I'm a former military wife and blue star mom, as well. My best Thanksgivings were those during that time because it usually meant having a house full of great men of character, from the youngest to the oldest and some were very young, barely out of basic.

I miss those times of wall to wall soldiers on the holidays. They didn't care that it was sleeping on the floor as long as they were out of the barracks. and I always had at least 7 pairs of hands to help me do dishes and clean up afterwards.

Remember our soldiers today at home or abroad.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I want Redstate to know you guys give me such enjoyment and an outlet of my views 365 days a year and for that I am thankful for each and every one of you.

To my fellow Fredheads I am thankful for your unwavering support during the primaries and the closeness for which we have enjoyed since as similiar thinkers.

To the old stalwarts who have been here since the beginning and have much to offer those "babies" of us in the group I am thankful for the advice and direction in writing that you give.

To the liberals who have haunted here forever I will never understand your choices but I am thankful for the opportunity to debate you.

and I am most grateful by those who fall somewhere into the 3 legs of the stool of conservatism or who are all in on all three and fight on with me in our political battles with the idiots we call politicians.....(that's right even on Thanksgiving I give those tools no quarter :-) )

Eat, Drink and be Merry my fellow travelers!
