Lindsey Graham strikes again. Can we get rid of this fool?

Just like clockwork, it wouldn’t be the political season without stupid comments by Lindsey Graham(nesty) of South Carolina. Less than a week away from what could turn out to be a historic landslide for the GOP, Graham is already talking about ‘compromise’ and ‘working to get things done.’

Why do we tolerate this fool?

The worst part is not so much Graham’s usual habit of wanting to chuck principles in the name of getting along, but the fact that he chooses to frame his party in the words of Democrats.

“My belief is that, if we get back power in the House, and get close in the Senate, that we ought to really clamp down on spending and reform the government,” Graham said on WVOC radio in South Carolina. “But we ought to not put ourself in a position of being the ‘party of no’ to hard problems. But we ought to sit down with the president and work on Social Security, come up with an energy policy without cap-and-trade.

See it? That part about the ‘party of no’ is what makes me chew my lower lip. This guy is either a fundamental political coward, a wanna-be Democrat or a little of both.  What is certain is that no place should be set at the table for Lindsey Graham by conservatives. I’m sick and tired of this wussy and his betrayals. He is the second worst GOP senator after John McCain, the man who (not surprisingly) is his mentor.

Memo to Senator Graham: You’re on our side, idiot! At least you claim you are on our side. How about you stop using the language of our ideological enemies and buy some marbles for once?

Now run along and become a Democrat since you can’t stop trashing your own party. I would rather the GOP be in the minority without you than in the majority with you.

You make me sick you little twerp!

New media meme this election cycle is the word ‘gaffe’

I’ve noticed over the course of the past year that anytime polls tighten the media minions reporting or commenting on them will blame it on ‘gaffes’ by the Republican. At first I just saw this word spattered in a few stories varying over a few months during the primaries but with the election less than a week away, I’m seeing it in almost every election news story.

Now granted, we all know that the mainstream media is nothing but an echo chamber where one talking head or AP writer uses a word and then the other sheep pick it up and start bleating it, however there is an over-abundance of this word used in connection with stories about Republican candidates only.

If a race tightens between a Republican who has a lead in a race, then the news articles say it is because of ‘gaffes’ made by the favored candidate. If a Republican who is behind closes the gap on a leading Democrat there is never a remark or comment about ‘gaffes’ the Democrat made.

See the pattern here?

This is one of the reasons I hate the media but laugh at them at the same time. Do they really think people are this gullible and don’t see what they are doing? In the mind of your mainstream reporter, Republicans are stupid anyway so attaching a cute little word like ‘gaffe’ to a story about a race tightening where a Republican leads is fair. Let a Democrat in the lead have his/her race tighten and there is no mention of any ‘gaffe’ on their part.

The latest entertaining overuse of this silly word is from Republican Ken Buck’s race against Democrat Michael Bennett in Colorado. Buck was asked in a debate about homosexuality and said that it ” was a choice ” and apparently this true comment sent the mainstream sheep over the edge. Now they want to say this ‘gaffe’ is the reason the race has tightened when everyone knew all along this race would be tight. So please media, give us all a break. You think you’re clever, but everyone who has a brain sees what you are doing.

By the way, we are going to win in Colorado and Ken Buck will be a great senator who will restore credibility and responsibility in our federal government. As for the mainstream media, they can go back to their holes after this election and think of more plays on basic words to try and minimize their opponents since they can’t seem to win in the arena of ideas.

It is crunch time folks, and the media is taking their last ‘gaffe’ to fool the voters.  They aren’t fooled.

Meghan McCain’s book trashed

I love it. I absolutely love it.

Blond-headed twit Meghan McCain got a hold of some crayons and wrote a book about her experience during the 2008 presidential election.

As typical of a McCain, the book is told entirely from a self-absorbed viewpoint and is apparently full of grammatical errors that would cause a 7th grader to flunk English class.

The review by Leon Wolf can be read in full through a link by Joseph Lawler in The American Spectator. You’ve got to see it for yourselves as it is truly entertaining. The address is below.

The surreal and insulated world of little Meghan McCain

As the old saying goes, the truth hurts. Having posted this latest entry in my diary, I would challenge Meghan McCain to please come to RedState and defend your father's indefensible history, especially of the last 10 years where he behaved like the contemptuous douchebag we've all come to despise and mistrust. I'm just betting you won't because you can't defend him, but we will see.

