Equally as loathsome when actor and malcontent Sean Penn criticizes America while praising the Arab Spring, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg disparaging the US Constitution rivals treason.

Ginsburg’s ACLU convictions shadow her in old age. Conjoined in mindset with Barack Obama, both believe the Constitution is an outdated allegory, no longer sufficient as a guiding vehicle to the norms of contemporary society.

Like a vulture awaiting a carcass to further decompose before gorging its remains, Ginsburg shared her ill-timed and progressive views on social equality in the appropriately moldering venue of Egypt last week.

A proponent of foreign charters and treaties to better liberate the world, Ginsburg on Christian Arabic Alhayat television, said, “I would not look at the US Constitution if I were drafting a Constitution in 2012, instead suggesting a more modern version, namely South Africa’s, in laying more fundamental human rights and an independent judiciary.

In Cairo on the one-year anniversary of the Friday of Rage, marking the uprising leading to the ouster of Hosni Mubarak, Ginsburg called it “a very inspiring time, that you have overthrown a dictator, and that you are striving to achieve a genuine democracy. Americans are hoping that this transition will work.”

In the streets below her hotel overlooking Tahrir Square, Islamists and liberal secular-leaning protesters were seen divided on how to achieve that genuine democracy.

Also among the activists on the Square, where in 2011, three world newswomen on assignment were sexually assaulted and molested, including CBS News’ Lara Logan who was raped, were members of the rancorous Muslim Brotherhood, unsullied from a 50-seat parliamentary election victory, now in the driver’s seat of the country’s conscience.

While Ginsburg espoused “listening and learning from others,” referencing amended protocols from the European Convention on Human Rights, CBC Egypt was simultaneously broadcasting the carnage and subsequent rioting with police in the aftermath of a Port Said soccer match where 74 people were trampled to death.

Ginsburg’s sojourn was tainted as 19 Americans; some from US funded pro-democracy organizations were accused of inferring in the country’s internal politics, and are now being held hostage by Egypt’s military-appointed government.

Choosing not to contradict the objective of her visit, the normally outspoken Ginsburg had no comment on the wave of crime and internal turmoil in a region where the anti-Western Muslim Brotherhood calls the shots following Obama’s call one year ago for Mubarak to step down.

Since Ginsburg won’t use the US Constitution as an archetype model for Egypt, she can’t preach to the new choir inserted there
either; ones with as little regard for American ideals as Ginsburg herself.

Last week, I attended the Smart Girl Summit in Washington, D.C.  The conference was filled with women of strength, of brains, of beauty and of fierce resolve.  Women from all walks of life who came together, fighting and trying to do what is best for their children and this country.  But, I was struck by something else; to the Left, these women are either whores or some creepy new invention of faux women, worthy of only mocking and ridicule.

Many told of times where they had been, like I have, called “gender traitors” or not real women. I’ve been called a dumb tart, just a rack, and told “I have better meat for her mouth.” I’ve been accused of being a wholly owned subsidiary of male dominated culture, whatever that means. We dumb tarts can’t seem to figure out things like that.

Every woman I met laughed such things off. That part didn’t shock me. See, we don’t relish victim-hood. We are also secure and comfortable in our own skins, breasts and fancy wombs and all. But, another reason it is laughed off did bother me. Because we are “used to it.”  The thing is, we shouldn’t be. It shouldn’t be happening. Yet, it does. Over and over.

The Left is still busily trumpeting the fallacy-filled idea of there being a wage gap in favor of men. In fact, the DNC recently sent out an email once again attempting to promulgate this lie, on the 90th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage, no less. Hey, never waste a Crisis ™, real or imagined, and also never waste a chance to totally use women, right, Lefties? Have to keep those women in line! By in line, I, of course, mean completely shrouded in a veil of nanny state neediness and victim-hood. As I said in my post about the 90th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage, the woe-is-us “wage gap” myth has been shattered, despite the Left’s attempt to cover up pesky things like facts and figures and such. Math is hard:

CONSAD found that controlling for career interruption and other factors reduced the pay gap from about 20 percent to about 5 percent. Data limitations prevented it from considering many other factors. For example, the data did not permit an examination of total compensation, which would examine health insurance and other benefits, and instead focused solely on wages paid. The data were also limited with respect to work experience, job tenure, and other factors.

The Labor Department’s conclusion was that the gender pay gap was the result of a multitude of factors and that the “raw wage gap should not be used as the basis for [legislative] correction. Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be almost entirely the result of individual choices being made by both male and female workers.”

What? Individual choice? That’s unheard of. Well, unless the choice is killing an unborn child, natch. Time Magazine is now even admitting the gender wage gap against women is unfounded. And, in fact, that women are presently out-earning men. According to Time, we should think this is super awesome. They even titled the article “At Last, Women On Top“.  (I think that’s supposed to be titillating and edgy):

The emergence of conservative women to the forefront recently has made them particularly unbearable, as they strive to, in every repugnant way possible, diminish said women. This is just the latest from one of them, Miss Gloria Steinem, who unfortunately resurfaced from whatever Birkenstock-clad, soy latte drinking ivory tower she was hiding in:

Old school feminism is dead. And I say, good riddance.  What is even more delightful is that old school feminists have hammered the final nail into their own coffin, by exposing themselves for what they truly are and what they truly believe. We can, partially, thank Sarah Palin for that. What we must not do, however, is start another round of identity politics and I’ve seen that creeping up of late. That must not be allowed to continue.

I wrote something recently about Sarah Palin and the new face of feminism, entitled Taking Feminism Back: Sarah Palin Endorses Nikki Haley for SC Governor. My point was that conservative women are strong, capable and are fed up at having faux feminists (who are actually Femisogynists) constantly claim that they speak for us as they strive to turn all women into perpetual victims, at the mercy of big strong daddy government. We are also tired of motherhood being diminished and considered a detriment instead of an attribute. I was taking the term feminist back, not because it’s a necessary or even a desirable term, but so that the LEFT can no longer use it and can no longer continue to use identity politics as a wedge and a way to put people in race based and gender based boxes.

But, apparently some, even at the pro-Palin New Agenda, are now trying to turn Palin and other GOP women into typical Stepford Feminists. No. We must not allow that.  Sarah Palin and the women of the GOP are “true feminists,” in the original intent of the word, yes. And the fact that the faux feminists on the Left are so up in arms about them using the term, which they have bastardized beyond recognition, attests to that fact.

But the term is not necessary.
