The whole article, ostensibly a travelogue about "an unprepossesing 17th Century country hotel in Litle Sturminster Newton, Dorset, England," is shot through with this kind of AIG twaddle. Maybe ForbesLife will send him to Deptford to see if it hosted the Last Temptation of Chrysler . What a tool. From his April, 2009 ForbesLife column, “At Large With Christopher Buckley”:

The thugs will steal all the new tourist money, spend the money which will encourage more businesses to locate to the area that can also be robbed. This will lead to additional insurance input to the shop owners who can restock to be robbed again. The uptick in stabbings of foreigners will provide much needed income for the vaunted Public Health Service which everyone knows is the model for the perfect medical system.
