They exemplify all of her greatness, valor and compassion. The military sense genuine support and regard. They also know when they are respected.

every time I saw coverage of President Bush visiting with or talking about our troops. He had such a tender heart for them all, and such gratitude for their service.

The other thing President Bush did was treat our troops with respect. Have you ever seen Obama behave respectfully regarding our troops? Have you ever noticed how he “salutes” them? It looks like more of a dismissal. I cringe every time I see it.

It must be disheartening for our service men and women to have such an uncaring, manipulative, power hungry, %$*#@ as their commander in chief.

I wouldn’t trust ‘O’ to walk my dog and keep her safe while crossing the street, and I don’t trust him to keep us safe. I do, however, trust the men and women serving in the trenches to do everything they can to defend America. The deserve all the love, respect, and support we can give them.

know EXACTLY how I feel on this subject. I’m not going to rehash it all for this audience right now, but I may post another diary on it soon.

American Soldiers and Marines (and to a lesser extent the other services) are still dying – but under our previous CinC, the vast majority of us knew what were fighting for; what the risks were and what the consequences of defeat or victory would be.

Under the current CinC – I don’t know the answers to those questions.

I feel like the war is on autopilot, while the person who should be flying the plane is busy chatting up the fight attendants – more concerned with how cool people think he is than with getting safely to the destination.

My son called Obama a Communist – he said he and others really don’t discuss politics but NO ONE likes him.

I understand how you feel sometimes; arguing with people who have no idea what we as a nation, let alone the military are facing. It isn’t until we have another terrorist attack that people will get a clue again. And even then, you will still have the “Blame America first” crowd hollering. And while I greatly disliked serving under Clinton, I have an even harder time watching or listening to anything pertaining to Obama. He doesn’t care for the military, he has a great dislike for them. But the awesome thing about the United States Military is that we rise above the bullsh*t and continue to defend and preserve this awesome nation of ours. Keep your head up Erick…
