Onward Christian Soldiers!

As our friend Matt Drudge would say… developing. Sorry, Matt, I don’t have that kind of patience. Somewhere between 60 and 76 per cent of Americans identify themselves as ‘Christian’. There’s another 2.1 per cent of the population that are Jewish. Together, we comprise the largest Judeo-Christian nation in the world. We also represent the largest voting demographic in the nation. You wouldn’t know it by the way we act sometimes, but it’s a fact nonetheless.

Obama has stirred up a veritable fire-ants’ nest of opposition from the country’s Christians, Jews, and not a few Hindus and Muslims as well, according to reports. It’s good to see these disparate churches standing up and speaking out. At long last, some in the religious community are beginning to see what we’ve been warning them about… An assault on the first amendment for one is an assault on all.

One of the most obvious and telling effects among the religious community is the reaction of ‘socially conscious’ so-called progressive Catholics. These Catholics voted in large numbers for the ‘Anointed One’ in 2008. Conservative groups polling these folks find them splitting away from Obama as the Maoist’s threat to the mother church has been revealed.

America’s Jews, on the other hand, many illogically liberal to their core, have been experiencing buyer’s remorse, with the chilling realization that Obama’s ‘support’ for the Jewish homeland reads more like another unlamented dictator’s run-up to Kristallnacht in 1938 Germany. The similarities between the tactics of our wannabe Mahdi president and those of the German dictator are enough to send a chill through any historian.

Another ancillary benefit of MaoBama’s assault on the church is that, seemingly, the ‘shock treatment’ has shaken America’s cardinals and bishops out of their political stupor. It’s about time they got some serious backbone. Obama’s plans for their church are every bit as dire as they are for his presiding, along with his Muslim buddies, over the destruction of Israel.

Obama’s ‘gandy dance’ shifting of his abortion mandate away from the Catholic institutions and on to the nation’s insurance carriers hasn’t worked. With his overbearing arrogance, he has overlooked the fact that, in his rush to consolidate absolute power over the citizens of America, he has become increasingly visible to Americans who wouldn’t normally be paying attention to the upcoming presidential race for months yet. I credit the efforts of the Tea Party Patriots out in the communities with that.

Never before have we witnessed more patently unconstitutional behavior in a chief executive. It’s vast in its illegality and its over reach.

Does this mean it’s over for MaoBama and his DeMarxists? Okay, I won’t insult your intelligence. Of course it doesn’t. He still has to be beaten at the polling places… out in the communities… out in the cities, villages and towns of America. Forget the primary… it will be either Santorum, whom I am now favoring, or Romney. Paul was always a non sequitur, despite the fanaticism of his few supporters. Lastly, I don’t think Newt can resurrect himself again. People would be wondering not if he were going to go off message, but when. Above all, Conservatives want stability in a leader, especially in these very dangerous times. The American nation must unite at the ballot box to defeat Barack Hussein Obama and his goons.

I don’t think it’s going to go to a brokered convention. I think that’s most likely a fragrant herring being put out by some establishment operatives, because no sooner than they bleated about the possibility of the Republican convention being brokered, than the same sources sort of timidly floated a balloon saying it may present an opportunity for Jeb Bush to rush in and save the party.
Umm… I don’t know about the rest of you guys out there, but I think we’ve seen quite enough of the Bush’s for, let’s say… another decade or so.

Regardless of who the nominee is, Obama is going to face an immensely peed electorate that is much, much better educated about the activities of Barry Hussein and his lawless regime than in 2008.

Big Trouble in Calamitous Cairo: Ginsburg’s Egyptian Odyssey

Equally as loathsome when actor and malcontent Sean Penn criticizes America while praising the Arab Spring, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg disparaging the US Constitution rivals treason.

Ginsburg’s ACLU convictions shadow her in old age. Conjoined in mindset with Barack Obama, both believe the Constitution is an outdated allegory, no longer sufficient as a guiding vehicle to the norms of contemporary society.

