the school board and perhaps an attorney to rectify this indoctrination of their children.

I’m going to go find a cave to live in until the insanity kills itself off. I don’t know how their heads don’t explode from the absolute nuttiness. They don’t even have a clue what they’re talking about judging from their “pledge.”

I was shocked to find out that Barack Obama will be talking to all public school students on September 8, 2009. Its is a mandate from the Department of Education issued in a letter dated August 26, 2009 by Secretary Arne Duncan.

On the surface, a discussion about succeeding and striving at school is admirable. But, looking at the study guides provided, it is obvious that this is a political end-around. Its goal is to use our children as politcal guinea pigs and to help advance the Obama Agenda. Seventh through twelth graders will “discuss” how Obama inspired them and what they can do to help him. Pre-K through sixth graders will have to write a letter to themselves about this and be held accountable for the results.

This is brazen politicization of the classroom. A discussion of goal setting and effort committment doesn’t need to include self-serving partisan pressure from this Administration. The timing is particularly dubious when you see the two week lead-time (for a National Event) ! Also, Obama’s favorable rating is below 50%. Clearly, it is attempt to block oppostion to this and to bolster his polls.

It is offensive to this community and state, which voted overwelmingly against Obama, to have its children forced to participate in this gross charade. I urge all parents to contact the school district and their specific schools to complain strenously and to opt out their children. Also, if you are a teacher and object, you can join many others aound the country and not participate.

It is obscene to expose innocent and vulnerable children to such propaganda techniques. These methods serve tyrants in Cuba and North Korea well. They have no place in the United States.
