A Way Around the Mainstream Media


How smart is it to keep raising hundreds of millions of dollars to support Republican candidates, and then turn around and hand it over to the Liberal Mainstream Media in order to try to get them elected?  Frankly I think it’s just plain stupid!  If you are a conservative, that money will only be used against you in the General Election, and it will only be used to elect more Liberals and Progressives, who will only continue to over tax you, over regulate you, and generally make your life more miserable.  It will only make you poorer while never serving to empower you!  Isn’t it quite obvious that we are following the wrong paradigm?  It is an unproductive paradigm that will never give us the ideological victory that we want. Then why do Republicans keep on doing this?

Let me offer at least a plausible explanation for what appears to illustrate very well, the definition of insanity.  It’s because for way too long the Republican Party has actually been controlled by east-coast Liberals.  Ronald Reagan encountered the “east-coast effect” when he ran for President the first two times, in 1968 and in 1976. But Reagan wasn’t the first, or the only conservative Republican to experience the determination of the “checked-pants Republicans” to maintain their firm grip on the GOP.

Richard Nixon was not really a conservative, but he was at least marginally better than his opponent Nelson Rockefeller was, at least at the beginning.  Nixon experienced the resistance of the Republican Party Progressives to give up the “keys to the car” and to relinquish control of the vehicle to someone other than themselves.  But Nixon was a “practical man” and he made compromises with the east-coast plutocracy in order to get what he wanted.  The only thing that even remotely resembled conservativism about Richard Nixon was his strong anti –Communist foreign policy.

However Barry Goldwater was a real conservative, and he definitely experienced the Progressive Republican backlash when he ran for the Republican Party nomination in 1964 against Nelson Rockefeller and won.  But this perennial resistance and open hostility to conservative values from the Republican Party Establishment probably cost him the General Election.  He was soundly trumped by Lyndon Johnson with the help from progressives in both political Parties, and the Liberal mainstream media who portrayed Goldwater as a hardline extremist.  The perennial resistance to conservative ideas within the progressive arms of both major political Parties goes back even farther than Goldwater, all the way back to the election of 1952, when Senator Robert Taft, the son of former President William Taft, along with his probable running mate, General Douglas MacArthur were sidelined by the Republican Party Establishment because of their fierce anti-Communist views.

It’s hard to know whether it was just their fierce anti Communist views that were actually the problem for Taft and Mac Arthur, or whether it was really their overall reluctance to take orders from the “powers behind the throne” that angered the Progressive Establishment.  In any event, “The Establishment” got behind Dwight D. Eisenhower who chose Richard Nixon as his running mate, and that was pretty much the end of Taft’s and MacArthur’s chances of winning!  The real conservatives in the race that year were Taft and MacArthur, not Eisenhower and Nixon. They had broad popular support and it was thought that they would be a shoe- in to win.  But that didn’t take into account the determination of “The Progressive Establishment” and the resources that they could bring to the table to accomplish their goal. “The strategy of the Progressive Establishment has always been to get the two most Liberal candidates nominated in the Primaries, and then to elect the most Progressive of them in the General Election.”

For a long time, real conservatives in the Republican Party have been given the short shrift, so this year’s State Primaries come as no surprise to me.  That’s why Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, and Ron Paul have all been largely ignored by the Republican Establishment and by the mainstream media.  But is there a way around this perplexing, perennial problem, i.e. the stranglehold that the Progressive Establishment and the mainstream media exercise over our elections, and over the Conservative Movement?  In a word, maybe.

I have been writing articles on politics and current events for over a year now.  I keep focusing on the flawed mechanics of how we keep nominating our candidates, in other words the three M’s of electioneering:   Money, Madison Avenue, and The Media.  All of the electioneering only serves to enrich and empower the Liberal, mainstream press.  Our elections have become nothing more than a cash cow for the Liberal media giants, like ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX.  So what can we do about it?

When Ross Perot, a few years ago referred to that great sucking sound being the noise of American jobs leaving our country, he was only partly correct.  It is also the sound caused every two or four years by all of the money being sucked out of the pockets of conservative and moderate donors to Republican candidates, and being transferred into the New York bank accounts of the Big Liberal Democrats who own most of the mainstream media! Is there anything that we can do to staunch this financial bleeding, and still win elections?  Well, I believe there is.

I post all of my articles about politics and current events on my website <LessGovistheBestGov.com> I have not spent one red cent to advertise in the mainstream media in order to get noticed or to be heard above the din…And guess what?  If you type in the words: Newt Gingrich-progressive into the search engine, or into the address bar on the top of your computer screen, one of my articles on Newt Gingrich is #8 on the search results page, out of over 42,000,000 results! The same thing also happens when you type in the words : Newt Gingrich- establishment.  Out of 157,000,000 results, one of my articles on Newt Gingrich is #10 on the search results page!  But there’s even better news than that.  If you type in Newt Gingrich- progressive- establishment: BINGO you hit the jackpot!  Out of over 34,000,00 results, the top three items on the search page are three of my articles from <LessGovistheBestGov.com> There is also a 4th article from <LessGovistheBestGov.com > a little farther down in the #8 position.  In between are other articles from Glenn Beck, The Blaze, and ABC News. Similar results happen if you type in Mitt Romney- conservative;  or one world order- Newt Gingrich;  or Council on Foreign Relations-progressive-establishment.  When you type these last words into the address bar, the top four articles are all from LessGovistheBestGov.com!

I think this proves that there is definitely a way around the mainstream media chokehold on our political process, and that conservatives can be heard and we can get our message out without depending upon the mainstream media.  And we can educate and inform the electorate without depending upon the media spokes mouths, like George Will and Charles Krauthammer, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.  Even more importantly we do not have to drop any more money in venues that are openly hostile to our political ideology.  But I and others like me could use your help.   

You are willing to donate money every year to the RNC, or to Republican candidates like Rick Perry and Hermann Cain.  When it’s all sad and done, and of course it is very sad, they actually bilked you out of your money by pandering to your conservative values, and then turning around and handing it over to phony conservatives, or Liberal Republicans like Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney!  Are you willing to give at least a small percentage of your hard earned money to support legitimate efforts such as mine that are actually trying to advance conservative principles?

What I do isn’t easy and it isn’t free.  I have personally spent over $20,000 of my own personal savings so far to get this website to the point where it is now being heard.  You ask me why it took so much money.  Well first of all, it’s not a lot of money when you compare it to what others are spending, much larger than me to be heard, and their internet search results are not any better than mine in many cases.  In some cases my search results are actually better than theirs!  By that I’m referring to Glenn Beck, the Blaze, Sean Hannity, ABC News, the Huffington Post, Alex Jones and his websites, Prison Planet and Info Wars.com.

