Liz Cheney Makes It Official: With Her Latest Move She Is NOT Running for Reelection

Congressperson Liz Cheney is a pretty smart person about how politics work in the swamp. She, of course, is the offspring of Darth “Dick Cheney” Vader so she knows how a move like cuddling up to Nancy Pelosi will play not only in Washington D.C. but back in her home state of Wyoming.

When I say her home state I really mean her Mom and Dad’s home state — she grew up in D.C. so she knows Wyoming more like a tourist than a bonafide resident. I hear The Equality State is a really nice place to visit and Liz has taken full advantage of that it seems using her famous last name to get elected from that state.

However, those days I believe are coming to an end.

As I wrote here last week Donald Trump Has Some Thoughts on the Primary Against Liz Cheney the 45th President checked in on her political future. From that article where Trump gave some of his thoughts on her…

Paying close attention to the Wyoming House Primary against loser RINO Liz Cheney. Some highly respected pollsters tell me she’s toast in Wyoming after siding with Crazy Nancy Pelosi and supporting the Democrat Impeachment Hoax. And that’s just the beginning! This is a “hot” race with some very interesting candidates running against her. Remember though, in the end we just want ONE CANDIDATE running against Cheney. I’ll be meeting with some of her opponents in Bedminster next week and will be making my decision on who to endorse in the next few months. JUST ONE CANDIDATE. Thank you!

My colleague Bonchie also checked in with what the GOP should do with their wayward member in the House with his piece right here Republicans Have One Move Left to Make Regarding Liz Cheney and They Better Make It.

Well, Bonchie might get his wish, being it was announced that Liz will be getting a PRIME speaking slot for the January 6th committee hearing on why the Capitol was attacked.

A PRIME speaking slot for a committee hearing? Why not a reality T.V. show?

A.O.C. must be so peeeeeeved.

From The Hill

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) will give an opening statement at Tuesday’s first hearing by the select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection, underscoring how Democrats want to present the proceedings as bipartisan despite the boycott by House GOP leaders.

Cheney’s opening statement will follow one from the select committee’s chairman, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), according to a source familiar with the plan.

The select committee’s first hearing on Tuesday will feature testimony from four police officers who defended the Capitol on Jan. 6: Harry Dunn and Aquilino Gonell of the Capitol Police, as well as Michael Fanone and Daniel Hodges of the Capitol Police.

The negotiations for Cheney to wrangle a premiere spot on a committee that is just going to re-hash why the national guard was protecting the Capitol for months after Jan 6th must have been intense.

Pelosi: Liz, I really loved your Dad (LIE) and want you to be on this committee.

Cheney: I don’t know, everyone is mad at me and won’t sit with me at the lunch table. Maybe if you could get me an ice cream social with the President I would consider it.

Pelosi: Sorry, the ice cream meetings are reserved for true blue democrats, how about a PRIME speaking slot at the opening of the committee hearing?

Cheney: SOLD!!!!

I have watched Cheney make her argument for why this was one of the worst things ever to happen in American history for the past 5 months. What her argument lacks is actually an understanding of American history.

She full-well knows that Trump is going after her in the primaries for that seat and her goose is cooked. So why not get as much of that sweet affection from CNN and MSNBC, being it won’t last long and will never come again?

You can dislike Liz Cheney and her stances all you want but she is well-versed in how the political realm operates. She does not make decisions lightly and she has seen the writing on the wall and has decided to ride this ship down to the end of her elected career.

Liz Cheney just announced she is not running for re-election without actually saying it — but we know.

Hopefully, she will get to have ice cream with Joe before his career comes to an end also.
