Gloria Steinem: "Masculine Realm" is Killing Boys

Proving yet again she is a “feminist” whose shelf life has long since passed, Gloria Steinem recently gave an interview to Refinery29 in which she declared, among other things, that the “masculine realm” is killing boys, men can only become “real people” by working inside the home, and, wait for it, abortion is the solution to climate change.

Basically, she regurgitated a big, steaming pile of liberal word vomit.

First, let’s cover the patriarchy. Did you know the “masculine realm” – whatever that nonsensical phrase might mean – is killing boys? No, it’s not abortion killing boys (and girls), it’s the patriarchy. Natch. This is what Steinem spewed in response to a question from the interviewer about how to introduce her baby son to the world of women’s rights:

“Tell them the masculine realm is killing them. It’s [in their] self-interest. Men would live quite a few years longer without the masculine realm. And not only that, but they’re deprived of their kids — they don’t get to see their children, or they aren’t raised to raise children, which is how they get deprived of their humanity. Women usually become whole people by being active outside the home. Men become whole people by being active inside the home.”

Got that, gents? Your traditional role as provider is all for naught. What you really need to do become “whole” is to take over all the traditional female roles inside the home. Bring home the bacon, dudes, fry it up, then change a freakin’ diaper.

Steinem, of course, hasn’t the slightest clue how to make a man happy or whole. No kids and one failed marriage is proof of that.

The interviewer then puts forth the idea that climate change is a feminist issue. Steinem wholeheartedly agrees and says abortion will stop climate change.

Listen, what causes climate deprivation is population. If we had not been systematically forcing women to have children they don’t want or can’t care for over the 500 years of patriarchy, we wouldn’t have the climate problems that we have. That’s the fundamental cause of climate change. Even if the Vatican doesn’t tell us that. In addition to that, because women are the major agricultural workers in the world, and also the carriers of water and the feeders of families and so on, it’s a disproportionate burden.”

Shorter Steinem: Men forced women to have babies, causing the climate to change. Therefore, abortion.

Alternate shorter Steinem: Women have to feed and water their kids. Therefore, abortion.

And then there’s the issue of equality. Apparently, all it takes is for men to find strength in relationships and forget about biology.

“We’ve been knitting their socks and raising their children; we can’t also make their revolution for them. They have to do it themselves. But I think we understand that it’s possible when it’s organic. And it’s also true that more and more men are finding strength in relationships. I think we should reach out, because it’s perfectly clear that it’s not about biology — it’s about consciousness. And there are many men who are very strong feminists and humanitarians.”

“Strong” and “feminist men” do not go together. At all. Strong men embrace their biology and their God-given life roles. And here’s a secret Gloria Steinem won’t tell “feminist men”: women laugh at them and will only date/marry them so they have someone to push around.

This kind of tired ideology, as espoused by Steinem, is sadly lapped up by women who feel unfulfilled and need someone, other than themselves, to blame. And it is sad because Steinem is leading them down a one-way street that dead ends in an endless misery loop.

One might say the world needs Gloria Steinem like a fish needs a bicycle.