But there are other people involved in the day to day operations of the website, and they charge for their time.  There is a website administrator who posts all of the stories and runs the nuts and bolts operation of the website.  She charges $60 an hour.  Four to five hours a week for fifteen months pretty quickly adds up to $15,000. Then there is graphic artwork that sometimes needs to get done.  That costs $60 an hour too.  These people have to put food on their table, and pay their mortgages, and provide for their families.  I use typists other than myself at times, and that costs $10 an hour.  I have an I.T. person who posts my articles on Facebook and Twitter and manages the responses.  She also posts my stories on other websites much bigger than my own, all in an effort to allow me to continue to write. And of course all of my time up till now has been absolutely free.

So after about a year I have spent over $20,000 of my own personal savings to get this website to the position where it can be heard above the din.  Why have I done all of this?  That’s a fair question.  Well, partly because I wanted to do something more meaningful with my life, and partly because I believe that this is a great country, which has been taken over by people in Washington with little minds.  As the great 18th century Irish statesman, Edmund Burke remarked, ”A great nation and little minds go ill together.”  I believe that the greatest nation on earth is worth it!  Freedom is worth preserving and passing on to the next generation.  And because way too many Americans put way too much of their trust in Big Government.  Washington wasn’t created to solve the everyday problems in countless little communities all across our country!  WE were!  It is not possible to hang on to our freedom without a quick return to the principles of limited Constitutional government, and to the very principles upon which our country was founded!

Recently I purchased some necessary equipment and I am learning how to use it, and how to do some of the other necessary things besides writing, that are critical to producing the finished product, which are the stories you read. That includes typing, computer skills, and learning how to navigate around the internet, as well as some of my own posting and the actual publishing of articles.  This will help keep costs down in the future.  If you can see the value in what I am doing, and the potential that my website has to express your own views, and hopefully to advance and even influence the national and local debates, then would you consider making a small donation to help the cause?

Finally I am grateful to everyone who has helped me so far to get the website to where it is today, especially to Thomas Harrison, who is affectionately referred to around here as Dr. Frankenstein, to Cindy Mallette, my trusted I.T. person, and to Kelly Hodsdon, Becky Lemler, Crystal Erickson, Linda Hamilton, and Rosalind Hora.

Someone once said,”Aim for the moon. Then at least you will clear the barn and not wind up in the manure pile.  I just hope I miss the manure pile!

We can win the hearts and minds of our fellow Americans, and ultimately we can win elections too!  But it will take education.  That’s the kind of education that probably won’t be coming from our public or private universities.  And you can bet that we won’t be getting any help from the mainstream media!  We will never win by spending more of our hard earned money in the Liberal mainstream media!  The search results pages that I mentioned earlier prove that real conservative voices can be heard right along with the phony ones sponsored by the mainstream media.

Might: Big Oil and
Kirk Walstreit (R) took turns stomping away at Schmidt.  Big Oil lifted Schmidt
up and put him in the piledriver position and delivered an Oklahoma Driller on the floor.

Tanaka walked out grinning, thinking that he was about to have an easy
night.  Then…this….

PCW Competition Committee Chief John Boehner (R-OH)  in the
ring.

Boehner: As the leader of the PCW Competition
Committee, and since we have no opponent tonight for Yamamoto Tanaka…

Crowd: BOOOOOOOO!

Boehner: I have no other choice but to declare
Tanaka…and Mitt Romney…the-

Suave: What the hell? 

Ron Paul walks out and heads to the ring.

Texas Jack runs down the ramp, passes Paul, and goes right to
the ring.  He throws Boehner out and starts trading shots with Tanaka.

A referee slides into the ring and we’re off.

Suffice to say, Boehner goes off like that elf in the movie ‘Bad
Santa
!’

No, not THAT elf!  Well kinda…but no!

Okay.  Yeah.  That guy.

Meanwhile…

Texas Jack decks Tanaka with a left hand.  He climbs the top
turnbuckle…SPLASH!    Texas Jack hooks the leg…one…two…WHAT?

That’s right, Big Oil came to ringside and pulled the referee out.
Then it got even better…

Suave: “The crowd is pissed and rightly so.
Texas Jack is shouting at Big Oil.  He doesn’t see Tanaka.  HOLY CRAP!

From behind, Tanaka grabbed Texas Jack and dropped him like a bad
habit with the Scorpion Death Drop.  But Tanaka wasn’t done yet…

Suave: Tanaka’s has Texas Jack on the top
rope…no…no…JAPANESE SUPERDESTROYER!  Tanaka covers…Boehner’s in the ring…he
makes the count…1…2..3.

WINNER: Yamamoto Tanaka (R) @ 14:02

Suave would call for the police to come down after Big Oil, Kirk Walstreit,
and PCW Champion Daniel-San hit the ring and beat on Texas Jack.

A-Bomb ducks and then whips him through the ropes to the floor.  Walstreit comes
over- Daisy intercepts and kicks him in the balls.  Then she takes his breath
away with a devastating Daisy Cutter Powerbomb.  Tanaka and Big Oil retreat from

when the Tea Party: Average Joe, ‘Tin Cup’ Ray McAvay, and NRA
show up as well

is parodied in the book as well as most of the main political ‘stars’, is not
happy about his portrayal.

David Brock: That is not fair.  You equate us as being
no better than the lying conservative scum who-

Excerpt from Jesusland vs. Progressiveville:
A man
wearing a white shirt with black pinstripes stood up.  “Ma’am, given the fact
that there appears to be some significant movement forward from the initial
meetings, how long will it be before there will be some sort of official
announcement?”

“It’ll be soon.”

“A follow up,” the reporter said.  “Just how soon?”

“Really, really soon.”

“We object!”

Amy sighed and pointed to two men who shot up out of their chairs.
“What?”

“Eric Boehlert,” the man on the left said.

“David Brock,” the man on the right said.

“We’re from Media Matters for America,” Boehlert said.

“What’s your question?” queried Amy.

Brock answered, “We protest the fact that you allowed the last reporter, who
works for the Wall Street Journal- known for its bias towards conservatives, to
ask a follow up question.  That validates his first question which we see as
slanted towards a conservative viewpoint.”

Amy scratched her head.  “He asked a perfectly reasonable question.”

“We object to the fact that you are allowing the right wing to spew their
hate filled propaganda,” Boehlert said.

