either has any doubt....maybe they should take some time and look at them.

Possibly instead of spinning this rhetoric as a 'given', it's time we encouraged an actual comparison and real time debate to put this lie to rest. It is just an excuse for anti-Semitism.... T he new term is 'anti-zionist' , which is suppose to make us believe it only applies to some Israeli’s, but in truth, it all boils down

and forwards to accommodate the Palestinians, and they still get missiles launched at them. They warn the Palestinian civilians they are about to retaliate, something the Nazis never did to anyone, and they get accused of an inappropriate response. Palestinians violate cease-fire after cease-fire and the Israelis are supposed to sit there and take it?

What can the Israelis learn from Buchenwald? They can, and probably have learned, that they don't want the Palestinians repeating what the Nazis did, not even on a smaller scale.

Once again, a high-profile "journalist" loses even more respect.

Jewish voters in the U.S. always vote Dem. Don't they realize they are being thrown under the bus? There is a disconnect between their spiritual/cultural connection to Israel. I guess that is not really any different from the recent generations of other faiths in our country, being disconnected from WWII and the values, beliefs and honor of that time.

I don't believe there will be a resurgence or reconnect until we are not only threatened, but actually experience losses of that which we hold dear. People tend to appreciate things only after they have lost them.

BROKAW: What can the Israelis learn from your visit to Buchenwald? And what should they be thinking about their treatment of Palestinians?

So, Mr. Obama. You've just thrown Israel under the bus, blamed America for all the world's problems, insulted the French and the Germans, lectured the Islamic world on 'how to get along,' gave Iran the go-ahead for nuclear weapon preparation, and flown your family over to Europe for a vacation on our dime. So, what else can you enlighten us with concerning the Jewish role in history? What an absolutely fawning sycophant. Could he get any more obsequious? I think not.

What the Israelis can learn is that trusting in the integrity of so-called allies leads to disaster, that the only people the Jewish people can trust is the Jews themselves, and that there is no substitute for a willingness to bear arms in your own defense when faced with an enemy that has no hesitation to resort to barbarism.

Next question, please?

Why is it only the Israelis that are to blame for the conflict with the Palestinians? Why not ask what the effing Palestinians have to learn from Buchenwald? Why are well-known journalists and the President getting away with such an obvious bias?

When the Israelis attack Gaza, they send text messages in Arabic warning the people to clear specific strategic sites in advance. When the Muslims attack Americans, Israelis, Jews, Pakistanis, and Indians--they strap bombs to their bodies and go to places where there's the highest concentration of potential victims, such as at weddings. They're not in the same ballpark, it's not the same sport, their ethics are as distantly related as the East from the West (directionally E/W, not culturally E/W).

It's like somebody being repeatedly abused by a bully and everybody expecting the victim to "lead the way" to a "peaceful coexistence." It's absolutely absurd and I'm tired of them coddling the enemies of our country and our allies.

Sure, he says there's "no equivalency here," but then he goes on to answer the question as if there were.

And I also don't, for a second, believe that in staged and "Made for TV" moments like this interview, the whole thing isn't scripted. Damn near to which foot to start the first step off with.
Every instance I an think of over the last three years, and specifically the last 4 months, when The One has been "allowed" an ad lib moment, it has proved a PR disaster.
People make jokes of "TOTUS", and that THAT implies.
Yet when one stops and considers how this President redefines "Off the reservation", it is no wonder that his Administration-touted to be the most "open and transparent" ever, is marked by being the most tightly controlled and scripted ever.

President Obama would have to know his history to realize that the Nazis and the Israelis are not moroally equivalent.

Wanna bet that was a question prepared by the White House to inflate the One's importance?

The Israeli's should have learned one very important lesson from President Obama’s visit to Buchenwald.

President Obama is prepared, and willing, to throw Israel under the bus for his shot at the Nobel Prize.