Like a vulture awaiting a carcass to further decompose before gorging its remains, Ginsburg shared her ill-timed and progressive views on social equality in the appropriately moldering venue of Egypt last week.

A proponent of foreign charters and treaties to better liberate the world, Ginsburg on Christian Arabic Alhayat television, said, “I would not look at the US Constitution if I were drafting a Constitution in 2012, instead suggesting a more modern version, namely South Africa’s, in laying more fundamental human rights and an independent judiciary.

In Cairo on the one-year anniversary of the Friday of Rage, marking the uprising leading to the ouster of Hosni Mubarak, Ginsburg called it “a very inspiring time, that you have overthrown a dictator, and that you are striving to achieve a genuine democracy. Americans are hoping that this transition will work.”

In the streets below her hotel overlooking Tahrir Square, Islamists and liberal secular-leaning protesters were seen divided on how to achieve that genuine democracy.

Also among the activists on the Square, where in 2011, three world newswomen on assignment were sexually assaulted and molested, including CBS News’ Lara Logan who was raped, were members of the rancorous Muslim Brotherhood, unsullied from a 50-seat parliamentary election victory, now in the driver’s seat of the country’s conscience.

While Ginsburg espoused “listening and learning from others,” referencing amended protocols from the European Convention on Human Rights, CBC Egypt was simultaneously broadcasting the carnage and subsequent rioting with police in the aftermath of a Port Said soccer match where 74 people were trampled to death.

Ginsburg’s sojourn was tainted as 19 Americans; some from US funded pro-democracy organizations were accused of inferring in the country’s internal politics, and are now being held hostage by Egypt’s military-appointed government.

Choosing not to contradict the objective of her visit, the normally outspoken Ginsburg had no comment on the wave of crime and internal turmoil in a region where the anti-Western Muslim Brotherhood calls the shots following Obama’s call one year ago for Mubarak to step down.

Since Ginsburg won’t use the US Constitution as an archetype model for Egypt, she can’t preach to the new choir inserted there
either; ones with as little regard for American ideals as Ginsburg herself.

The Doom of the Democrat Party

The Democrats are on the run. Even though they have a chance for President in my view (if we nominate Romney) the rest of the game… is “Game Over” for them.

The first evidence was the 2010 election cycle

Landslide!

The defeat at the local level was so severe for the Democrats however in that they lost many gerrymandered districts.

In fact redistricting has caused several Democrats to end re-election bids… I am sure you all can name the Prominment New Yorker…

The tide is also felt in defections. The number may seem small, but considering there is no revserse direction defections in the areas affected…

Defections Galore!

Then there is the map which shows Obama will lose… even if he wins the popular vote

Election 2012

In the elections they have won Democrats have had to spend many more millions than Republicans… in districts once considered Democrat Strongholds.

Even Democrat websites predict the loss of the Senate to Republicans due to a variety of circumstances… mostly however due to retirements.

Uh oh Retirements!

In my home State of Oregon we the GOP look to gain Oregon’s house for sure almost and even have a very high chance to gain the Senate. Something no one would have predicted four years ago!

Obama and the Democrats have also angered a significant portion of the population recently.

25% of the United States identifies as Catholic. Another 10% say they were Catholic. His choice to force Catholic organizations (and other religious and moral dissenters) will cost him a large group that supported him in the 2008 election. His previous outreach that his ideals were morally equivalent (except his stance on Abortion) earned him a lot of Catholic votes.

Now the outraged Catholics will donate time, money, energy in record levels… against Democrats and Obama.

Obama also has failed to galvanize his voters. The 99% effort failed in the face of rising crime, rising odor, and due to a huge disconnect with the average voter. Other efforts continue to marginalize Obama including his new election clothing line for the rich.

With healthcare continuing to be an albatross he also has his TSA problems, EPA over-reaches, DOT problems, and the Keystone pipeline hanging over his head like a Sword of Damocles.

Obama also has problems making good with Hollywood over his refusal to sign SOPA.

