Democratic and Republican negotiators have reached “an agreement in principle” on a spending bill that would avert a government shutdown.

“We reached an agreement in principle between us on all the homeland security and the other six bills,” said Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.).

All the details have not been released but sources say the deal calls for 1.375 billion dollars for border barriers and Democrats have dropped calls for a new cap on detention beds.

This is a big turn from yesterday and earlier today where it sounded talks had stalled. The news leaking out of the negotiations was so bad that air traffic controllers started to threaten walkouts before this shutdown occurred.

President Trump is about to speak in El Paso, Texas at a “Build The Wall” rally will be looked too in this speech to see if he gives the thumbs up or thumbs down for approval.

More on this as it unfolds.
