Is it just me?
I don’t understand how things work anymore. Two NFL players convicted, one of animal cruelty, the other of shooting himself, and they go to prison. Ok, fine. What about the hundreds of murderers, rapists, molesters, theives and who knows what else that keep bouncing off the system? We seem to have fallen victim to a rash of double standards in this country. I still believe we live in the greatest country in the world (no offense, that’s how I feel). But what is happening to us?
Our president is mired in controversy from racism to radicalism to homosexuality to nationality. I mean, for real? I didn’t vote for the man, but honestly thought a fresh face with fresh ideals might be stepping in to take the reigns. Boy, was I wrong!!
They write a bill to reform healthcare, and don’t include tort reform. they write a bill to limit or deny the rights of gun owners. They release the GB detainees that are there for combat related occurances against American GI’s or Nato GI’s, oh and now the detainees want to sue the US Government. BIG SURPRISE!
The CIA is under investigation for the methods they use to gather information from those trying to kill Americans.
Here’s an idea, why don’t we just line up all the red blooded American patriots that are left, strip them naked, cover them in molasses, stick them in fireants up to the knee, tie their hands and tell them to defend themselves by using pencil we put between their teeth.
It use to be that Americans were proud, thoughtful, caring, inventive, innovative, moralistic people. ALL RACES!! Now, we’re sheeple. you know, half sheep, half people. It’s enough to make me want to defect, but oh yeah, there’s no where to defect to. Most of them are where we’re headed.

There seem to be so maaannnyyy things wrong these days from a conservative stand point it’s really hard to know where to begin.
I am a Christian conservative, father and husband, deacon in the church, engineer, entrepreneur and in general a thinker.
I would like to see people to think for themselves. But at the same time, we as conservatives have developed a bad habit of letting the little things distract us from our group goals. It’s like the carpeting in church; if you’re in church for the right reason, what difference does it make if you don’t like the color of the carpet?
How do we get our collective governmental voice to stop worrying about the color of the carpet? It doesn’t seem that any of them really stand up for my values any more.

ColdWarrior (Diary) Friday, August 28th at 1:13PM EST (link)Funny how we get older, time becomes more precious. I wish I had about 8 more hours in my day. None of us can do all we want to do. So I ask myself this question: Knowing that the Maricopa County GOP currently is at one-third strength in terms of vacant precinct committeeman offices, and conservatives have the slimmest of slim voting majority in the county and state-wide, what is the MOST important thing I can devote about two hours a month to? That’s a no-brainer for me — it’s being a PC so I can help elect conservative leadership in the Party and help make sure the best conservative candidate has the best possible chance of winning the primary election in all the county, state and congressional elections.
And then I spend the bulk of my time otherwise, to the extent I can, trying to convince other conservatives of the need to become a PC.
Thanks again for becoming a PC. You are entering a whole new world.