In fact Obama’s name is also worth less than it was a few years ago. Obama is less sought out than local celebrities and in fact many are actively avoiding being associated with him at all.

All in all I would say the Democrats bet everything on 2008 and lost it all starting in 2009. What a quick turn around for Democrats!

This nation is 40% Conservative. We will be heard!

  • Tales of A Wimpy President: Obamacare and Contraception

One would be remiss to ignore the Obama Administration’s latest example of hypocrisy, stupidity, and attack on religion. To recount, as part of Obamacare, it now appears that religious organizations must cover contraception in their offered health care insurance packages with employees. Obviously, this has raised the ire of the Catholic Church in particular.

First, as a Catholic, I can safely say that many Catholics practice birth control despite the Church’s teachings. Likewise, I am sure that Catholic women have had abortions just as I believe some Catholics view Christ as more of an historical figure. The point is that one cares less about polls cited by liberal talking heads showing that over 80% of Catholics disagree with the Church’s position on birth control. The bigger point is that the Church’s view on the subject is a central tenet of their faith and has been for a very, very long time. At its epicenter is the belief in the sanctity of human life- real or potential. It is the guiding principle that leads to other areas. It is why the Church has a policy against capital punishment. Because I disagree with it as a Catholic makes it no less a central tenet of faith. And largely ignored by the media, because they have those polls to prove their point, is the fact that abortificents like the “morning after” pill would also have to be covered.

Obama deftly avoided the issue by putting off implementation until after the election, although Catholic leaders were led to believe that they would be exempt from this provision. This is the same liberal thinking and weasel action that guided his decision on the Keystone pipeline. If contraceptive services are an over riding governmental interest in health care reform as HHS and Obama state, then grow a set of balls and tell the Church that and stand on your principle. But instead, Obama pushed the issue down the road until after the election. And it is proof of two things- this Administration is guided by liberal non-principles and they have a thing against organized religion in this country. Put another way, Obama is a wimp.

One has to question Obama’s motivation here. He had th leadership of the Catholic Church on his side on many key issues. For example, they have been the most vocal proponents of comprehensive immigration reform including amnesty. They largely supported Obamacare, some even calling for a single payer system. In fact, on many issues, the Church has been quite liberal. But for some reason, he has taken them on and potentially costing himself votes in the process. Does this man really believe his liberal base will push him to victory? Perhaps, some internal polling showed that he was losing or lost the Catholic vote. I am not insinuating that Catholics take their voting orders from the pulpit. However, Catholics and anyone of faith can see that this is an attack on religion in general. If he can openly take on a central tenet of faith of a major religion cloaked in the language of health care reform, what stops him from doing so with other religions? For example, some Jews see Jerusalem as the rightful capital of Israel. What if Obama, for the greater good, says that is a bunch of religious malarkey and that Jerusalem should be the capital of a new Palestinian state?

The more practical problem is that the Catholic Church, like many religious organizations, not only hold services on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. They also operate charities. They operate hospitals. They operate adoption services. They operate colleges and universities. They operate elementary and high schools. And they employ and they insure many people, not all of them Catholic. No religion should compromise a basic tenet of their faith under a government mandate. That is the precise reason for the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses in the 1st Amendment.

The only motivation in delaying the implementation until 2013 (besides the obvious political one) is to avoid the inevitable court case. Just this term, the Supreme Court ruled 9-0 against the Obama Administration’s position in the Hosannah Tabor Church ruling. Although not directly related, there are some similarities. In that case, the EEOC tried to enforce a finding against the church in favor of an employee, but in direct conflict with a stated church policy and central belief of that church’s beliefs and practices. No less a liberal than Elena Kagan was openly dismissive of the government’s arguments in that case and viewed the EEOC’s actions as an unwarranted and dangerous intrusion into the operation and beliefs of a church. In the case, the attack on religion was cloaked in the language of ending sex discrimination in the workplace. Although some considered it a narrow decision, it had larger implications that touched upon other basic beliefs. For example, had the government prevailed, in the interest of ending sex discrimination, there was the slippery slope possibility of some court ordering a church to ordain priests. The decision was an embarrassing and emphatic slap down of the Obama Administration and it cut across ideological lines with a 9-0 decision.

