Why is it every time Obama says anything about private business he has to make a disparaging remark about profits? Yesterday in his news conference he was asked about the private vs. public plans and the only good reason he good give for the public plan was that there would be no PROFIT in the public plan. He has repeatedly talked about redistributionist policies either directly or indirectly since his “Joe the Plumber” moment by using words like “fair” to describe his overly progressive tax policy, or “greedy” when talking about those pesky Chrysler bondholders.
My belief is that he has exactly the same thought process as Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers, but only diguises it better. Collectively they feel that the American free enterprise system is unfair and that those “greedy” business people take advantage of the poor, uneducated; not that it is the freest system in the world allowing those same perceived disadvantaged people the ability to accomplish and become anything they want.

Heh, where are my profits dude?
izoneguy (Diary) Wednesday, June 24th at 12:48PM EST (link)Profit? Heh, I show just enough profit in my business so the government does not classify me as a hobby. If I did not have to pay taxes on everything I buy and do then I probably could show a profit that the state would take anyway. Obama is creating a desert where once there was a lush tropical oasis. Once the water is gone many will die of thirst. Obama will come around with a few bottles of water for his friends and wait for the rest to die.
The point cannot be made often enough: Modern liberalism, as embodied in the Obama presidency, is the defender of the status quo. And the status quo is a road to economic ruin. Political forces cannot redistribute the wealth that the economic system does not produce.
When there are no profits to tax
texas214 (Diary) Wednesday, June 24th at 3:36PM EST (link)where will he and his allies be? Thats why they want the VAT and Cap and Trade, you don’t have to make a profit to pay those.
Correct, and this will be the blunder of blunders
izoneguy (Diary) Wednesday, June 24th at 4:04PM EST (link)for the left.
In a way it is kind of interesting. The Republicans could all vote NO and this crap would still pass. Should we try and save some of the left by showing them the error of their ways? Or should we let them all slide down the hell hole together? My first inclination is too say – go ahead make my day and let them pass these taxes that everyone will pay. Once we here stories of poor people freezing to death in the winter or dying of heat stoke in the summer because they can’t pay their cap & trade tax for power then….but the left will pass more bills and higher taxes on the rich to pay for the poor folk. Business can only pass on so much of the cost to the consumer. The consumers will have even less money to spend and the Marxist cycle starts putting the squeeze on everyone (except the unions and politicians). The VAT will turn a hard recession into a full blown depression in 6 months…
The upcoming winter does not look to be kind to the northern states who rely on those coal fired plants. The back of Obama’s camel was really weighed down with his Cairo speech….
Any one of his upcoming bills will break the camels back…
Which one will it be?

Remember they're just politicians.....
texas214 (Diary) Wednesday, June 24th at 5:22PM EST (link)and everyone of them want to get re-elected. Democratic members of Congress from conservative districts are going to have a hard time voting for all of this crap and keep a job (there are more conservative districts than liberal), the “stimulus” is already an anchor around their neek. Another screw-up and they’ll be done, my guess is that they can read the polls and sentiment from their districts and while they may give lip service to Obama, Pelosi, and Reid many will vote against these policies. Hopefully just enough to kill the bills.
Claiming to have been against these will probably not be enough to over come the (D) beside their names when the taxes start rolling in.
They'll get the point
