To add to Moe’s info, here is some on one of the groups that actually planed and ran several Tea Parties last week…

After a successful Chicago Tea Party on Friday, February 27, the Dontgo movement is surging forward to gather more like minded people to oppose this tearing down of America sponsored by President Obama and his Euro-styled Democrat Party.
Dontgo has launched TaxDayTeaParty.com as an online HQ for all the coming April 15th nationwide tax day tea party rallies.
Thus far, April 15 rallies are scheduled in Montana, Nevada, Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee. If you want to help organize a rally in your state, or want to be kept updated on the plans as they develop, be sure and go to http://www.taxdayteaparty.com/.

This is a movement that I hope becomes a major
dbecraft Monday, March 2nd at 1:38AM EST (link)voice for the all those who believe in the Constitution. That of course includes all Republicans and Libertarians that believe in our founding fathers vision. I just wish that it would come to smaller towns so that I could become involved… Keeping my fingers crossed…

progressivetokyo Monday, March 2nd at 2:16AM EST (link)How many people have you got to turn out at the events at the previous ones? I heard turnout wasnt so great. Not to mention I recently read it was a manufactured “grass roots” uprising.
Anyone care to comment? I can provide quality links if needed.
In Chicago
Warner Todd Huston (Diary) Monday, March 2nd at 4:23AM EST (link)Well, the Chicago one had between 250 and 400 from what I know. Of course, it was only thrown together in a few day’s time. There was little by way of advertising. That’s why they are starting with some advanced notice this time for the April 15th ones. The first few were test runs and now they want to try for a bigger effort.
But, I’m curious why the numbers mean much to you for a nascent movement? Doesn’t everything start with one person and grow from there? Do you want to throw your hands up and quit because the VERY first effort didn’t turn out 2 million people?
Seems sort of short sighted of ya, if so — not to mention rather silly.
But, then, as a “progressive” your goal is not to see success but to see it end. So YOUR opinion is both unwelcome AND easily discounted.

Let’s get down to brass tacks here. How much for the ape?
How many people turned out for Obama's Stimulus "Meetings"
scarlos (Diary) Monday, March 2nd at 5:32AM EST (link)If we can beat that, I think we can call that a victory. A multimillion strong, well-organized group of Obama-zombies turning out in less numbers than a series of Conservative impromptu events is something to behold.

Great time at St Louis Tea Party
Kookie Monday, March 2nd at 12:23PM EST (link)Former NFL player Jackie Smith asked the crowd of about 1,000 how many had ever demonstrated before. A great many hands went up including my husband’s and mine.
We had a great time and loved all the enthusiasm and signs. Enjoyed talking to a young gal with a sign The Wicked Witch of The West with Pelosi in effigy.
We plan on attending April 15th and have been telling our friends. My husband keeps saying we are activists now.
This is fun!

Kookie, it's great to see you here again!
janis (Diary) Monday, March 2nd at 12:30PM EST (link)I’ve often thought about you over the past year and wondered how the shingles thing went for you. Hope it’s gone permanently. As to the activism, yes, it’s great! I plan to be at the one in Nashville on the 15th, too. Couldn’t make the one last week as I had both grandkids and both were sick.
Again, so happy to see you back and apparently feeling better.
Correction
