Get ready, Sean Hannity and Dr. Laura: here come a whole raft of zombie-like “progressive” seminar callers, with talking points via the intertubes.

DISCUSSION POINTS
These points are only to provide extra information and suggestions. Your personal story will make the most compelling message.
- For most Americans, their health care plan covers too little and costs too much. Far too many people delay or even skip the care they need because they simply can’t afford it.
- The plan the President laid out includes the largest health care tax cut for middle class families in history and makes coverage more affordable for tens of millions of families and small business owners and expands coverage to over 31 million Americans who are currently uninsured.
- This plan will give millions of Americans new choices in health insurance by making coverage more affordable, ending the denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions, putting power in the hands of consumers instead of insurance companies and providing one of the largest tax cuts in history while also reducing our national deficit.
- Reform couldn’t be more urgent – just this month consumers in California were told their premiums could go up as much as 39 percent.
- Too many in Washington are now saying that we should delay or give up on reform entirely, but Americans understand the stakes for our economy and our lives, and we want action.

The problem with Hannity
Scope (Diary) Thursday, February 25th at 6:36PM EST (link)is that he takes every Leftist caller. He tries to educate/argue with them. He is not capable of doing either. I’ve heard callers that even I could have corrected/educated better than Hannity does.
Agreed
Christine (Diary) Thursday, February 25th at 6:51PM EST (link)which is why I have a difficult time listening to his radio show.
The primary process is FLAWED. Two states should not decide our candidate.

Agree here too (three?)....
fightnright Thursday, February 25th at 8:00PM EST (link)Too bad that the qualities that make people excellent media hosts – the gift of gab, endless energy and appetite for entertaining and performance even when tired or when the news cycle is dull, plus a knack for self-promotion (above all!) – are not the same qualities that make one intellectually superior at political analysis and debate. I see this deficit in Bill O’Reilly, too. What a waste of rightwing platform time – though our pundits make up the slack (when not constantly interrupted by the hosts!) As for the constant recycling of the same talking points, it’s almost as if these guys don’t believe that they ever need to bother learning anything new.
Former O'Reilly viewer...
voxoreason Friday, February 26th at 4:37PM EST (link)My wife and I used to watch this guy every night. Then he seemed to appoint himself to be the fourth branch of gov’t, ending discussions with guests with a compelling story, often of overbearing gov’t, by barking at the guest: “Well, look into it and get back to me, and we’ll see what we can do.”
Editorial “we” or royal “we”?
“We” are not amused, as the Queen of England might say.
He has to have a spectacular guest to show up on our TV.
While I agree with most of what Hannity says, he tends to monopolize interviews, a problem that Glenn Beck shares. Has anyone noticed that Beck refers to and draws a misrepresentation of the Laffer curve, even if Laffer is right there, presumably too much of a gentleman to point it out?
The Laffer curve is a bell curve, with the “rate of taxation” as the x axis and the amount of tax revenue as the y axis. Obviously, if anyone is taxed at 0% (0 times any number is 0), while if taxed at 100% (one works and gives all of one’s paycheck to the gov’t, keeping nothing), there won’t be any tax revenues at either extreme.
As with measures of intelligence, the extremes will be low (very few super-stupid or super-genius types, but a huge bump in the middle).
And the verbal fillers
Return to Revolution (Diary) Thursday, February 25th at 6:57PM EST (link)I choose Medved over Hannity 3 of 4 times because of those things. And considering Medved annoys to no end with his constant adulation of McCain et al, thats something. At least Medved does a decent job arguing with libs and has excellent specials on history.

kdoc Thursday, February 25th at 8:07PM EST (link)we have Herman Cain, whose talk show is actually intelligent and free from screaming and bombast. I’ve gotten to where I prefer NPR and “All Things Distorted” to Hannity.

Return to Revolution (Diary) Thursday, February 25th at 7:00PM EST (link)that a bunch of liberals who wouldn’t normally sit through hours of conservative talk are suddenly going to do it now that Obama has given them a list of talking points.

