Judicial Temperment

On Mark Levin this evening there was a brilliant call from an attorney.

The American Bar Association guidelines for judges calls for them in public statements to maintain an air of impartiality.  The attorney who called said that the nominee for Associate Justice to the US Supreme Court through her statement “able to judge better than a bunch of white guys” has disqualified herself.

Can any attorney’s out there elaborate on this?

I am not a lawyer

But from the gist of what he said, is that the ethics standards from the ABA state that a judges non-judicial activities could not cause any type of reasonable doubt that the judge can judge fairly, and since her Latina Woman statement is out there, that causes resonable doubt that she would be able to judge fairly.

I personally would like to do the Andrew Wilkow suggestion and start calling dem senators and thanking them for backing such a pro-life judge. (I know that is probably a lie, but as they say when the lie is better than the truth, print the lie.)
