Our biggest long-term problem is the party’s race relations. For decades now Republicans (and even conservatives in general) have very successfully been labeled as racists and bigots. Yes, this is very largely because our opponents have driven this message to the public, but ultimately it is our fault for not working hard enough to selling ourselves and our accomplishments in this area.

First, read the quotes of what John McCain said and compare to the title of this article. Note that nowhere in the quotes does John McCain say that Sarah Palin is or could be the next Reagan or Clinton. McCain is saying is that we have had Presidents who came from being state Governors and were underestimated by the media at the time because they were state Governors.
Second, note the pictures. Reagan and Clinton happy, and the obviously calculated nasty-looking Palin.

Since Obama and Co. are making a big fuss trying to depict McCain and Palin as weak on domestic issues, it would be nice to take this head-on in a way to get as much media attention and in front of as many eyeballs as possible… A full week of issues, with each day dedicated to a topic.
