In Announcing Aid to Venezuelan Refugees, Nikki Haley Nails the Problem With Maduro's Venezuela

You’ve got to love U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley. She’s always on point, and she’s a straight shooter.

Today, Haley’s office announced that the U.S. would be giving $2.5 million to support Venezuelan refugees fleeing the Socialist nightmare to neighboring Colombia.

In making her announcement, Ambassador Haley pointed out that this was just a patch. True “help” would come when there were fair elections, as well as a return of democracy and human rights in Venezuela.

Today the US announced $2.5mil supporting Colombia in aiding Venezuelans fleeing humanitarian crisis. While this will help w/ some immediate needs, free & fair elections & transparent, accountable governance are needed to restore democracy & human rights in Venezuela.

She’s absolutely correct.

Socialism has ruined a nation that should be one of the most prosperous in the world. There’s no reason the people should be starving, while men like Nicolas Maduro remain in power.

Bravo to Ambassador Haley for her willingness to keep speaking up.
