Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: The Gift that Keeps on Giving, Part 1

Recently annointed head of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, is a godsend to the Republican Party more so than to her party.  The reason is clear: even more so than screamo wannabe Howard Dean, she represents the ludicrous and hypocrisy of the uber-liberal wing of the Democratic Party.  As head of the DNC, she now speaks as the voice of the Democratic Party and their aspirations for and vision of America.  It is a good thing that this Nancy Pelosi clone is in this position because she epitomizes everything that is wrong with that party.  She, as their voice, proves that their vision and their aspirations are, in fact, at odds with the vast majority of Americans.  Naturally, she and they will have their supporters among the liberal elites- those in academia, union leaders, the lamestream media, and the policy experts in Hollywood (not to mention the acolytes of Al Bore- a/k/a Manbearpig).

Her most recent comments characterizing the GOP as “anti-women” and waging a war on women are indicative of the fact that we DO need health care reform if for no other reason than to cure her affliction: foot in mouth disease.  The main thing that got her goat this time around was the “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.”  The law in question, for those unaware, would simply codify the Hyde Amendment which has been passed as an appropriations rider since 1976.  Granted, there was some controversy within the bill that had even ardent pro-life people a little leery, namely the definition of “rape.”  By inserting the word “forcible” as a qualifier to the rape exception, many of those on the Left accused the bill’s author, Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) of redefining rape and that the word “forcible” would remove many definitions of rape such as date rape or unwanted sex among the mentally unstable.  Wasserman-Schultz, however, went way off the grid in her reaction by calling the Act itself a “violent act against women in and of itself.”  According to this line of thinking, this particular word in this particular Act is akin to rape itself.  So, it would appear that the GOP is legislatively raping women in the mind of the Representative from Florida.

As the Weekly Standardrecently pointed out, it would not appear that only Republicans are at war with women.  In fact, sixteen Democrats voted in favor of the law and the legislation was co-written by Rep. Daniel Lipinski (D-IL).  The head of the DNC defended the “war on women” exemption conferred upon the Democrats who broke ranks (they, by virtue of the “D” after their name, cannot be “anti-woman”) by stating that they did not vote to defund Planned Parenthood.  Of course, in the mind of liberals, the Democratic Party and Wasserman-Schultz in particular, disagreeing with Planned Parenthood, NARAL, or NOW must necessarily classify you as “anti-woman.”  Regardless,  ten Democrats DID vote to defund Planned Prenthood: Dan Boren (OK), Jerry Costello (IL), Joe Donnelly (IN), Dan Lipinski (IL), Mike McIntyre (NC), Collin Peterson (MN), Nick Rahall (WV), Silverstre Reyes (TX), Mike Ross (AR), and Heath Schuler (NC).  She then told The Weekly Standard that she was fairly certain that ten Democrats did not, despite recorded votes in the Congressional Record, vote to defund Planned Parenthood because she “whipped the vote.”  If true, then she was either hoodwinked by the ten Democrats or she is a bad whip.  In either case, she does not come out smelling particularly good.  It also has to be noted, since she brought up the subject of the totality of their votes, that the ten Congressmen who voted to defund Planned Parenthood averaged an 87.1 rating from the National Right to Life Committee- clearly making them pro-life.  In fact, six of them received a 100% rating from NRLC.

The comments were met with a stern rebuke from female Republicans in Congress.  What upsets DWS is that there are women who do not agree with her liberal feminist agenda.  While she is waging a war better set in the days of public bra burnings in the 1970s, Republican women are, as they stated in their letter, fighting for women entering the stagnant job market, of being the victims of burdensome taxes and regulations, and for women and everyone suffering under crushing Democratic-induced debt and deficits.  DWS is fighting a perceived problem that most Americans place somewhere on the fringes of their list of priorities.

If nothing else, the fights that DWS chooses to pick and then fight indicate the Democratic strategy going forth into the 2012 elections- that of class warfare and identity politics.  Proposals in opposition to the liberal agenda of Obama and the Democratic Party will be characterized as attacks on the old, on union workers, for businesses at the expense of the middle class, as attacks on blacks and on Latinos, and on women.  While the vast majority of Americans care about the health of the economy, the deficit and public debt, rising prices of gasoline and food, and jobs, Wasserman Schultz is arguing the social issues and ignoring facts along the way.  DSW was chosen to head the DNC because she is the attack pit bull (literally) that allows Obama to “rise above the fray” while cackling behind our backs as his minions blindly report to the polls like the political zombies that they are.  One thing in our favor and an often overlooked fact: Debbie Wasserman Schultz was the Vice Chair of the DNC under Tim Kaine in 2010 and they both presided over the loss of the House.  In effect, Obama elevated a loser to be Chairman of the DNC.  Hopefully, she counts electoral votes in 2012 as well as she counted Democratic votes to defund Planned Parenthood.

