Obama Gives U.S.A. an Expiration Date and it’s NOW

The long road downward to 'equality' begins in the age of Obama

In his much ballyhooed speech given in Cairo, Egypt, yesterday, Barack Obama sought to make common cause with the “Muslim world” as if all Muslims are in accord. Of course, this ignores the simple fact that Muslims kill Muslims far more than Muslims even kill others. Still, it’s all well and good to want to make common cause when it is achievable.

There is much to agree with in Obama’s Cairo speech. (Full text here) His rhetoric about freedom of religion and the American success story is right on. There is also much to quibble with, especially that he seems to assume a moral equivalence between all parties in the conflict between the west and that “Muslim world.”

There is, however, one line in his speech that reveals what he thinks of us and where he thinks we should be as a nation. And that “where” is down.

Given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will inevitably fail. So whatever we think of the past, we must not be prisoners of it. Our problems must be dealt with through partnership; progress must be shared.

What does this say about how President Obama feels about his own nation? Is he not interested in “elevating” us to a higher status if possible? Are we to assume he wants to keep the U.S. down so that it won’t outshine any other nation? Should we assume that he wants to make sure we have as dismal a standard of living as other countries just to be “fair”? Should we abandon our status in the world to avoid the appearance of being “elevated”?

I don’t know about you but the idea of a leveled world playing field implicit in this comment seems to compare quite well with Obama’s stated ideals of “spreading the wealth” that gave him so much trouble during the late presidential campaign.

So, how far will President Obama go to make Muslims feel good? Will he go so far as to make sure the U.S.A. isn’t perceived as being better than anyone else? And will he do his best to lay our country low to fulfill his diplomatic philosophy?

Maybe. But only if the American voter allows him to do so.

As One Who Understood the Threat

Of who he really was and what he intended and wanted, I could never understand how that could be missed by so many others. Now as I watch us be financially destroyed by the spending of money which we do not have, I realize that I didn’t have the slightest idea of how far his hatred and the hatred which I believe Democrats have for this country and its ideals really goes.

This is going to be a wild ride indeed!

Obama is saying that it is time for someone else to be a superpower.

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.

“That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,” he added.

I wasn’t aware that we needed to ask first to make a damn cheeseburger and fill the tank of my truck.

It’s the same sort of we are the world share the pain nonsense that you see at the U.N. where they blame the U.S. for all their problems.
It is nothing more than a way to tear down the U.S. and give rise to Islamic countries.
Obama is letting the world now that he is willing to pull back America’s influence around the world and let someone else take over.

Why don't we start destroying capital

gonzo55 (Diary) Friday, June 5th at 10:48AM EST (link)

so that we’ll be on a more equal footing with other countries who lack our ingenuity and resourcefulness? Why don’t we abandon free-market principles so that our economy will grow at the same rate as the socialist-fascist states of Europe? Why don’t we allow infanticide on demand so that our birth rates will fall below the levels of even Old Europe? Good ideas, all, TheOne!

They all ready are detroying capital.

This entire sub prime mortgage debacle can be laid at the feet of government. The created the law, the environment and the means
for that house of cards. And members, who took money from Fannie and Freddie, actively blocked attempts at oversight and attempts to even try and deal with it before the collapse. It created a huge demand on the housing market “artificially” driving the prices of homes through the roof because they were manipulating the market with their actions. Boom it all collapses, people had mad financial
decisions and entered into contracts for properties that in some areas have dropped in value 50%+. Capital destroyed.
The current financial decisions that this current administration is making will have wide spread negative effects across the entire work force. ( not including Government employee numbers that I am sure is ever increasing) There are going to be areas of the market in which competition will be stifled if not crushed i.e. automotive manufacturing. If you don’t think that the government
won’t create a one sided, favorable to them, sales environment
with tax savings and deductions that only they can give if you buy a Govmobile. They will be able to offer incentives and defer taxes and fees etc that privately owned companies won’t. It is just plain wrong for the government to be involved as an owner, there’s too much conflict of interest that sets a very bad precedent. The governments actions in dealing with this countries fiscal problems
have made matters worse. The problem was made worse and blown out of proportion by a media and a political party that wanted to have disaster that they could use to ram through legislation and hide illegal behavior. All of these actions will cost us dearly, will stifle growth and destroy wealth.

Intro to Federalist Papers; section 5;
paragraph 4.
“…dangerous ambition more often lurks behind the specious mask of zeal for the rights of the people than under the zeal for a firm and efficient government.”

“progress must be shared”. Notice he didn’t say “progress SHOULD be shared.” This is at the core of who Barack Obama is. He, and his kind, sincerely believe that the proper role of government is to play Robin Hood. They believe that it is thier RESPONSIBILITY to redistribute wealth – not just from person to person within our country, but from rich countries to poor countries. They do not believe in charity, but in confiscation. And the really scary thing about it is that they truly believe that they (the intellectual elites) are the only ones smart enough to decide who takes what, who keeps what, and who gets what.
