After hearing the elitist way Janeane Garofalo described her view on the Tea Parties on Olbermann’s show, I got curious to how someone who felt so passionate about their political beliefs would have responded during the Bush Administration’s tenure. Well, I found gold.
In August of 2003, Garofalo was on Countdown defending her Hollywood friends from the negative press they were getting for having a dissenting view of the current administration. I’ve put together this video which shows the difference between her view on dissenting both then and now, when the shoe is on the other foot. “24″ hasn’t been worth watching since the season before that one. I gave up on it a long time ago.

Did you ever watch “E-Ring”? That and “The Grid” were inspired by 9/11 America and were good, particularly “E-Ring.” Neither lasted long, probably yanked by the networks due to non-P.C. content. They also didn’t market the 2 shows well (due to not believing in them). We hunger for good drama like those. “The Unit” and “N.C.I.S.” are great but we need more.
I’m just astonished the gang making “24″ hired Garofalo. Was it a sop to the Left? Surely they knew the core audience can’t stand her. Rush can praise this season as much as he wants but I ain’t buyin’ what he’s selling on this one.