Politics and Women

Thanks to Stephen Bannon the author and director of Fire from the Heartland women will be recognized for their patriotism. The film Fire from the Heartland is about the awaking of conservative women and their influence on today’s politics. From Abigail Adams to the current conservative women they have been actively engaged in politics.Women have long been involved in politics, in the days of ole’ they whispered their advice in their husbands ear as pillow talk. In 1920 women came out of the bedroom and drawing room, to march in the streets for the right to vote. We have been giving them hell ever since. Women are making a difference Arizona, 1999 the top five spots were held by women.Jeff Groscost then Speaker of the house was told he was the most powerful man in Arizona..He was pretty proud of himself, until he realized he was the only one. Brenda Burns was President of the Senate..

Attorney General–Janet Napolitano

Superintendent of Public Instruction–Lisa Graham Keegan

State Treasurer–Carol Springer

The fabulous five as they referred to was sworn in by first woman on the U.S. Supreme Court–Sandra Day O’Connor..

Across the nation more women are getting involved participating in Tea Parties, protest and throwing their hat in the ring as candidates. Go Ladies…

Let’s hear it for the girls! Women and the conservative movement

We are currently watching the beginning of an American return to conservative values. What is unique about this return is that it is being led by an increasing number of politically savvy women. Political positions in almost all local, state, and national levels of government have been occupied by women for many years but the overwhelming majority have been filled by liberal Democrats. This is about to change.

Sparked by conservative women like Michele Bachmann, the first woman to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Minnesota, the challenge for women of breaking the “glass ceiling” has been replaced with the reality of breaking the liberal female glass ceiling. Currently Republican Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona is locked in a stare down with President Barack Obama over SB 1070, which deals with illegal immigrants. It’s no longer a question of separating the men from the boys, but more aptly the conservatives from the liberals, the strong from the weak. Jan Brewer is currently winning her stare down with the president, and Arizona’s SB 1070 may in fact be a fundamental catalyst for securing the border in America’s future.

Much praise must be given to Sarah Palin, who invigorated the nation with her conservative values and positive, enthusiastic vision for the country. The Palin phenomenon is still infectious today. What she also did by stepping onto the national stage was educate the nation about a woman’s ability to govern and fight for core beliefs, and to do so without losing her humanity.

So what will this year’s conservative women bring to the table for the primary races in 2010? Many of the Republican women who are poised to unseat longtime Democrats are tremendously successful business leaders from the private sector. Republican Carly Fiorina running for the Senate seat in California against Barbara Boxer is a former Chairman and CEO of Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP). California Republican Meg Whitman won her gubernatorial primary and is the former CEO of eBay Inc. Economically bankrupt California now has the opportunity to elect into high levels of political leadership two dynamic women who have been successful in business and know how to make a profit. Can I hear an “Amen!”

The conservative women of this year’s midterm election will be propelled by the Tea Party movement. You know, that movement that Nancy Pelosi said doesn’t really exist? The Vegas odds are that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will roll “snake eyes” in his attempt at re-election against Republican candidate Sharron Angle. Though we will never know for sure, the GOP’s candidate in the primary race, Sue Lowden, would have most likely sent Reid home a loser, yes, another conservative, yes, another woman.

Additional Republicans challenging influential Senate seats include Jane Norton in Colorado, Linda McMahon in Connecticut and Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire. When we look at these ladies of liberty, these women of worth, we see that their primary victories have been hinged upon their abilities to articulate the conservative message: limited government, controlled spending, adherence to the Constitution and traditional American values. What you do not hear from these conservatives is that they are victims of everything, or that they deserve the American people’s votes because of who they are. Instead, they are taking the conservative route in their platforms, staying issue-driven and appealing to the American people with what they have already accomplished and how it will apply in their future service. As the country moves back to conservative values to survive as a nation, let us not forget that many of our champions will be wearing skirts. Let’s hear it for the girls!