Brock added, “You’re helping to push the conservative’s extreme agenda by
giving their questions such credence.”

Amy considered her options.  “Hey, guys?  Look.  I am not biased in any way.
Hell, I’m a big fan of the Dixie Chicks and I feel that what’s happened to them
is a crime.  So-”

“I OBJECT!”

Amy’s eyes fluttered and she shook her head.  “All right, who are you?”

“Noel Sheppard.  NewsBusters.  We take on and fight liberal media bias.”

“And what do you want?  Are you implying that I’m somehow biased?”

“Yes,” Sheppard said matter of factly.  It’s a well known fact that liberals
use their sympathizers in the media to further their left wing agendas.”

“All I said was that I was a big fan of the Dixie Chicks.  And what happened
to them was a crime.”

“So you agree with the Dixie Chicks,” accused Sheppard.  “I knew you were
biased.”

“What?”

“SHE’S BIASED!”

Amy glared at Sheppard.

Of course, Brock again takes great exception at the comparison and threatens
to put Political Championship Wrestling and the author of Jesusland vs.
Progressiveville, Mr. A. Nominous, on his enemies list.  And then the most
peculiar thing happened…

Okay, okay.  More peculiar than the Beach Boys getting back together for
their 50th anniversary.

Suave: “Some guy with a bow-tie is running to the ring!
Wait a minute?  Is that Paul Simon?

Suave: No, wait.  He’s dead.  I don’t
believe it.  Is that Tucker freakin’ Carlson?

Carlson has a chair and hits the ring.  He blasts Brock with the steel
folding chair.  Then something even more inexplicable than the Beach Boys
reuniting and Tucker Carlson doing a run-in takes place…


Alan Dershowitz

Suave: “ALAN DERSHOWITZ? 

Dershowitz hands the referee some sort of warrant.

Suave: What the hell is thatA steel folding
chair warrant?  Is that anything like the ‘torture warrant’ that Dershowitz once
advocated?

Apparently so.  After delivering the warrant, Dershowitz takes the chair from
Carlson and whaps Brock with it.  Then he took the microphone.

Dershowitz: “…let me tell you, Max Blumenthal and Media
Matters will be singlehandedly responsible for [Obama] losing the PCW CEO race.
They [the Democrats] cannot win and keep this affiliation with them [Media
Matters].

So after all that, ‘Extreme Pizza Delivery Girl’ Tessa Martin hit a Pizza
Cutter on Happy Mango three seconds into the match.  She made the cover and got
the pin.

Next, backstage PCW Investigative Reporter Woodward Bernstein talks with Mrs.
Miyagi about the break up between her and Daniel-San.   Except for the fact that
Mrs. Miyagi really isn’t in a talking mood.  At least until Daniel-San shows
up.

Daniel-San: Look, I didn’t care for the way
this whole thing went down.  That’s my fault.  I’m sor-

Yep.  cue John Creese and his Cobra Conservatives walking in to
interrupt the PCW Champion.

John Creese:Mercy is for the weak, Daniel-San.  Haven’t
you gotten that through your head?  Boys…

Cue the obligatory Cobra Con attack on Mrs. Miyagi.  Except Mrs. Miyagi wipes
the floor with Johnny, Dutch, Tommy, and Jimmy.  So Creese sweeps her leg and
tells Daniel-San to take her out.  Daniel-San slaps on the Labell Lock and by
the time Halitosis- the Insane Luchador with Horribly Bad Breath, can reach her
she’s unconscious.

Obama’s Team – One Common Denominator


It’s time to find out who is behind Obama; we all
know that one man could not single handedly steal 787 billion dollars from us
and redistribute it without the assistance and direction of others.  Nor could one man increase our National
Deficit 5 trillion dollars in 3 years without the help of many, many others.

We know that one man couldn’t stop businesses in
their tracks without assistance from the inside. We know that one man couldn’t choreograph
the Fast and Furious gun operation, a covert operation that has caused the
murder of many innocent human beings.

We know that a man running for his second Presidency
term would not turn on the Churches, the military, the tea parties, the States –
no one in their right mind would behave in this manner unless there were ulterior
motives and he was being controlled, not in control.

Looking back over the past three plus years, it is strange
that neither Republicans nor the Democrats monitored our money, nor were any
one of them good stewards of the money that we loaned the Government.

From 2008 thru 2011 we watched the Liberal News, the
Republicans and the Democrats carefully prepare for the next saga of American
under siege. Daily, they dressed in their costumes wearing many hats and
presented to us a play by play blow as America was being devoured from the
inside out.

They distracted us and divided us pitting the poor
against the wealthy, races against races throwing in the race card, the Church
card, the blame card just for sound and effect.

Obama is the puppet, a creation, a product of many
evil puppeteers; he can’t move or breathe without explicit direction and
marching orders.

Some call him a Muslim, others an African American,
some say he’s a Heinz mixture and none of that really matters now as we head
into the 2012 Presidential Election, because he’s never been vetted and no one
knows who he really is, where he came from or what he has been doing for the
past 50 years.

But,
the most important question is this – who is behind the puppet and who pulls
the puppet’s strings? 

Americans will not find out these answers in the
yellow pages, or at Occidental or Columbia colleges. In order to win the fight
in “Taking Our Country Back,” we must first know who the enemy is…

The first thing to check out is the people who are
in charge of our Federal reserve (Ben Bernanke,) the person in charge of our
Treasury (Timothy Geithner,) the Chief Financial Adviser (Larry Summers,) the
Chief Political Adviser (David Axelrod,) the Office of Management and Budget (Peter Orszag,) the White House Chief
of Staff (Jacob Lew,) Hillary Clinton and the majority of Obama’s Czars all
have one thing in common.

There is
one common denominator that will explain why we hear of a New World Order and a
new global regulatory system that would rule the World and why the FEDS remain
behind closed doors.

First clue
is George Soros and second would be Warren Buffet, the Old Republican
Establishment, the Liberal News Media and Democrats can fill in the missing
pieces if you but ask them or maybe they’ll turn tail and run.    AMERICA WE ARE CONTROLLED – NOT IN CONTROL

the lights turned off and a small spotlight illuminated the door.  A man dressed
in a suit and bow-tie walked in.  “Ladies and gentlemen,” he said in an
announcer-type voice.

Lingerie Girl facepalmed herself.  “Oh no.  Not him.”