This is not just an attack on the beliefs of the Catholic Church. This is an attack on every faith practiced in America. If the government can demand actions of religions because they happen to employ people and because they deem their action “in the best interests of the people,” then liberalism has certainly won the day. But, is that the America our Founding Fathers envisioned? Is that the America in which one wants to live? This man in the White House needs to be shown the door. Everyone, not just Catholics, who believe in a power greater than ourselves needs to come to this realization before it is too late.

    The Contraception deception

    The Contraception deception…

“If you like your plan, you will get to keep your plan!” Remember Obama promising you that about ObaMAOcare?!?!?!

Do you think Religious institutions, exercising their conscience by not having their plans include contraception and the (Morning after) Abortion pill, like their plans the way they are?!?! Obama shows how “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan” is, and always has been; as well as most everything else out of his mouth is; A LIE!

There is something else that everyone is missing here. This is a purposeful, willful, and with malice of fore-thought, a direct attempt to get Religious endeavors TO DROP THEIR PLANS causing countless more Americans to be in that “Public Option,” which was, is, and always has been, their (Liberals) goal. They are moving to complete, outright, Government controlled Socialized Medicine; ObaMAOcare was designed to do this from the outset – to destroy and move people away from Private Health Care Insurance plans to a Government option.

Time and time again, we warned people this was the plan/goal from the outset and so many just buried their head back in the sand – too lazy to pay attention and do any research for themselves, just buying into any and all lies from Liberal/Progressive Democrats about the ObaMAOcare scheme. They have been pushing for this since the 1930′s (long before HilaryCare) and only now under Obama and while they had Democrat control of the House and Senate were they finally able to (do what they couldn’t, but tried, to do under Clinton, and) ram it through.

Shamefully, Mitt Romney continues to struggle on finding the “right message” (response) to the ‘Obama-care is just Romney-care on a National scale’ meme. While there are similarities (Mandate), they are NOT exactly the same. The words Romney, and other Republicans, must be putting forth is the simple truth: Obama-care was designed to DISGUISE itself as a Romney-care clone, but is little more than a Trojan-horse (Wolf, in Romney-care clothing). While it (Obama-care) keeps the facade of “Private Insurance” coverages, countless other pages/sections are designed and in-place to undermine that (“If you like your plan, you can keep your plan”) concept and drive more and more people unto the “Public Option.” Obama-care was/is designed TO FAIL over the long haul, at which time having harmed Private coverage and driven people off their plans onto the Public Option, and usher in the Democrats next calls for out-right and complete 100% Government-run Socialized Medicine.

I have seen many Religious spokespersons asking that we contact our Representatives and ask that “this policy” be “corrected!” THAT IS THE WRONG APPROACH, ALL OF OBAMA-CARE MUST BE REPEALED – that is the correct/only option and course of action that will stop Liberals/Progressives from exerting control over any and all aspects of your Life in the name of Health Care. Our Representatives must STOP trying to tinker around the edges and continue to demand complete repeal – no Republican that offers/promises any less should be supported!

Obama’s mistake was letting this cat out of the bag before this 2012 election. Rest assured, if they cave on the issue now, it will only be to get past the election and to once again push this issue. It’s all about pushing people from Private coverage (by badgering, bullying, regulating into submission, or HC inflation to cause cost prohibition, organizations into dropping their coverages – pushing their people) to the Public Option.

Obamaocare primers: here, here, here, here, here, and HC summary here.

Why Politicians Are Like Copper Thieves

Washington is a criminal enterprise, which is not news. Politicians regularly dole favors to their donors in the form of grants and loan guarantees (Solyndra), theft of private assets for bailouts (Chrysler), and mandates for the use of worthless commodities (corn ethanol). The corruption is endless and goes back to Byzantium; governments are always corrupt because men are corruptible. Due to its size, however, Washington is the greatest criminal enterprise ever assembled. Still, what manner of thief has Washington become? The worst kind.

