I wouldn’t waste it actually reading her tripe, of course, but it would be nice to have the free time.

The question of whether or not her specific advice has merit is rendered irrelevant after the monumental stupidity of her analogy. How can anyone take her seriously after that?

Personally I never figured out why anyone took her seriously before, either.

However, as noted, much of the rest of her piece does do a pretty clear job of offering a warning to The One.
A warning he will, no doubt, ignore.

Most people like most of my friends and (egh) my inlaws voted/supported/support for Obama because he was/is
a) The Democrat, different from the current President who gets all the blame
b) Popular and the media fed the public this popularity, who in turned fed into the media….

Bottom line…very very FEW people voted/supported/support Obama for his record and/or his views.

This woman is a classic Obama supporter. At her very core she does not believe in socializing our economy, she probably at her core desires stronger immigrant policy, she probably does not believe higher taxes for some and handouts for others is a good policy…but by golly Obama is hope and change.

..that this is largely a product of Applebaum’s roots in the Washington media establishment.

The people she hangs with, ‘support for Obama’ is a given and even slight deviations from the liberal agenda will make you an Outcast.

With this column, however, she has reaffirmed her butt-kissing credentials, by fawning over Obama and comparing him to a real hero.

She can now safely return to the DC dinner party circuit.

What an insult to Capt. Sullenberger. If I were him I would sue Anne Applebaum for slander & libel. Suing people is something that Obama is good at. I would guess Obama will sue America for something in the next 4 years.