“I present to you the almost universally-worshipped king of the sun gods of
all creation.  He commands the chariot that rode across the sky during the
day.   He is the great, fiery globe in the sky, a welcome, nurturing presence to
honor the season.  He is the inspiration for those who would throw virgins into
the gaping maw of a volcano – perhaps an Icelandic volcano – even though such
shenanigans haven’t been acceptable since the 1950s.  And just for your
reference, he is, for 28 years in a row, proven to be one of UC San Diego’s most
enduring traditions in the Sun God festival- an all-day music festival

Mitt Romney held a ‘press availability’ (isn’t
that a press conference?) get together in the back and had this to say…

Romney: “I’d like to congratulate Rick Santorum on his win
Tuesday night.  But in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t mean a hill of
gourmet beans imported from the finest coffee fields in Colombia because I will
be the Republican taking on Barack Obama in the fall.”

PCW Investigative Reporter Woodward Bernstein then asked Mitt how it couldn’t
mean something after he went to great trouble to take out Rev. Richardson
earlier in the night.  Romney disputed that ‘he’d’ gone after anyone.  He blamed
the attack on Rev. Richardson on Santorum’s record when he was part of the PCW
Executive Committee.  Bernstein again asked how.  Romney replied, “… Santorum
never et an earmark he didn’t like, now when his wrestler (Richardson) gets
instead of doing the responsible thing and toeing the line on spending he goes
out and buys another wrestler (A-Bomb).”

Bernstein then asked if the win was a significant setback for Romney.  Mitt
said it wasn’t because he really didn’t try to win that hard.

“I could have tried to win a lot harder, perhaps, but I didn’t so it really
doesn’t hurt me too bad in the grand scheme of things.”

Bernstein: “If you weren’t really trying that much, why did
you have Richardson taken out before the match?”

Romney sputtered around the subject and then declared he’d ‘try harder’
tonight.   He then laid out a challenge to A-Bomb to face Yamamoto Tanaka
tonight and claimed that PCW Competition Committee Chief John Boehner (R-OH) had
already signed off on the match.

Out of nowhere, Code Pink runs out.  She
tries to fire a Glitter Bomb at Romney but out comes Arizona’s Rough
Justice: D.B. Ruff and Connor Justice
- two former city police officers
fired for their extreme brand of justice, with Sheriff Joe Arpaio.  They collar Code Pink and drag her away
before she can reach Romney.

‘The Massachusett’s Redblood then walked away with his entourage in search of

Then Mrs. Miyagi, former manager of the PCW Champion Daniel-San, walked out

Giordano: “Well,  life’s not always fair and I’m sorry about
that.”

Out of nowhere, the Jersey Boyz Vinnie and Frankie (R) tackle Giordano and
there’s a brawl when ‘The Foul Pole’ Andy Golatta and Malibu Dusty of the
California Teacher’s Union comes to his aid.  Chris Christie (R-NJ) came out and
delivered this diatribe:

Christie: “I cannot express how disgusted I am by that
statement.  But I also have to tell you I’m not the least bit surprised because
I think it so succinctly captures what their position- their real position-
is.”

Suave: “For not being able to express his disgust, he’s
doing a pretty good job of expressing his disgust.”

Christie went on to call Giordano’s comments ‘puffed up rich man’s baloney’
and again the Jersey Boyz attacked- this time against the CTU.  A referee came
out and we had ourselves an impromptu match…

Big Oil delivers a kick to the head.   Daisy Cutter-Bomb jumps on Big Oil’s
back.  He lifts her up and Samoan Drops her to the floor.  Tanaka and Big Oil
whip A-Bomb into the steel barricade.  Then Tanaka lifts him
up…PILEDRIVER.

Suave: “HOLY CRAP!”

Big Oil then delivers an Oklahoma Driller and finally security gets down to

The second ever PCW ‘Roadshow Across America’ tour made a stop tonight in Minneapolis for tonight’s Minnesota Mayhem show.

‘The Massachusetts Redblood’ Mitt Romney (R-MA) entered the arena in high spirits along with his wrestler, Yamamoto Tanaka (R).  Tanaka has torn through the Republican competition since he switched sides and looked to continue that trend tonight.

Who looked to stem the Romney tidal wave?  Rick Santorum (R-PA) and his charge, The Right Rev. Randy Richardson- the former Triple R, that’s who.

…and said that he knows that his reputation precedes him.  Richardson admits that he’s always been his worst enemy and that too many times in the past  he’s cost himself the PCW title.  Tonight that changes.  Richardson claims he’s more at peace with himself right now then he’s been at any point in his career.

The crowd buzzed when the Japanese Superdestroyer Yamamoto Tanaka (R) ran out and delivered a preemptive strike on Richardson.

…Tanaka hits a frog splash on Richardson. Tanaka goes to the top and hits a flying sitdown splash.

Suave: “HOLY CRAP!  HE’S GOING TO KILL HIM!”

Tanaka back to his feet and calls to the back.  Corporate Might:  Big Oil and Kirk Walstreit, PCW Champion Daniel-San with John Creese and the Cobra Cons run to ringside.  Big Oil spikes Richardson’s head into the mat with an Oklahoma Driller.   Walstreit sets Richardson up and hits him with the Stock Market Plunge.  Rev. Flambe and Rev. Hinnrich try to help out but Walstreit bats them away.  Then he piledrives Rev. Flambe.  Daniel-San clotheslines Rev. Hinnrich.  Daniel-San hits a gut-wrench suplex on Richardson. Creese sets Richardson up and Daniel-San decks the Rev. with a Crane Kick.    Tanaka drags Richardson onto the top turnbuckle.

Suave: “NO!  SOMEONE STOP HIM!”

Yeah, too late.  One Japanese SuperDestroyer later Richardson is out cold!  For good measure,  Daniel-San hits the shooting star press on Richardson and then splits with Creese and company.

So, Richardson gets taken out by Tanaka.  Santorum goes to the back and berates Romney who feigns any knowledge of the attack.

BOOM- New Age Sensitive Guy blasts T-Roy in an old school sensitive area.   Then the new group Planned Parenthood (Democrats Jordan Metzger and Kendra W. Wallace) hit the ring and tackle Handel to the mat.  Metzger punches T-Roy repeatedly while Wallace wrestles with Handel on the mat.   Shoulder tackle by Thomas-Taylor on T-Roy and the New Age Sensitive Guy apologzies afterwards.  Metzger with a Neck Breaker.  Wallace spins turns Handel around and boots her in the ass.  Thomas-Taylor goes for the pin...1 ...2 ...3 ]

Post match, the beatdown continued and Planned Parenthood taunted Handel who was sprawled out on the mat.

