Read the BOOM From Her Attorney, After Sean Hannity Goes Fishing for a Moore Accuser

Why would he even think this is something he could make happen?

Apparently, Fox News’ Sean Hannity tried to get one of Roy Moore’s accusers to appear on his show.

Gloria Deason was one of the first to say there was a relationship between she and Moore, when she was 18 and he was a 30-something year old assistant district attorney.

To be clear, Deason isn’t accusing Moore of any inappropriate contact, beyond kissing. She has said he would bring wine on their dates, while she was under the legal age for drinking.

This is one of those cases where it was uncomfortable and creepy, but not illegal (unless you want to talk about the highly inappropriate and illegal actions of a district attorney plying an underaged girl with alcohol), so I don’t really consider Deason a “victim.”

Deason won’t be appearing with Hannity, and an attorney for Deason, Paula Cobia sent a slam-bang letter back to Hannity’s people, detailing exactly WHY she wouldn’t agree to appear on his show.

Wrote Cobia:

“Please tell Sean Hannity that I would never submit a survivor of abuse to the inevitable on-camera bullying and persecution by him,” Cobia wrote. “Mr. Hannity has belittled, defamed and engaged in an on-air intimidation campaign against the victims of Mr. Moore.”

“It is laughable to assume that Mr. Hannity is capable of conducting a fair and balanced interview,” Cobia wrote in the email. “He is merely seeking an opportunity to publicly attack and further defame Mr. Moore’s vulnerable victims. Well that’s not happening. Not on my watch.”

Again, her client isn’t a “victim.” She was legally an adult, capable of saying “no” to Moore’s requests for dates, as so many others claimed they did, so we have to believe she wanted to go out with him.

In fact, as one of the first to speak up about Moore and as I mentioned earlier, she has said there were multiple dates, and not just a single encounter.

She’s not a victim. She was just an 18-year old girl dating a creepy older dude.

Still, Ms. Cobia has a point.

Hannity didn’t press Moore. After multiple women came forward, with varying degrees of disturbing tales to tell, Hannity gave Moore a limp-wristed ultimatum with no real consequences – 24 hours to “convince him” of his innocence.

Moore wrote a letter saying, basically, “I’m innocent.”

Hannity threw his hands up, at that point, and said he’d leave it up to the people of Alabama.

I think it’s Hannity’s viewership that Ms. Cobia and Ms. Deason are most concerned about. While Hannity could be dealt with (He just wants Ms. Deason to say Roy Moore never molested her, then he would declare for the cameras that that was proof that Moore’s other accusers were liars), some of Hannity’s viewers are unhinged. It just wouldn’t be a good idea to get her face on camera, for any reason.
