This is going to get really nasty.
After the press conference debacle in Helsinki on Monday, Democrats want the notes from President Trump’s translator. The you-know-what is gonna hit the fan.

Democrats are demanding President Donald Trump’s translator from his private, one-on-one meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin testify before Congress about what was said behind closed doors.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat from New Hampshire who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, tweeted Monday that she was calling for a hearing with Marina Gross, a State Department translator.
‘I’m calling for a hearing with the U.S. interpreter who was present during President Trump’s meeting with Putin to uncover what they discussed privately. This interpreter can help determine what @POTUS shared/promised Putin on our behalf,’ the senator wrote.
The interpreter who was present with Trump for the meeting with Putin is Marina Gross who is a State Dept employee and a veteran of the department.
This raises some serious questions about the separation of the Executive branch and Congress. The President is always allowed to negotiate deals and the Congress can approve or deny those negotiated deals. Now the Democrats are demanding the transcripts from a private meeting with another head of state means one thing.
The Democrats think President Trump committed treason behind closed doors and they want proof of it.
There really is no question that the President screwed up at that press conference. That is the reason he walked it back in an apology yesterday at the White House.
Yet the Dems now taking this to a treasonous act scenario and demanding that an interpreter testify before a congressional committee might be taking it too far. I can’t recall any demand like this ever made of the executive in this regard.
A battle is brewing between the Article I and Article II branches of the United State government.
Buckle up and get ready to rumble.