Big Oil (R) claims that the end of the world is here because… GAS PRICES WILL GO BACK OVER $4 A GALLON BY MEMORIAL DAY!  Big Oil laughs and calls everyone who complains about the rising cost of gasoline nothing more than a Big Oil wannabe.   Big Oil pulls out a wad of cash and starts counting the bills.  He points to all sections of the arena and says the whole arena was filled with Big Oil wannabe’s.  Then as he leaves, Big Oil points some more people out in the crowd and calls them wannabes!

Suave: “Well, that sucks.”

PCW Investigative Reporter Woodward Bernstein in the back with Rick Santorum.  Bernstein asks him with Rev. Richardson being taken out, who was he considering to take his place.  Santorum, looking very concerned, responded that ‘he didn’t know.’  Then he turned and walked away.

Suave: “Well?  That sucks for him.”

Suave then talks about PCW Champion Daniel-San’s recent appearance in Phoenix Wrestling as part of the CWC Ascension Tournament…

Clauson gets whipped across the ring, and Stall charges right after, but runs into a pair of raised boots. Stall stumbles away as Clauson gets onto the second turnbuckle, then dives onto Stall to hit a beautiful DDT!]]

Clauson gets up, all fired up after the big move. But here comes Kris Keebler to a series of boos, who’s holding a chair. He gets up onto the apron, but Clauson hits a superkick, knocking him down! But here’s Daniel-san with a roll-up!

Suave: “Wait a minute…not him, too.”

That’s right, it’s NEWT TRON BOMB (R).  Suave frantically tries to find his gas mask as N-Bomb slides into the ring and sticks his ass in Tanaka’s face.  Then…

Suave: “SILENT BUT DEADLY!  SILENT BUT DEADLY!  OH MY…THAT STINKS!”

Tanaka out.  Both A-Bomb and Magnum cover…1…2…3.

Mitt Romney slams his fists on the ring and watches A-Bomb rolls Tanaka out of the ring.  Then A-Bomb turns to Magnum and rocks him with right hand.  He lifts Magnum up-…ATOMIC POWERBOMB!  A-Bomb covers…1…2…3.]

Santorum bounces into the ring and holds up A-Bomb’s arm.

Romney Again! PCW Reno Rage Results

The Massachusetts Bluebloods: Jay F. Kennedy and Ray F. Kennedy (D) w/John F’n Kerry (D-MA) defeated the Religious Right: Rev. Oral Hinnrich and Rev. Buddy Flambe (R)

Tin Cup‘ Ray McAvay (Tea Party) got a rare victory over Brad Company (I)

PCW’s Queen of Extreme Valora Salinas (I) destroyed Peta from PETA (D).

New Age Sensitive Guy’ Blaine Thomas-Taylor (D) defeated Dave the Mechanic (I) in a match where he had to have apologized at least seventeen times.

The crowd was about half the level into Jim Schmidt (R) when he wrestled for Ron Paul as they were for Magnum PO’d.   (Plus, having Robbyn Masters there certainly didn’t hurt either).

Early on, Rev. Richardson did a small move and then inexplicatively jumped on the middle turnbuckle.  He posed for the crowd as if he just scored a pin and then ran into the waiting clutches of Tanaka.  Tanaka powerbombed Rev. Richardson and then replicated his celebration.   Ron Paul went around and high-fived every fan in the front row around the ring.   Magnum PO’d hit the Porsche Plunge on Richardson.  Magnum went for the pin but Gingrich pulled the referee out of the ring.  Paul ran to the back to get another referee.

Meanwhile, Richardson used a chair on Tanaka which only served to royally piss off the Japanese SuperDestroyer.   Richardson then got in his face, there was shoving, and then a choke slam on Richardson.  Tanaka sent the Right Reverend over the top rope and facilitated elimination number one of the match.

Tanaka shook off Magnum’s attempt to Porsche Plunge him and powerbombed him through a table outside the ring for the second elimination of the match.

K-Roy jumped on Tanaka’s back and tried to choke him out.  Tanaka backed hard into the corner turnbuckle and squashed K-Roy.  Then to the top rope, Japanese SuperDestroyer, and time to catch the next flight to Minneapolis for Tuesday’s PCW Minnesota Mayhem.

That’s right.  The Donald himself.  Showing up at the back door of the Coliseum, Trump was hustled into the building by security.

‘The Voice of PCW’ Johnny Suave wondered why the Donald was here tonight.  Then Newt Gingrich (R-GA) appeared in the back and went skipping through the hallway.  Suave put one and one together and surmised that the Donald was here tonight to deliver some much needed help to the Gingrich campaign by giving him his endorsement.

This match got off to a bizarre start when Barr joined Dr. Lecktor in the ring and announced she was running for PCW CEO with the Green Party.

And of course, the referee delivered the prefunctionary warning to Dr. Lecktor that any attempt to remove her mask would result in an immediate disqualification.  As always, FBI Agent Starling stood nearby with her cattle prod just in case.

End of match…

[...Dallas hits a springboard bulldog and slams Dr. Lecktor's head onto the mat.  Dr. Lecktor adjusts her mask and then kicks Dallas in the groin.  Mule kicks by Dr. Lecktor sends Dallas reeling into the ropes.  Lecktor throws the Texas Cowgirl to the mat and locks in the Hell's Gate.   Referee checks for a tap out...Dr. Lecktor cinches it tighter...Dallas has no choice but to tap. ]

So, Dr. Lecktor gets her first win in PCW in some time.  Post match, she beats on Dallas some more, while Roseanne celebrates outside the ring by screeching annoyingly at the top of her lungs, and then the doctor begins to take her mask off.  FBI Agent Starling wastes no time in cattle prodding Dr. Lecktor into submission.  One hoped that Agent Starling would do the same to Roseanne- but no luck.

Next, ‘The Massachusetts Redblood’ Mitt Romney (R-MA) entered the arena coming off a very successful night at PCW Tussle in Tallahassee.

Tanaka came to the ring and eliminated Schmidt and Richardson in short order.  K-Roy put up a fight but Tanaka hit the Japanese SuperDestroyer and won at the 6:20 mark.

Romney, with the Republican establishment firmly behind him, said that he was on such a roll right now that he’s worried about winning the nomination to become the Republican challenger to Barack Obama in November about as much as he’s worried about poor people.

Romney tried to walk back the whole ‘not worried about the poor thing’ but in the end his staff whisked him off into a meeting.

In the back, PCW’s intrepid Investigative Reporter Woodward Bernstein interviewed Democrats Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi about the defection of the Japanese SuperDestroyer Yamamoto Tanaka to the Republicans.