I love when liberals call up ...
YankeeConservative (Diary) Thursday, February 25th at 7:06PM EST (link)This will only help the radio shows seem like they have a broad listener base. True, maybe Sean will simply repeat the same thing over and over again … but I dare one of these fools to call up Rush and try one of these clown talking points.
Interesting concept
peg_c (Diary) Thursday, February 25th at 8:06PM EST (link)As mentioned, Sean already entertains tons of lefties – callers AND guests (same reason I give up listening after a short while). Rush zeroes right in on them if Snerdley lets them on, and they make the host look great.. Mark Levin lives for lefties, I hope they really bombard him. “Shut up you big dope!” “You’re a moron!”
I don’t listen to anybody else. This promises to be initially entertaining but ultimately boring and epic fail.
Government cannot be the solution when government is the problem.
Here's a suggestion:
Duke Thursday, February 25th at 9:52PM EST (link)There’s an option on the website for listening online to the selected radio program. If you have your computer running at work, just click on the link and listen live to your favorite conservative talk show host. Let the moonbats pay for the bandwidth.
It’s not about a purge. It’s about an insurrection.
When you channel a moonbat, it is important to
The_Gadfly (Diary) Thursday, February 25th at 10:22PM EST (link)not become the moonbat.
The website isn’t paying anything for the link, your employer is. And while most employers have what seems like an awful lot of available bandwidth, if there are more than 50 employees, there is no quicker way to kill the pipe than streaming a live anything. It’s one of the reasons employers tend to prohibit streaming media for non-work related links, and to have strong HR policies in place to enforce that prohibition.
You are somewhat mistaken
Duke Friday, February 26th at 8:16AM EST (link)I used to run an ISP. I’m also a Rush 24/7 subscriber and listen to his show online at work every day. The bandwidth consumption by an employer is minimal, especially when compared to the massive streaming load on the source caused by hundreds of thousands of listeners who can’t get their favorite talk show over the airwaves.
Your employers bandwidth is already paid for, while the bandwidth for the DNC/Bamsterbots is probably paid via an ‘on demand’ rate.
Go for it – you wanna hear Dennis Miller and your local AM station doesn’t carry it? Here’s your solution!
It’s not about a purge. It’s about an insurrection.
Okay, you I looked at your posting history and gave you the benefit of the doubt,
The_Gadfly (Diary) Saturday, February 27th at 11:20AM EST (link)but you are in fact a moonbat. I work in the IT support department for large companies. Streaming to the desktop kills the bandwidth the company pays for to support the business that supports your paycheck. Furthermore the link is a redirector, not a source link. They click across to the actual source and the impact on their bandwidth is minimal, on the same order as a text posting. Rush, Hannity, Dr. Laura and the rest will pay the higher bandwidth usage, which I regard as entirely proper as it IS their show. But there is little extra charge to the lefty.
How I used to love to fire people for violating our IT
Achance (Diary) Saturday, February 27th at 11:38AM EST (link)policies! They had no idea what capabilities we had to look over their shoulder and we’d just walk in with their summary and a few screen prints and give them the German Choice. Sometimes if it was porno or gambling, we’d insist on firing them for cause rather than let them make the right choice. If it was kiddie porn or cyber sex, we’d just turn our stuff over to the cops. Funny thing was that they all had to sign the policy and attest that they understood they had to adhere to it (Note: not that they understood the policy, but rather that they had read it and understood they had to follow it – important distinction.) and they knew we routinely walked into offices and cubbies and people walked out never to return, but nevertheless, hardly a week and never a month went by without somebody getting disciplined or dismissed for doing bad things on the State’s computers.

bigmaude Thursday, February 25th at 11:18PM EST (link)just for curiosity and rush and glenn’s name and numbers weren’t listed! However, Numbers for Focus on the Family, which is Dr. James Dobson, Thru the Bible, which is J Vernon Mcgee, a deceased minister who takes 5 years to go through the Bible, and Insight for Living, which is Chuck Swindoll. I guess these are for calling in to justify tax payer funded abortions. Can’t you hear THAT call???
They only list shows on air now
Erick Brockway (Diary) Friday, February 26th at 1:51AM EST (link)They gave me The Mark Levin show to call in to. I clicked the “Listen” button, and there he was streaming.
Only thing was, it was a recorded show, hours ago.

They even list libtard hosts...
johnb316 Friday, February 26th at 9:19AM EST (link)…like that fat gas-bag Ed Schultz, the failed Randi Rhodes from the former Gas America network. They may even list Alan Colmes, though I didn’t bother to click through all of the possible shows (more important things to do than to read Milhous’ propaganda). I wonder how the libtard hosts would handle these talking points from the Bamster?
And college stations too

irishgirl Friday, February 26th at 9:49AM EST (link)I listen to Christian talk radio and they encouraged these twits to bring it on. Do the libs really think this is going to be effective since everyone knows about this? Oh, I keep forgetting, they’re not that bright anyway. Also, agree with above, I think the best name to call them is socialists.

Just for fun
mrjiblet Friday, February 26th at 12:46PM EST (link)Why not send in a “report” of your call? Make it slightly absurd — aka Rockefeller’s sob story of the boy who died from Leukemia (how government health care would have prevented that was left mysteriously hanging in the air. In fact, if you drop by the Blair House today I would bet it’s still there. Hanging. Waiting.)
I shared the story of how my aunt died in a traffic accident because the insurance companies wanted more money. True story but with an absurd conclusion.
Much like every liberal talking point yesterday.