Popular culture lionizes certain classes of criminals, such as jewel thieves and bank heist masterminds, while it demonizes dirty crimes like armed robberies. Why the difference? Isn’t a thief a thief? Not entirely, and for good reasons. A jewel thief takes from the rich, who by popular belief can afford a loss. He sneaks into a mansion, barely breaking a single window, removes the jewels, and disappears. Nobody is injured, nothing much is damaged, and the jewels go on to flatter another wealthy owner; at least in the movies. Economically, this theft is highly efficient. Wealth is transferred from one person to another with little collateral impact. It is as if the rich victim just handed a stack of cash to the thief.

Dirty crimes involve a high degree of collateral damage as a part of the transfer of wealth. When an armed robber steals a few hundred dollars from a convenience store, the collateral damage is tremendous. People are often murdered, and customers lose faith in the store’s safety, so they shop elsewhere. The damage caused by dirty and unpopular crimes greatly exceeds the value to the thief; people instinctively say “what a waste” when they hear of these crimes.

A particularly wasteful crime trend is copper thieves. Copper thieves steal from construction sites by cutting down installed copper wires and pipes in order to sell the valuable metal as scrap. In doing so, they destroy the value of the labor that installed the copper as well as the finished value of the wire and pipe. Stealing copper whose scrap value may be a few hundred dollars can cause hundreds of thousands of dollars in collateral damage. Economically, copper thieves are among the worst criminals because they cause so much harm for a relatively small personal gain.

So, is Washington’s culture of corruption more like a jewel thief or a copper thief? Washington causes incalculable collateral damage while directing wealth to its friends. As Peter Schweizer’s Throw Them All Out documented, a few hundred thousand dollars thrown at a politician results in tens of millions in graft in return. From the investor’s (i.e. donor’s) point of view, political gamesmanship is the best investment of all. From the taxpayer’s perspective, Washington corruption is nearly a crime against humanity.

Consider corn ethanol. Because each State is equal in the Senate, a swath of low population states that grow corn wield extreme power over Congress’s appropriations. These corn states have forced politicians to mandate ever more corn ethanol in gasoline because it drives up prices and demand for corn. Congress has outlawed the importation of Brazilian sugar and ethanol because it is too competitive. If the goal were to reduce CO2 emissions, Brazilian sugar and ethanol would be the choice, but the goal is to benefit comparatively rich plain state farmers. The result is world hyperinflation in food prices. Corn prices rose from under $2.50 per bushel to $6 thanks to Washington mandates. Since cattle feed on corn, steak prices are rising at 10 times the rate of general inflation. Worldwide prices of substitute staples like rice also rose, causing a food crisis where most people spend most of their income on food. Just like copper thieves, Washington politicians, largely Republican in this case, do not care how many people they hurt to get a few thousand campaign dollars.

On the Democrat side, consider Pres. Obama’s harassment of Chrysler bondholders. In order to bail out his UAW base, Obama stole from the bondholders whose rights were senior to those of the labor union. Obama called on the bondholders to “sacrifice” to benefit the greater good, but his version of the greater good was the UAW, which represents a tiny wealthy sliver the US’s workforce. The greater cost for Obama’s theft is hidden in the revelation that politics trumps property rights. The Chrysler bondholders were prepared to sue the Government, but they were convinced by Obama’s operatives that they would be beaten down long before prevailing in court. Until this moment, an investor felt he knew his rights, but now any investment can be taken without cause or compensation if the President so wishes. In order to transfer a few million dollars to his cronies, Obama permanently damaged an $8 trillion engine for capital formation and economic growth.

If only Washington acted as the gentlemanly jewel thief, simply giving its stolen cash to its friends. Instead, Washington is like the copper thief, callous to the incidental damage its thievery causes. The next time someone exposes the latest episode of Washington corruption, remember to scale-up the reported graft to include the collateral damage.