Pelosi was predictably outraged that Tanaka would take this…

Um…wrong currency guys.

Pelosi was offended that Tanaka took a briefcase full of cash from the Republicans and made the switch.  When Bernstein reminded her that it was the Democrats and their Super PAC’s who used a briefcase full of cash to entice Tanaka to their side earlier, Pelosi responded with this:

“Well, at least we did it for the right reason.”

As for the Republicans, they too had to deal with a significant defection from Tuesday night’s show- the loss of longtime stalwart ‘American Citizen’ Kevin Scott…

…Scott went on and lashed out at the Republican Establishment.  He called Palin a victim of the abject slime pit, win at all cost mentality that our politics have become. Scott added that anyone who once had a 70-80% positive rating in her state and knocked off an incumbent Republican governor with ethics problem isn’t dumb.

Kevin Scott: “It’s bad enough that the Democrats/Left Wing Elitists are now using their Hollywood allies to further trash Sarah Palin in their movies…(see Game Change.)  What’s clear is that the Republican Establishment didn’t want her either and she’s getting it from both sides now.”

Scott then stunned the crowd by quitting the Republicans.

Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told Fox News hot newsbabe Megyn Kelly

McConnell: “It’s not like Kevin Scott hasn’t pulled this #@$# before.   He once quit and joined the Democrats for a short time before crawling on his hands and knees back to the Republicans.  Kevin Scott needs to realize that this isn’t about him.  It’s all about putting Republicans in position of power and winning titles and if he’s not up to the task then I’m glad he’s gone.   We’re getting the better of a Scott for Tanaka trade off.”

Finally, the moment we’ve waited for.

Donald Trump’s procession makes its way to the ring.  Trump, leaving a trail of cash behind him, and his entourage climb into the ring, followed a few feet back by Newt Gingrich and K-Roy (R).  Gingrich has a huge grin on his face and Suave comments that he knows Gingrich thinks he’s back in contention now with Trump in his corner.

Trump: “Ladies and gentlemen.  After great thought and consideration, I have decided that I, Donald J. Trump, will endorse…

By this point, Gingrich is hopping up and down like a jack in a box in the ring.

Trump: “Mitt Romney.”

Suave: “WHAT?”

Romney strolls out to the ring and shakes Trump’s hand while a stunned Gingrich watches.

Trump: “Mitt is tough, he’s smart, he’s sharp and he’s not going to allow bad things to continue to happen to this country we all love.  Go out and get ‘em. You can do it.”

Suave: “Gingrich can’t believe it!  K-Roy is pissed.  Trump endorses Romney….”

If We Don’t Win We Lose


America’s slide from the forefront of freedom to the swamp of collectivist social engineering didn’t start with the current manager of our decline and his Cavalcade of Czars.  It didn’t start with President Obama’s favorite foil and arch-nemesis the man the Corporations-Once-Known-as-the Mainstream-Media love to hate, George Bush, the Younger.  It didn’t start with the Bush-Clinton decade + 2 of continuous government growth, its thousand points of light or its thousand points of light or its Hillarycare.  

Even Ronaldus Magnus, the last good President left Washington bigger than he found it.   

Jimmy Carter not only walked in the Inaugural Parade he walked us into the grip of a Department of Energy that works tirelessly to limit our energy production and a Department of Education that presides over the greatest decline in education in world History.   He chastised us in his malaise speech about our crisis of confidence never realizing it was our confidence in him not our country that was hobbling America.  And what was his advice?  Should we work harder, invent more, or launch out in bold new ways?  No he suggested we wear sweaters and turn the heat down.  Managing the decline has long been the theme song of those who see America’s glory days in the rearview mirror instead of in the headlights as we travel towards the future. 

What about Nixon?  Forget about it!  He gave us price controls, OSHA, and the EPA.  He took us off the gold standard and left us at the mercy of the Federal Reserve, all this from the conservative wing of the Dualocracy which is the bi-polar Party of Power.

Lyndon Johnson and his Great Society, Medicare, Medicaid, and Food Stamp revolution created the entitlement monsters which are poised to devour the budget.   

Though he cut taxes to spur the economy, Kennedy with his phony missile gap and foreign policy blunders did little besides set the stage for Johnson.   

Eisenhower spent eight years guiding the construction of the Military Industrial Complex he warned us about as he left the stage.  

The Fair Deal was merely Truman’s election driven attempt to increase the size, scope, and power of FDR’s New Deal which was a massive and unprecedented intrusion of the central government into the economic and social life of America.  

FDR was the 20th century poster boy when it comes to stretching the size of government and putting the stamp of entitlement as the cause on liberty’s death certificate.   

Hoover, contrary to FDR’s story line and the accepted version of America’s History, responded to the stock market crash with a massive extension of government and its programs.  The Great Engineer, as he was known before his name became a household word for failed presidency, was a champion of government intervention, and though today his devotion to the tenets of laissez-faire are blamed for the depression when it was instead his federal interference that provided a deep recession for FDR to turn into the Great Depression. 

Silent Cal Coolidge was America’s last limited President.  He limited himself and stayed with the confines of the Constitution.   

Harding tried but died.   

Wilson used the War he bragged of keeping us out of as the excuse to arrest and detain citizens, seize control of the economy, foster segregation and racism, and generally slap the cuffs of a greatly expanded central government on America’s wrists.   

Taft was Teddy Roosevelt’s handpicked successor.  And although he continued the Progressive agenda of attacking business and expanding government he didn’t do enough.  So Roosevelt broke him and his presidency running against him splitting the Republican vote and opening the door for the Progressive Democrat Wilson.

Teddy was the grandfather of them all.  His trust busting interventionism was Progressivism personified. 

Though this may be the litany of the current gang of statists who are poised to smother freedom, the struggle to keep constitutionally limited government, personal liberty, and economic freedom alive has been one long series of attack defenses declines and rebirths.   

The second President, John Adams, was a man who helped write the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  He was a man who worked tirelessly for the ratification of the Constitution, and passed and signed the Alien and Sedition Acts under which he arrested people who criticized him, his administration or his policies.  From there it goes on and on.   

Jefferson compromised his beliefs about the limited power of the central government and purchased Louisiana without Constitutional authority, a good deal but a bad precedent.   Monroe committed America to defending the entire Western Hemisphere. Polk sent American troops into territory internationally recognized as part of Mexico and then asked for a declaration of war when Mexican troops fired on those troops.  Lincoln suspended the right of habeas corpus whenever he needed to in order to maintain the Union though the Constitution does not grant that power to the Federal Government. The 10th Amendment strictly prohibits the Federal Government from having any powers not expressly delegated to it, and at least one state, Virginia, in their ratification convention expressly considered the Union voluntary and reserved the right to secede.   

