This is the case where a group of legislators sued to stop the French/Elton investigation. See, particularly the discussion of fairness in administrative and legislative investigations, a Constitutional right in Alaska but not so under the federal Constitution.
Digest: The SC concluded there was no third party right to assert the individual Constitutional rights of another.
This is the first of the “Gov. Palin Cases” to get a SC decision. The one on the suppressed emails and the one regarding the individual employees’ resisting the subpoenae are still pending, maybe some others too.

Also, the concurrence indicated that the justices were loath to involve themselves in (due to the identity of the plaintiffs) what appeared to be largely an internal dispute among the legislators.
If I correctly recall, this is the elaboration of the SC’s refusal to not allow a preliminary injunction that was requested in an effort to prevent the public release of the results of the investigation during the campaign – and the result of which was that the report was issued, the Palin side issues criticism in reponse, and the whole matter quickly faded in the absence of a “smoking gun”.
So basically we have a dead matter that the court was tidying up after. I don’t see any clear signals as far a future decisions, other than that the court is not going to roll over for Palin. Which means she’d better have good legal arguments in the other cases pending. (And you’ve written several times as to why Sarah may not prevail.)
