Union Execs Meet at Swanky Resort Hotel

As union members lose their jobs all across the country, the AFL-CIO executive council met at a luxury hotel in Miami Beach, Florida this week.

The union bigwigs met at the Fontainebleau where the cheapest room rings up at $400 dollars a night.

Were I a union member, I might take exception to such extravagance for union bosses. Especially in an economy like this.

Unions haven’t been run for the benefit of their members for a very long time. This is why they are losing membership everywhere except in government jobs.

Cavuto corrected

Neil Cavuto asked the AFL-CIO’s organizing director about this, and graciously conceded that it was a non-story.

The union had negotiated rates three years ago to less than $200. Pretty savvy for a bunch of no-goodniks, huh?

Of course, the ever-astute Glenn Beck STILL ran with the faux story, even after his co-worker conceded that he was wrong.

Fox News … ever vigilant … ever wrong.
