Union Retaliated Against Boeing’s South Carolina Employees, NLRB Charge Alleges

Having posted extensively on the Machinists’ union smokescreen at Boeing, there is some sense of satisfaction in knowing that Boeing’s union-free employees in South Carolina are not letting the union get away with retaliating against them for choosing to be union-free.

Indeed, were it not for the fact that the once-unionized Boeing employees in South Carolina kicked the Machinists union out of their workplace, the union would likely never have filed a charge against Boeing for locating the 787 work in South Carolina.

Well, with free legal help from the National Right to Work Foundation, three Boeing employees filed charges with the National Labor Relations Board against the International Association of Machinists on Wednesday.

Sending Mixed Messages, Obama’s NLRB Drops Wrongful Prosecution of Boeing

Following the ratification of a new Seattle-area contract between Boeing and its largest union, the International Association of Machinists, eight months of the union extremists running Barack Obama’s National Labor Relations Board wrongfully prosecuting Boeing offcially and quietly comes to an end.

[via New York Times]

A top official with the National Labor Relations Board announced on Friday that the agency was dropping its politically charged case against Boeing, in which the agency had accused the company of violating federal labor law by opening a new aircraft production plant in South Carolina.

The N.L.R.B.’s acting general counsel, Lafe Solomon, said the labor board had decided to end the case after the machinists’ union — which originally asked for the case to be brought — had urged the board on Thursday to withdraw it.

According to a statement issued by the NLRB’s Acting General Counsel:

One of the stated goals of the National Labor Relations Act is to foster collective bargaining and productive labor-management relations. From the beginning of this case, and at every step in the process, we have encouraged the parties to find a mutually-acceptable resolution that protects the rights of workers under federal labor law. The parties’ collective bargaining agreement, ratified this week, does just that.

Obama On Technology: Prometheus Had It Coming

Dorothy, I Have a Feeling We Aren’t In America Anymore!

These changes didn’t just affect blue-collar workers. If you were a bank teller or a phone operator or a travel agent, you saw many in your profession replaced by ATMs or the internet.

– President Barack Obama (HT: RealClearPolitics)

They obviously don’t dispense wisdom and knowledge at Harvard or Columbia like they used to. Here we have a man who prior to being elected President of The United States, obtained a law degree from Harvard. Along his winding journey to the pinnacles of American achievement, he also collected a noxious gallimaufry of profoundly mistaken notions of how technology effects the world around him.

Yes, over time, technology replaces outmoded and inefficient processes with more automated and effective alternatives. It must be a terrible existential punch in the gut to be told that a machine or algorithm does whatever you do for a living more advantageously. Count me as one who personally empathizes with the beleaguered travel agents, but who doesn’t buy Barack Obama’s Neo-Marxian velleities of the intellect at the expense of logic and truth.

Help Halt the NLRB’s Assault On America’s Union-Free Workplace

Last week’s NLRB vote to give unions the ability to ambush union-free workers and the companies that employ them, as well as to deny due process on bargaining unit issues, is only the latest in a long line of attacks on America’s union-free workforce by the union extremists controlling Barack Obama’s National Labor Relations Board.

Notwithstanding the recent agreement between Boeing and the Machinists’ union to end the prosecution* of Boeing opening its second 787 in South Carolina, listing out of all of the attacks on job creators and  America’s union-free workforce would necessitate more than an entire post. However, here are just a few of the NLRB’s assaults on America’s union-free workforce:
