McClatchy Headline: ‘Those Crazy Palins’

Media's liberal bias on full display.

**Update: McClatchy Changes Headline**

OK, before we even get into the latest banal attack on Governor Palin’s extended family perpetrated by the McClatchy newspaper chain, I would like to ask a few questions about “Those crazy Palins: Todd’s half sister indicted in break-ins.”

Has McClatchy ever had any headlines like this: “Those Crazy Kennedys”? After all, there is a wealth of craziness with that demented clan. Or since we recently had Obama’s half brother denied a visa to England over his rape charges — not to mention his illegal immigrant aunt — how about a headline like this: “Those Crazy Obamas”? Did we ever see a headline about “Those Crazy Clintons” when we discovered all the financial misdeeds and drug busts of Hillary and Bill’s extended family? How about Carter? Did good ol’ Billy Carter ever cause McClatchy to say “Those Crazy Carters”?

Or, as is more likely the case, did we see the errors of family members in the above clans from pols of the Democratic Party treated in matter-of-fact ways so as not to cause direct derision, so that a certain vague amount of respect was maintained?

But, not so with Governor Palin’s family. Nope, for the Old Media, it is open season to ridicule her as much as possible. And just before the 2010 midterm elections, too! Imagine that?

So, I wonder if McClatchy thought it was all “crazy” and stuff when a certain Senator drove off a bridge with his gal pal in the car with him? Wasn’t that “crazy” enough for McClatchy?

Or is this attack only on the family of Republicans part of McClatchy’s “speaking truth to power” conceit?

Oh, and as to the story itself, I can only say is… mehh.

**Update: McClatchy Changes Headline**

At 9AM, McClatchy changed its headline to drop the “Crazy Palins” bit from it. Here is a screenshot of a Google search to show that a search of the original headline still refers back to the McClatchy story discussed here.

And here is a screen shot of a Google cached image on the original source:

….of the MSM’s even handedness.
The teaching of hatred of Conservative thought begins with the college 101 courses, English, Sociology, Philosophy, Poly Sci and Art History. After four years of this increasingly, ever more strenuous Liberal inculcation, soon to be graduates of College and University Liberal Arts are ready for pie throwing contests at an Ann Coulter college speech presentation in Arizona, or, a near riot at, you guessed it, an Ann Coulter speech at the University of Connecticut.

There is of course a strategy of pre-emption afoot...

- with the MSM and online media such as HuffPo all going after Palin in a substained effort, as mysterious “leaks” from nobody/false rumors, persist. If Sarah Palin is so silly and irrelevant, why the obsession?

Clearly the Left noted her appeal, and are out to eliminate the threat- It’s not like it’s not obvious-

Liberals’ double-standard sexism is appalling; she’s “dumb” because she’s a happy and attractive Christian, who enjoys being a mother? Real feminists need to be angry, wear combat boots, no make-up, short hair, and live alone in a studio apartment in the East Village? She’s not the right kind of example because she doesn’t support affirmative action… but instead went out there and just kicked butt? Sarah Palin has been highly successful in life while ignoring the left-wing feminist model… this helps to explain the extra dose of venom in the attacks.

Democrats are plenty afraid of Palin coming-back at them in 2012 with a dynamic and complementary VP like Bobby Jindal… or visa versa. And they have plenty of reason to fear her. Palin is the most popular governor in the country; her 60+% approval rating exceeds that of the MSM-pimped Obama… are all those people up there idiots? Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until she stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.

Wouldn’t it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine? Or shady political operators like Tony Rezko? Racist preachers? Instead of doing business with every last one of them?

Go get em, Sarah- and don’t mind the press, nobody will be listening to them anymore after the pending Obamamania implosion.

I agree with 99% of your comments,

but in the interests of being factual, Governor Rell in CT (my state) has a 72% approval rating as of a few weeks ago, down from 75% a few months ago in the Quinnipiac (Q) polls.

She’s a moderate R, no doubt, who embraced the stimulus package wholeheartedly. But she is decidedly right of our left-wing legislature.

I think Rob Simmons is the same vein of R as Rell, but he has the strongest chance of knocking off the decidedly left Dodd, so I’ll probably support him.

He’s speaking at today’s Norwich, CT tea party. I may see him if I get up there after work …

Palin: The Absolutely Makes My Blood Boil - And More Determined Than Ever

Palin stands as the Right’s gut check against media bias. She called them out on the biggest stage in the world, when no other Republican has ever dared challenge the fifth column on such a stage. We owe it to her to stand by her and call out the scumbags. The media will not be allowed to destroy our young leaders.

Sarah Palin is great, but two are stronger than one, and a thousand is stronger than two.

People is doing the same thing, with a six-page spread of Bristol’s problems earlier, and now more on Todd’s half-sibliings. Yet nothing about the Obama half-brother living in a Kenyan slum, nothing about the sex-offender half-brother, nothing about the illegal-alien aunt lliving on the public dime.

MSM couldn’t be more transparent — they’ve never forgiven Gov. Palin for giving TheOne&tm; that call-down in her acceptance speech. I never used to root for a business enterprise to fail, but the legacy newspaper chains have it coming in spades.

Sorry Sarah, but in my book you do not qualify to be the President.
You are also too mouthy, you definitely carry way too much baggage around.
You are known only because Sen. McCain stumbled over the rock you were under. It was getting late and he had no other names floating around. I doubt if it ever crossed McCain’s mind that a candidate for VP and therefore next in line for the Presidency must be consistent and effective ALL four weeks of each month.

Face it, you have wound your watch several times to extend your ‘fifteen minutes’. The novelty has worn off and the coiuntry needs to get back to the business at hand.

Deciding on a viable candidate who will appeal to the Christian right wing is going to be challenging enough without detractors from your camp insisting on trying to break into the ‘big leagues’. Please Sarah, leave this to the professionals.

Sarah, go back up and out 5,000 miles and 4 time zones behind civilization to your igloo in Alaska. Be the governor of that state, shoot a duck or a moose, or whatever ‘you people’ do while you have your six months of daylight.
Be very thankful that you are still able to carry your hat in your hand back to Nanuckville instead of your a$$. You got just a little taste of how hardball is played in real life. The fact that you were able to leave in one piece should be enough for you to relay to all of your ‘brood’ as you gather around the campfire.

Just think Sarah, you will always have that to look back on.
