I’ve been reading various op-ed’s today and it has become clear, LIBERALS DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE ENEMY. They are just exasperated, they cannot understand why so many people spontaneously have banded together (all the reasons they have given are just phony) and protested. Their world has been turned upside down; liberals protest, conservatives vote, has been their belief since the 60′s.
They’ve claimed it’s Limbaugh, then Dick Armey’s FredomWorks, then some guy no one has ever heard of named McGuffie and now “Big Insurance”. What they don’t realize or even want to imagine is what binds the protestors is that they do not trust the GOVERNMENT. The protestors know they can turn off Limbaugh, ignore Dick Armey, never even figure out who McGuffie is, and always change their insurance company.
What the protestors fear is the government; they cannot turn it off, ignore it or negotiate with it. They realize that if the government gets control over their health care, then they have no control. The government is the ENEMY!

Or the military.
Or free market economics.
Or that money doesn’t grow on trees.
Or the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Or what “endowed by our Creator” means.
They just know that they’re so much smarter than everyone else, and if only they were in charge . . . .
Thank you.

Whitesands (Diary) Monday, August 10th at 6:56AM EST (link)It is that simple. All the talking heads trying to spin it as something strange or racist. It is America working. We also have a responsibility being Americans and that is to follow the rule of law. I recently posted the Left has put their cause back 100 years over this. There will be a big turn over in 2010.
Samuel Seabury 1774 ” Government was intended for the security of those who live under it- to protect the weak against the strong- the good against the bad- to preserve order and decency among men, preventing everyone from injuring his neighbor. Every person, then, owes obedience to the laws of the government under which he lives, and is obliged on honor and duty to support them. Because if one has a right to disregard the laws of the society to which he belongs, all have the same right ; and then government is at an end.”