Women Join Sarah – Lets Unite for Family and Country

People in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks

Women Join Sarah – Lets Unite for Family and Country

She’s a daughter, a wife, a mother and friend to many – she’s one of us and yet there are those who enjoy making her the laughing stock of America. You tube is a perfect example of raw humor at this young governor’s expense.

Saturday Night Live continues to poke fun of the Alaskan Governor and frankly they do it because of ratings and money – to them she’s a hot commodity that is bringing them to life again. That’s what Saturday Night thrives on – is laughs at someone else’s expense.

Madonna comes out of her closet to rip the governor apart and Madonna of all people shouldn’t throw stones or even marshmallows! CNN just lowered their standards another notch as they try desperately to degrade the Republican VP, so their buddy Joe Biden can live happily ever after. There again CNN is all about money and one-sided stories – what happened to old fashioned unbiased journalism?

Thousands of Obama Bloggers have had a hay day with their off color puns and derogatory remarks about this young women and mother – they even sunk so low as to make fun of Sarah and Todd’s precious little “Special Needs’ baby. Baraka Hussein Obama, Jr spent much more energy and time trying to belittle Sarah Palin than on his duties as Senator. Now there’s someone with their priorities on straight! Ha

What could American women be thinking at this time to sit by and allow this atrocity? Maybe you forgot who fought for woman suffrage or the first woman to vote in the US after the 19th amendment was passed – like Sarah they were proud to be an American and wanted to make our country a better place.

Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton formed the National Woman Suffrage Association around May of 1869. Lucy Stone fought valiantly to get voting rights for women.

In 1896, the National Association of Colored Women was formed by Josephine St. Pierre Ruffin, Mary Church Terrell and Anna Julia Cooper. Brave women who believed in their country and fought for their freedoms.

Let me refresh your memory, 5 days after the 19th Amendment was signed in Hannibal, a small town in Missouri, Mrs. Marie Ruoff Byrum cast her ballot. She was the first female to vote in our US and the year was 1920.

We have Hillary Clinton, Dr. Condeezza Rice, Katie Couric, Barbara Walters and the list goes on and on – like Sarah all of these women fought for equal rights for women. Women are still fighting for equal pay in the workplace with hopes in the near future that this dream may come true.

We are talking about daughters, wives and mothers who have withstood the forces against womanhood; women that have contributed unselfishly to make our country a safer and better place. And yet, we are sitting back at Sarah’s expense and exploiting her womanhood in front of God and the World – shame on us.

It’s obvious that we’re out of tune or not marching to the same drummer that these courageous women marched to – our agenda and priorities have become a maize of confusion. We’d rather spend our time belittling a brave young woman, who has accepted the position of Republican VP Elect than to reach out our arms and give her support. Shame on us for such ugly, inexcusable behavior!

Isn’t it funny how CNN and other liberalist news media find this young woman so intriguing – is it her gender or is it jealousy, maybe money? Our country is literally on their knees, in a recession, slipping daily towards a depression and we’re just experiencing the traumatic affect that the “Bail Out or Rescue Plan” is creating.

To all American women, regardless of race, color, religion, sexual preference or marital status – she is one of us and she is our sister. Lets put our energy into something positive that will benefit our country and families.

Americans need to start doing their homework, reviewing our President and VP Elect’s records, remembering that even our laws support “Guilty by Association.” If you are driving the get away car for a bank robbery yet didn’t actually rob the back you can bet the long arm of the law will put you away, yes guilty by association.

It should matter who Baraka Hussein Obama, Jr. has associated himself with throughout his life. Reverend Wright spews hatred weekly that is anti-American and he is proud of it. William Ayers is a confirmed terrorist, claiming responsibility for several bombing here in the United States without one thought or word of remorse, regret or acknowledgement that his hate for American, the place he calls home is completely criminal!

Yes, who the Candidates associate with and their past history is crucial, because it defines their character and certainly speaks to their judgment. Past performance is a great predictor of future performance. Sarah has one of the highest approval ratings as governor in our history –Alaskans are proud of her and knows her as “Sarah.”

Have you taken time to really get to know Sarah – or are you still sitting back enjoying the dirty jokes, lies and puns? Sarah is a daughter, a wife and mother – yes she’s a maverick and no she’s not an insider, nor does she run with the “Elite” crowd.

Country comes first to Sarah and she wants to leave her children and yours a legacy that they can be proud of and get their arms around. As Sarah would say, “Good Night and May God Bless America.”

As Always,
Annie
