I can’t think of a more deserving target than Infowars’ Alex Jones, when it comes to lawsuits and being forced to examine his contribution to the pain of others.

Jones has made a career out of spreading outrageous lies.

The euphemism is, “conspiracy theories.”

The families of two victims of the Sandy Hooks Elementary School shooting have brought a lawsuit against Jones, claiming his repeated claims of “false flag” activity surrounding the shooting has resulted in death threats.

Anybody who saw the video I posted several weeks ago, regarding conspiracy theorists descending on the Sutherland Springs, Texas community and harassing the pastor of the First Baptist church there know just how nasty these nuts can get.

Both lawsuits were filed in Austin, Texas, seeking more than $1 million in damages. It names Jones, as well as Infowars and Free Speech Systems LLC as defendants.

The lawsuits were brought by Neil Heslin, the father of a six-year-old boy killed in the massacre, and Leonard Pozner and Veronique De La Rosa, who also lost their child in the Sandy Hook shooting.

“Even after these folks had to experience this trauma, for the next five years they were tormented by Alex Jones with vicious lies about them,” Mark Bankston, the lawyer handling the cases for the parents, told HuffPost.

“And these lies were meant to convince his audience that the Sandy Hook parents are frauds and have perpetrated a sinister lie on the American people.”

This isn’t even the first lawsuit Jones has been hit with, regarding his lies. Several more are pending.

This targeting of families in mourning is the lowest of the low, however. Jones has an entire army of tinfoil hat-wearing acolytes, prepared to believe the most outrageous claims.

In November 2016, he said: “The only problem is, I’ve watched a lot of soap operas, and I’ve seen actors before. And I know when I’m watching a movie and when I’m watching something real.”

Wasn’t this the same guy who said in a court case that he was a “performance artist”?

Yeah. It is.

In Newtown, Connecticut, in December of 2012, twenty elementary school kids were killed, along with 6 adults, when a disturbed 20-year old, Adam Lanza, shot his way through a locked security door and went on a rampage from class to class.

Most of the victims were under the age of 8-years old.

That people like Alex Jones want to make “performance art” out of the pain of the families is a level of subhuman disgusting that can’t ever be adequately voiced.

If these families are really dealing with Jones’ mindless fan club, I hope they get every cent they’re seeking.
