I don’t know that that’s how it works.
While Trump has decided to end 2017 by lashing out at the American press and anybody not worshipful of him, his playmate in North Korea is breathing threats.
“The U.S. should know that the button for nuclear weapons is on my table,” Kim said in a speech during his annual New Year address his country, The Associated Press reported Sunday night.
“The entire area of the U.S. mainland is within our nuclear strike range,” he continued, while claiming that now the U.S. “can never start a war against me and our country.”
I don’t know that the U.S. starting a war was ever the problem. The problem has always been the little tyrant’s nuclear ambitions.
Interestingly enough, he seems to be reaching out to his South Korean neighbors, calling for better relations and musing about the Winter Olympics in February.
South Korea will be hosting the games, at that time.
“The Winter Olympic games that will be held soon in the South will be a good opportunity to display the status of the Korean nation and we sincerely wish that the event will be held with good results,” he said.
Ok. Do you plan to feed your athletes? Maybe not blast them with radiation?
Kim also reportedly highlighted the isolated state’s economic achievements during the speech, and nodded towards trying to improve the country’s standard of living.
Well, their standard of living likely won’t drop any lower, so up is all that’s left.
Good luck with that.
President Trump was approached and informed of Kim Jong Un’s statements, as he arrived at his Mar-A-Lago New Year’s party.
“We’ll see, we’ll see. Come on inside,” he said.
I’m sure the new week’s Twitter feed is going to be lit.