From one battle to another America’s freedom fighters have stood before the Leviathan of Central Government and clung relentlessly to the promises first set forth in the founding document of the United States of America, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”  Considering that these uplifting and timeless words of human liberty were penned by a slaveholder and that it took four score and nine years for this stain to be removed from our nation we can see that our road away from serfdom has always been one of fits and starts.  

Today we face the next great challenge.  Progressivism, America’s current variation on the age-old theme of government knows best is poised to break the bounds of limited government, regiment the people, and smother the economy.  After more than one hundred years of incremental growth in just three years the promises of hope and change have broken the bank and mortgaged the future.  One more term of this profligate spending and oppressive regulations and they will kill the golden goose.   

The forces of freedom cannot afford to lose this next election to the purveyors of class warfare and division.  If we do this great experiment in limited government, personal liberty and economic liberty will have progressed from a new country on the margins of civilization to the greatest power the world has ever known, to just another socially engineered centrally planned economically shackled democracy voting itself benefits it can’t afford. 

Our adversaries believe they have stacked the deck by taking control of both major political parties which operate as two wings on the same bird of prey.  They hope by nominating a Progressive in both parties there will be no way for the forces of freedom to prevail. 

Our ranks are filled with those who have been in the trenches for a lifetime and are weary of the fight.  They have been joined by the recently awakened who know little of the history and less of the tactics.  Our opposition is comprised of the slickest, best funded, and most corrupt professional politicians, labor barons, and crony capitalists the world has ever seen with thousands of Occupy storm troopers thrown in for good measure.  The odds are against us.  The smart money is betting on the victory of the all-powerful government, lining up to get their deals and haul away the loot. 

The odds have always been against us.  We fought the greatest empire in the world to gain our freedom.  We have persevered and prevailed against plot after plot to extinguish the light of liberty and in this battle too we must remember that the one we should never be forgotten told us long ago, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”    

Yes, the blood of more than 54,000,000 innocent lives cry out for justice, yes we as a people have legalized what should be unlawful and condoned what should be condemned.  Yes, we have fallen from the high road and are weakened by an entitlement mentality and an addiction to entertainment.  But we are the American people.  We are, “We the People” and if we will but turn and acknowledge the one who has given us everything we have a chance. 

The time is now.  The place is here.  We are the people we have been waiting for.  We must rise to the occasion.  We must win this battle because if we don’t win we lose. 

Keep the faith.  Keep the peace.  We shall overcome.

A Fighter for Conservative Values when Conservatives Weren’t Looking


As a first-term Senator, Rick Santorum had authored a bill to ban federal funding for partial-birth abortion, and he battled the issue heavily in the Senate until he met success. I’ve come across this video from 1998 which reveals a couple of minutes of the fight Rick Santorum had led to defend the lives of helpless innocent semi-newborns who were being killed because they were unwanted for whatever reason.

In the video, Santorum rebutted statements from the Senator of California who proclaimed violence as the highest killer of children and from the Senator of New Jersey who agreed that murder is the highest killer of children in New Jersey  and cited that 13 murders of children occur daily in his state.  Santorum proved them both wrong, explaining that abortions are the biggest baby killer for it is responsible for four thousand killings daily!

He also made a passionate and sound case as to why the leftist argument of “freedom to choose what to do with my body” is wrong, explaining that just as murder is wrong for morale reasons and not just because a majority of the nations is of the opinion that it’s wrong, so too is the case with abortion. It is morally wrong and will remain morally wrong despite herculean efforts from the left to shift public opinion in favor of abortion.

Indeed, Santorum’s impassioned pleas successfully convinced the Senate to block funding for partial-birth abortions.  I’ve been particularly impressed and inspired to watch Santorum courageously defend conservative values despite his hailing of the purple/blue state of Pennsyvania and his first reelection coming up (which he ended up winning despite vicious leftist attempts to bring him down.)

Santorum’s passionate defense for conservative values was not limited to his fight against partial-abortion. Santorum was at the forefront in numerous occasions, and took upon himself to battle for conservative principles at times when others preferred to delay action, whether because of upcoming elections, lack of motivation, or other reasons.

Santorum fought corruption in the house taking up members of both parties despite having been a newcomer, in what has  been dubbed the Gang of Seven. This was before the days of the Tea Party! It’s no wonder The Washington Post has said of Rick that, “Rick Santorum was a tea-party kind of guy before the tea-party even existed.” Rick had also denounced those who were in favor of mandating health insurance upon the American people as early as in this video of 1994,, as mentioned in a previous post. Another battle Rick successfully fought, first in the House, and then in the Senate, was the fight to reform Welfare.

Here’s an excerpt of Brian Bolduc’s article regarding Santorum’s leading role in Welfare Reform:

Santorum first entered the House in 1991; two years later, he became ranking member of the subcommittee on human resources. “How I got to be ranking member of that subcommittee does say a lot, I’m afraid, about how Republicans used to view welfare — and too many still do,” Santorum wrote in his 2005 book, It Takes a Family. “Something like five Republican members more senior than I on the committee chose to claim a regular seat on either the Health or Trade subcommittee instead of taking the ranking position. . . . None of my Republican colleagues saw this subcommittee as particularly important to them or their constituents.”

Santorum showed that willingness in designing the Republican bill. Eager to call Pres. Bill Clinton’s bluff — he had promised to “end welfare as we know it” in the 1992 campaign — Santorum and the House Republicans introduced their version of welfare reform in 1993. “When we  introduced our bill, the liberals savaged it, calling it cruel, heartless, and mean-spirited,” Santorum writes in his book. He continues with the characteristic sarcasm that has somewhat unfairly won him a reputation for acerbity: “We had actually had the audacity to call for time limits on welfare for the able-bodied!”

After Santorum won election to the Senate in 1994, he took up the cause on the floor of the upper chamber. As chair of the finance committee, which had jurisdiction in this area, Sen. Bob Packwood was meant to the lead the charge, but sexual-harassment charges distracted him and eventually lead to his resignation in September 1995.

In response, Dole assigned Santorum to be the floor leader on the bill, a remarkable appointment for Santorum in Haskin’s eyes. “He gets elected to the Senate, he’s not on the finance committee, he’s a freshman, and Dole basically puts him in charge of floor operation on welfare. This is completely unheard of, and the reason he did it is Santorum is really, really smart,” Haskins concludes.