Lindsey Graham thinks you are a fool

Apparently Senator Lindsey Graham(nesty) of SC has come out in favor of ending birthright citizenship for the babies of illegal aliens(aka-human scum, criminals) who sneak into our nation to give birth.

He made these shocking (and most likely untrue) comments on Greta Van Sustersen’s FOX NEWS show and when I heard what he said, I almost threw something at my television.

Please, please tell me no one here believes this lying bastard.

Here he is lamenting what happened with the injunction of Arizona’s tough (and completely legal) law, yet he will cast a vote in support of Elaine Kagan for the Supreme Court. So if he is so upset about Judge Bolton’s ruling, why is he going to vote AYE in favor of yet another illegals-loving judge?

You are full of crap, Senator. You are only saying this as a fig leaf to conservatives in your state because of your betrayal on the Kagan nomination and, (more importantly) they know, just like we know, that you are totally lying. You are still working with Senator Schummer to give the Democrats a whole new generation of non-citizen voters who ought to be marched out of our nation by the point of a gun.

Senator Graham, you are a sack of human excrement. If anyone believes your sudden interest in ending birthright citizenship then I’ve got some oceanfront land in Kansas to sell them.

This man makes me sick!

I’m hearing crickets when it comes to Arizona

Moderators and regular posters alike keep spinning about how we need to elect more conservatives and about how the RINOS keep selling us out, but when it comes to the Arizona senate race all I hear is crickets here at Red State.
Why is that so?

Say what you want about J.D. Hayworth. Try to make hay about him doing infomercials for government grant money when he was a regular citizen and former congressman, not a serving member. Also be sure to ramble on about his support for spending bills from those past days and then, at the end of it all, please tell me how this makes him a less desirable candidate than the one person who has done more to hurt both the GOP and the conservative movement, Senator McCain.

I’m waiting and I’m thoroughly confused.

With all due respect to those here at RS – people I admire and mostly agree with – how can you ask me to support the Angles, Bucks, Devores, Lees, Stutzmans and Rubios of this all important election cycle and yet say little or (worse yet) NOTHING about what still should be and still could be the most crucial race of them all, the GOP primary in Arizona.

I’m confused and I’m numb.

Senator McCain is an enemy of the conservative movement. He is a narcissistic, mentally unbalanced, self-promoting, arrogant, inside-the-beltway good ole boy who has sold us out before and will do again at the most crucial moments.

And the worst part? He is a bold faced liar.
Yet I hear no groundswell here on RS for his ouster. I hear people who I think are on our side laugh and just kind of hang their heads sideways in an ‘awe shucks’ expression and then say something irrelevant like ” That’s just John McCain.”

Dear God, have some of you forgotten what this man has done and what he attempted to do?

I want to know why there isn’t more of a push on this site to GET MCCAIN OUT OF OFFICE. Please, someone tell me? I read inspiring threads imploring me and others to give to Mike Lee and Ken Buck, but when it comes to Arizona, it’s like listening to crickets. I’ve seen little (if any) threads encouraging people to donate to Hayworth.

Has some backroom deal already been made with the Judas, McCain? He will take his 30 pieces of silver and give it to your enemies, all the while laughing at you when he yet again betrays you. Why aren’t people like Jim Demint and Jeff Sessions and the few I still respect in the GOP not out there throwing their support behind Hayworth? Why aren’t more commentators and conservative bloggers doing so? Is this more of the stupid ‘he’s paid his dues’ kind of thinking that has kept what should be a raucous chorus on our side completely silent?

If those who claim to be on our side don’t do everything they can to unseat McCain and leave Hayworth stranded in the wilderness with no true conservative support, then I say to you that I will be ashamed to call myself a conservative from this day forward.

If we fight, if we show the kind of enthusiasm for JD Hayworth that we’ve shown for Sharon Angel, for Marco Rubio, for Mike Lee and for Ken Buck, then at the end of the day we will make a difference even if we lose that race. Not trying simply because McCain brought in top billed people, laughingly tried to make himself look tough on illegal immigration (which he is not) and has the full weight of the Cornyn-Jesmer machine behind him does not mean that fighting for Hayworth isn’t worth it.

Getting rid of McCain’s time in the U.S. Senate is definitely worth the fight. Can we please see some push for Hayworth? Is that too much to ask?

The alternative is 6 more years of a complete jerk doing everything he can to collude with those who hate us. And if you think McCain is done with Amnesty (which he is calling ‘regularization’ now), keep dreaming. If you don’t think he would support Cap And Trade, keep dreaming. If you don’t think he would go along just to get along with everyone on the other side then you are a fool and I have some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you.

