5’4in, former ballerina reputed “tough guy”, is doing likewise with other media pimps. Really the calls are probably just for coordination, tighten the message, be on the same page kind of thing. It’s important to present a united face to the morons of America as you work to ruin their future.

There isn’t any difference at all.

And NO it isn’t “completely appropriate” for the media to be PARTICIPATING in creating the spin for the White House and helping them plan strategy!!!

Shouldn’t they be REPORTING the news instead of making it?

Shouldn’t they be removed from the government that they are supposed to be writing about instead of in the pocket of that same government?

What is the difference between this and a state run media?

If the White House Press Corp feels loved with this little arrangement. Lets see if they how they handle this with Mr. Gibbs, at their next meeting. Now quesiton Emanuael represents Obama and is perfectly within his rights to be setting the agenda with the media. But, this is not the media. This morning clatch are four guys, with a history together, kicking around WH activity for their own purposes, and the question of topics, security clearances, and need to know are legitimate. As for Stephanopolous, it would seem to me, he has a disclosure to make, every Sunday, regarding his regular contacts w/the WH.

Anyone with a modicum of rational thought and common sense sees right through the ultra-sheer veil separating the new administration and the mainstream media.

RE is openly represents the Obama government. He is a part of the Obama whitehouse and helps set its agenda.

It’s completely appropriate for the media to talk with members of the government to get stories.

The military guys were not members of the Bush whitehouse. They were hired by the newsmedia to be objective 3rd party observers.

Isn’t that a big difference?

Maybe it’s a national security issue. Better for the MSM to get their daily talking points via phone than fax or email or Twitter or whatever.

You talked about the Pentagon deal, but imaging the outrage we’d have heard if Dana Perino or another Bush staffer had done this with the Washington Times.

If they had a way to do this via some sort of secure TV hookup and there were say half a dozen people receiving it, wouldn’t it have a higher viewership than MSNBC? Heck, they could hold it unsecured on MSNBC and nobody would even know the difference!