On the floor, Santorum went head-to-head with liberal titans Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Ted Kennedy. In July 1996, Santorum directly confronted Moynihan’s lacerating criticism that the bill “invite[d] calamity.”

“I found it odd that he used the term,” Santorum mused aloud, “that the bill before us invites calamity, right after a very eloquent and fact-filled dissertation on the calamity that has been created by this welfare system, that calamity of illegitimacy in our civilization.”

Republicans in the House appreciated the strong ally they had in Santorum. “It was nice to have an ally who understood it,” says former congressman Clay Shaw, who assumed leadership on the issue after Santorum left the House.

Rick Santorum has stuck to his conservative principles and done so while serving from Pennsylvania. Remarkably, although Santorum hasn’t bent his views to curry favor with voters as the examples above highlighted, he nevertheless attracted a considerable number of Independent and Reagan-Democrat voters who respected his consistency and his fiscally-sound approach. He’s actually the only candidate to have won as a conservative in not one, but two, state-wide elections in Pennsylvania, a state which had gone to Democrats in every single presidential election since 1988. Although Romney has won one state-wide election in the blue state of Massachusetts, he has not done so on a conservative platform, as he himself admits. On the other hand, Rick Santorum has run and won twice on a conservative platform as a staunch pro-lifer who promoted lower taxes and took a tough stance against terror.

Although many are impressed with Santorum’s record, his biggest problem seems to be his ability to present a clear case that he is capable of defeating first Romney and then Obama.

It seems as though Santorum was aware of the surprising data recently released by a PPP poll, for even prior to the Florida results having been made official, Santorum was off to campaign in the states whose primaries take place in the upcoming week. He’s already been to several states in the last few days and he’s had a full schedule today in Colorado.

Here are the astounding results of the above mentioned PPP poll which had been released yesterday regarding Santorum’s ability to overtake Romney.

In Missouri, held a week from today, Santorum has a 63-21 favorability spread to Gingrich’s 52-32, Romney’s 46-36, and Paul’s 28-57.  On the actual primary ballot, for which Gingrich did not qualify, Santorum leads with 45% to Romney’s 34% and Paul’s 13%.  In the caucus, in which Gingrich can compete, Santorum falls to second at 28% behind the former speaker’s 30% and ahead of Romney’s 24% and Paul’s 11%.   Head-to-head, Gingrich would defeat Romney in the state, 43-42, but Santorum would, 50-37. That is because Santorum’s supporters only go for Gingrich by eight points over Romney, but Gingrich’s vote for Santorum by 28 points. In Ohio, which will be held on Super Tuesday (March 6th), Santorum’s favorability rating is 59-24, compared to Romney’s and Gingrich’s 47-37 and Paul’s 31-52.  The primary is a three-way race between Gingrich (26%), Romney (25%), and Santorum (22%), with Paul at 11%.  Gingrich would top Romney, 42-39, but Santorum would, 45-38.

In other words, here’s how the two different two-man races would look like:

-In Missouri Santorum leads Romney 50-37 and in Ohio Santorum leads 45-38.

-In Missouri Gingrich leads Romney 43-42 and in Ohio Gingrich leads 42-39.

Two additional notable factors of this poll: Santorum scored the lowest in negative favorability. He also came in as the most-liked second choice candidate with 38% of those polled saying they consider Santorum as their second choice while Newt and Romney were both chosen by only 18% of those polled.

As for Santorum’s ability to face Obama, here’s some additionally surprising information from the PPP poll taken in the crucial swing state of Ohio, via the Daily Caller.

According to a  poll released on Wednesday by Public Policy Polling, a Democrat-affiliated organization, Obama’s numbers have improved in the state: He breaks even on approval and disapproval, with 48 percent in each category; and he bests all of his possible Republican opponents in a head to head match up. But Santorum does the best — getting 42 percent to Obama’s 48 percent. Romney loses 49 to 42, Paul 48 to 38, and Gingrich gets flattened 51 percent to 39 percent.

The ability to appeal in blue-collar states has been a centerpiece of Santorum’s electability argument throughout the campaign. He has repeatedly highlighted the fact that he is the only candidate to have won a statewide election in a swing state — Pennsylvania — and argues that he could use his blue-collar appeal to beat Obama in other crucial swing states, like Ohio.

Another mistaken perception Santorum has to break through, is the mindset of many who think he’s still in the red with no funding to go forward. Although that was the case at the start of the campaign prior to Iowa, it is no longer so. The Santorum campaign has confirmed it has raised $4.2M in January and is currently zero dollars in debt. Additionally, Foster Friess, a major donor to the Red White and Blue Fund, a Super Pac which supports Santorum, said during his interview with Bloomberg Television that he plans to give Rick significant help moving forward.

If Santorum is able to convince enough voters in the handful of primaries until Super Tuesday that he is a serious contender who can indeed reach the White House, the field may undergo a change once again in this ever-changing primary.

John McCain’s team had prepared a powerful ad against Obama which never ran because McCain refused to mention Jeremiah Wright. The ad explained that McCain chose to serve in the military while Obama chose to attend Jeremiah Wright’s church for over twenty years, and ended with the punchline that “Character matters, especially when no one’s looking.”

Rick Santorum has proven that he has had the character and conservative streak even when no one was looking whether he behaved in a conservative manner. In fact, the pressure had stemmed from the opposite spectrum for he was answerable to the voters of Pennsylvani. Yet, amazingly enough, as a candidate for office in a purple/blue state he remained true to the very same values he currently touts in the strongly conservative GOP presidential primary.

Happy Obama ‘one-term proposition’ day


“If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.” – President Barack Obama on NBC’s “Today,” February 2, 2009:

Three years ago today, President Obama appeared on NBC’s “Today show and and made his infamous “one-term proposition” prediction:

“I will be held accountable. You know, I’ve got four years. … A year from now, I think people are gonna see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still gonna be some pain out there. If I don’t this done in three years, then there’s gonna be a one-term proposition.”

I feel the pain, but I don’t see any progress. How about you? Even Obama admits that we are not better off than we were four years ago — inviting comparisons to the malaise of Jimmy Carter’s failed presidency.

It’s time to revisit the devastating video put together by the good folks at Minnesota Majority. The video uses Obama’s own metrics to assess his presidency. You can watch “Obama Presidency by the numbers” here.

The more people are exposed to Reagan’s “are you better off” question to Carter, the more the belief that Obama will also be a one-term president is reinforced.
