How Much Did Newt’s Ex Get?

http://www.poynter.org/latest-news/mediawire/140596/abc-ends-checkbook-journalism-will-no-longer-pay-for-interviews/

If you do not believe that people who go on ABC news are being paid, think again.

Think about as to why people like Newt’s ex get in front of the cameras.

No matter how much it was...

it can’t take away the pain. It seemed to me that Newt’s nose got a little longer last night when he denied he asked for an open marriage.

Newt’s daughters denied Marianne’s assertion but they were not HER children and were not privy to their private conversations.

I watched the interview. Marianne seemed bitter but believable. To be abandoned and unloved especially when physically fragile takes a heavy toll on a person. People don’t really ever get over that…especially if they loved the other person.

When you're the Second Wife that was the Other Woman for the First Wife

.. you lose all rights to complain about your husband’s infidelity, since you’re the one that started it. She knew what she was in for when she seduced Newt away from his first wife, and her complaints now just sound like sour grapes to me.

Newt still has to deal with his own past actions and the consequences for them, and this in no way makes his actions OK, but for wife #2 to complain about wife #3 when she did the same to wife #1 stinks of hypocrisy.

Let’s get down to brass tacks here. How much for the ape?

Finrod, the law of the harvest applies equally...

to both Newt and Marianne. The Bible says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galations 6:7

I have a book called “The Laws of the Harvest”. The author states that the laws of sowing and reaping are equally valid for all people, whether we are married or single, male or female, young or old, rich or poor, or any other distinction we might make. In fact, he writes, these laws operate whether we know about them or are totally ignorant of them. While earth remains, no man will mock God by changing for even one time these laws of the harvest,
The author lists seven:

LAW #1 WE REAP ONLY WHAT HAS BEEN SOWN.

LAW#2 WE REAP IN THE SAME KIND AS WE SOW.

LAW#3 WE REAP IN A DIFFERENT SEASON THAN WHEN WE SOW.

LAW#4 WE REAP MORE THAN WE SOW.

LAW#5 WE REAP IN PROPORTION AS WE SOW.

LAW#6 WE REAP THE FULL HARVEST OF THE GOOD ONLY IF WE PERSEVERE; THE EVIL COMES TO HARVEST ON ITS OWN.

LAW#7 WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT LAST YEAR’S HARVEST, BUT WE CAN ABOUT THIS YEAR’S

Marianne did reap what she sowed. I don’t feel any sympathy for Newt as he is reaping what he sown too.

I don’t want to know any more about it. The whole situation is sad.

Newt’s life pattern does inspire trust.

Marianne left Newt and they were separated ...

… for six years.

If that didnt come through in the interview, then rethink the ‘credibility’ angle.

Caveat: I dont know what happened between them.

Freedoms Truth, I did not know that...

…but I think the Laws of the Harvest are true and they are BOTH reaping what they have sown!!

What a mess!

Reaping what he sowed DOES NOT....

Preclude him from serving the country as the POTUS! It is even conceivable that the country is so screwed up that the job is anything but a dream job!

God delights in using the dung of this world to confound those who are wise in their own eyes…..

By all estimates, Newt’s so called baggage qualifies him as the dung of the earth. In the realm of politics, Newt’s exploits in this cycle can arguably be seen as miraculous and I for one am cautiously optimistic how this diamond in the rough might yet turn out!

Cher is an example

tedpomeroy (Diary) Friday, January 20th at 2:56PM EST (link)

Cher hated the politics of her ex, Sonny Bono who is the late Congressman from California. Cher never said a bad word about him.

There are just a few things lower than bad mouthing an ex spouse. You were married to the person. If you are divorced, move on and clam up.

The truth is that mainstream media just like Entertainment Tonight and others find ways to pay people to make statements about others.

tedpomeroy, I agree ...

the press likes this stuff. Airing resentment is certainly not appealing.

I just refer back to the “Laws of the Harvest”.

If Newt had in humility asked for forgiveness with a sincerity that was real I doubt that Marianne would have done the interview…but who knows?