So can we please so some support on RS for the better candidate in the race whether you like him or not?

Please Red State, support J.D. Hayworth!

Will the GOP impeach Obama over border security?

I’ve not heard a word but if you consider both the President’s stated reason to AZ Senator Kyl for not securing the border along with the escalating crime, thuggery and deaths on U.S. soil, you have a good argument that Obama has ignored his oath of office to defend our nation against enemies and to uphold our laws.
So were is the GOP?

I guess it is too much to hope that the gutless, marble-less, spineless Republican leadership out of Washington will do anything, but it might serve as a stark reminder to them about their role as representatives if we the people start inundating their phone lines, email accounts and mailboxes with inquiries asking why they haven’t taken action.

Be under no illusion – what is happening along the Arizona border with Mexico is outrageous and the deliberate ignoring of the situation by the White House is a crime.

They know it, why do you think they reacted the way they did to Senator Kyl’s revelation?

So GOP, you have all those lawyers among you. Surely there is one with the grapes to do their legal duty, just one?

Impeach the President and remove him. Even if the Democrats don’t vote with you, the law is still on your side. Let them run on that when they go out for re-election. Or you can just sit it out till November and wait while the violence gets worse and worse in Arizona and the feds do nothing.

Are you mice or are you men? Make your minds up soon.

Get some brains and marbles, Michael Steele!

Dear God.

Another GOP leader trying to cozy up to the press by accepting their premise and argument about a GOP candidate.

Is Michael Steele this stupid or does he just love being on TV and forgets that he is a Republican who needs to defend Republicans? Why are so many ‘leaders’ on our side so gullible and blatantly stupid that they allow themselves to be led by a leading question asked by a liberal journalists to put down their own primary winner?

I’m talking about Rand Paul and it is obvious from Michael Steele’s statements in his joint appearance with Tim Kaine that he doesn’t know when he is being baited.
Please GOP, quit being so stupid. Defend your party and your candidates. Quit taking this apologetic approach as if every charge from the other side is meaningful and deserves a reply. They seem to have no problem defending their president who stomps on the U.S. Constitution, lies all the time and is weakening this country economically and militarily.

Get some brains, Mr. Steele and while you are at it please grow a pair!!!

What a bunch of pansies!

Irony – Rob Jesmer and NRSC creating 3rd party candidates

We shouldn’t vote for 3rd party candidates if we hope to regain control. I get it. It would be a vote to register dissatisfaction but would accomplish little else except keep Democrats in power.

Given that argument, does anyone else find it ironic that Senator Cornyn and Rob Jesmer’s terrible judgment is spawning 3rd party candidacies that could hurt the GOP in November?

First their hand-picked dandy Charlie Crist goes rouge when he realizes he will loose the FL primary to Rubio and decides to run as an Independent. Now I read that Senator Bob Bennett, fresh off his loss in the UT primary might decide to run as a write-in candidate.

And Mr. Bennett represents the GOP beltway establishment that seems to think that being in power is somehow their birthright.

So the party that doesn’t want conservatives to vote 3rd party is creating 3rd party candidates. Good job, NRSC.

Idiots!

DeMint versus Cornyn

I just had to share this article from newsmax.com because it illustrates perfectly the gulf that exists between true Conservatives and elite, beltway Republicans.

http://www.newsmax.com/Politics/US-Conservative-Kingmaker/2010/05/11/id/358637

When you read this article make sure you notice the disconnect of Senator John Cornyn with the majority of people who traditionally vote Republican. One sentence in particular stands out.

“My goal is simply to build our numbers so we can provide checks and balances to single-party power here in Washington,” Cornyn said. “I think he has a different goal, which is to try to move the Republican conference in a more conservative direction. If that were possible and we were able to win elections all around the country I would be all for it, but I think as a pragmatic matter we’ve got to nominate Republicans who can get elected in their states.”

You just don’t get it, do you Senator Cornyn? We can win running with REAL CONSERVATIVES instead of the faux ones you offer up who show their true colors – Arlen Specter, Charlie Crist, John McCain, Lindsey Graham – and who betray Conservatives time and again so they can claim to be bipartisan to our enemies in the press.

Thank God for Senator DeMint.

Now if you all excuse me, I’m going to donate some money to Ran Paul and Chuck Devore.
