I guess I just don’t get it

about Obama

You know, I see and hear all they hype Obama is getting, and I am still very confused as to why anyone in their right mind could ever support the socialism he promotes. I’ll be honest with you, my fellow Conservatives, I’m no huge fan of John McCain, but the thought of Barack Obama as POTUS scares me to death. We Conservatives need to stand up, we are on the offensive here, Obama is on the ropes, we just have to finish the job. The nomination of Sarah Palin for VP I think should seal the deal for many Conservatives. I think it would be so ironic if the first woman VP, or even President, was a Conservative Republican.

For some reason, those on the left do not allow themselves to think. I do A LOT of thinking, I know what’s important, raising taxes on the rich, and promoting infanticide would be disastrous in my view. There is no substance to Obama, 143 days in the Senate, coupled with being a “community organizer” qualifies someone to be President? John McCain fought proudly for our country in Vietnam, it’s a miracle that he came out of the POW camp he was in alive. The thought of fighting for our country seems to disgust many liberals. Many of them think that we humans are causing the earth to warm, which is in itself an arrogant assumption. God created this planet with the ability to heal itself. Man is a very small element of the planet, sure there are 6 billion people on the planet, but we are only as big as the space we take up, we can’t look down on earth as most liberals would have us think. It’s so blatantly obvious that we couldn’t destroy the planet if we tried. Now, don’t misunderstand me here, (as I have found out how easily misunderstood I can be from a previous post, which I will address momentarily), I believe we should be good stewards of our planet, we are just sojourners here, but we are charged by God Himself to take care of it, and that is something that we should all practice. Funny, I haven’t found the scripture in which God has commanded us to properly inflate our tires and get regular tune-ups to save gas. There are a laundry list of problems that liberals try and force upon us all, when if they would just think about things a little bit, they would realize that the things they propose would damage our nation very seriously. It’s truly sad, just tonight, I heard on the radio that the Democrats want to cut taxes on the lower and middle classes, and in order to have the revenue to do that, they said we need to raise taxes on the upper class. Funny, nobody said anything about cutting spending, or unnecessary earmarks, but their answer to everything is to raise taxes, and not to create revenue, to control us because they look upon us with total disdain. How Marxist.

In closing, I would like to say that I pray I’m not misunderstood as I was in my last posting. I was incorrectly labeled as “bashing” Mormons, which I did nothing of the sort, I was called a troll, which I don’t understand, as I do not live under a bridge, I even received an empty threat of being banned. I want everyone to realize, what I say is what I say, it comes directly out of my heart. God leads me to speak up for him, and I think it was truly sad that I would receive such comments on one of my favorite Conservative sites. I don’t post here to offend, or hurt peoples feelings, I am not like that. I will not lie, however, or cover up the truth in any way. Everyone needs to understand that I am not an American, or a Conservative first, I am a Christian first, then every other priority falls into its proper place in life. That is just reality, and the reality is this: No matter how this post is received, I will be at the polls in November to do my part in furthering Conservatism, and the Conservative cause. Now is the time to stand up to Democrats and take them out!!

Southern Baptists get a bad rap.

The truth about Christianity, and Mormonism.

I’m not much on blogging, but when I hear what I’ve been hearing about Southern Baptists, I need to step up and clear things up. First of all, yes, I am a Southern Baptist. The problems I have are the following:

First of all, Rush Limbaugh. Don’t mis-understand me here, I am a huge fan of Rush, I subscribe to his website and listen to his podcast everyday. He validates what we as Conservatives believe and I am in agreement with him 99.9% of the time. My problem is with some of the things he has said about people like Mike Huckabee, a Southern Baptist.

Rush has cast doubt on the validity of Gov. Huckabees statements regarding Mitt Romney. The two things that come to mind are the statements that Gov. Huckabee made saying “Don’t Mormons believe that Lucifer and Christ were brothers?” and the other statement where Gov. Huckabee said Mormonism is a cult. Both of these statements quoting Gov. Huckabee are in fact true.

If researched, you’ll find that Mormons do in fact believe that Christ and Lucifer are what they call “spirit brothers”. They believe that God was a man at one time like any one of us, which could not be, and in fact is not true. now to the second point, about Mormonism being a cult, well, there are seven marks of a cult, and Mormonism meets all of the criteria. 1.)CULTS REJECT ALL PARADOXES OF SCRIPTURE. 2.)CULTS REJECT ANYTHING THEY CANNOT EXPLAIN. 3.)CULTS USE THE BIBLE – PLUS! 4.)CULTS RECOGNIZE A MAN OR GROUP AS HAVING ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY. 5.)CULTS DENY SALVATION BY FAITH ALONE. 6.)CULT LEADERS DO NOT WANT THEIR FOLLOWERS TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES. 7.)CULTISTS MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO LEAVE THE ORGANIZATION. The LDS church meets all of these categories, therefore making it a cult. Please don’t mis-understand, I am not bashing religion here, I’m not bashing Rush, honestly, folks, we would be incredibly lost without people like him, I’m just saying that when he talks about Southern Baptists, he doesn’t know the truth or facts about us.

I’m glad Mitt Romney is a Conservative. We need more Conservative leadership. However, electing him to the office of President would validate Mormonism and while that may not be dangerous to American politics, it would be dangerous to Christianity. There simply comes a time when people who believe in God must trust God to work with people who really believe in Him, even if they’re not as Conservative.

Now to Sally Quinn. I heard the comment that she made saying that “Southern Baptists do not allow women to be pastors”. That is absolutely correct. In the Southern Baptist Convention, women can’t be pastors, or deaconesses due to the fact that the Bible points out that pastors and deacons are to be “spiritual men” and it also says that they are to be “the husband of one wife”. My issue here is, by following scripture the way it needs to be followed, then, no, women can’t be “spiritual men” and they for sure can’t be “the husband of one wife”. I believe that womens role in church is very very important, don’t get me wrong.

I am not in any way shape or form putting women down, I am simply following the words of God. I respect women in my church very much, and their role is just as important, and in some cases even more important than the role of men. Women should not think that being “subservient” to your husbands means that you need to bow and serve, it is simply a way of saying that you should seek out the wisdom and council of your husbands, men should likewise do the same with their wives.

I think it’s very important that people put these things in the proper context. No where in the Bible does it point out that women should not have a job, or cannot have a career, it simply states that husbands shall rule over their wives, but you cannot look at that at face value, you have to look at that in light of scripture, and the time period in which scripture was written, we must break down not only the language barrier, but the cultural barrier as well, yes, husbands rule over their wives in the way of being the head of the household, the main bread winner, the one that will wade through hell to protect his family, it does not mean that our wives are slaves or our servants. There is no way to get that out of scripture when scripture is read in proper context.

In closing I would like to point out that facts about Mormonism can be found all over the web, but the best place to go would be Utah Lighthouse Ministry. This site is run by Sandra Tanner, the great great granddaughter of Brigham Young, and former Mormon. I strongly encourage everyone to visit her website if you want to know more about Mormonism.
