BACKTRACK: Hannity Accuser Now Wants To Clarify Her Story

HI-LARIOUS!

Something about the threat of legal action really takes the steam out of a good fairytale.

So I had to give golf claps to Fox News’ Sean Hannity earlier today for standing his ground and vowing to take legal recourse against attorney and blogger, Debbie Schlussel.

Schlussel saw an opportunity to get a little revenge against Hannity, who she seems to have a real bug up her nose about, plus grab a few headlines by piling on with the claims of misogyny against a Fox News star.

I’ll admit, I have my issues with Hannity, but fair is fair, and Schlussel’s ridiculous story is paper thin, and very likely done with malice and self-interest.

To recap, Schlussel was a guest on an Oklahoma radio program on Friday. She told a tale of appearing somewhere a few years back with Hannity, and being asked back to his room, later.

She claims that when she rejected his offer, she was no longer asked to appear on his show.

Hannity spoke about his plans to sue in a statement given to The Blaze, and Schlussel suddenly finds the need to “clarify.”

Speaking with LawNewz.com, Schlussel wants people to know that while what she said was true, she wasn’t accusing Hannity of sexual harassment.

“I would never accuse him of that. Sexual harassment has a special meaning under the law, and I would never accuse him of that,” Schlussel, an attorney herself, said.  Schlussel said the interaction happened in the early 2000’s when Hannity was in Detroit taping a show.

“He tried to get me to go back to the hotel after the show after he and his executive producer Bill Shine treated me horribly,” she said on the radio program. Schlussel later clarified that it wasn’t his hotel room, but rather his hotel. She told LawNewz.com that she did go on the show following the incident, but after that was “banned from Fox News.”

“I never thought I was sexually harassed by Sean Hannity, I thought he was weird and creepy not someone I liked,” Schlussel said.

Well, that’s good to know. You maybe should have either been very clear about that, to begin with, or better yet, kept your mouth shut, because if you hadn’t meant to imply there was some form of harassment there, there would have been no reason to bring it up.

Seriously, the conversation was about sexual harassment suits against Fox News personalities.

Schlussel responded to Hannity’s legal threats, tellingLawNewz.com she believed they were “laughable,” and that she is also contemplating countersuing him based on his statements on Sunday in which he called her a “serial harasser.”

“It’s defamatory,” Schussel said, “Everything I said was true, and truth is an absolute bar to defamation. He on the other hand has a murky record on truth.”

Okay, wacky lady. Okay.

Schlussel has a history of going after Hannity, so I think if his kids have any bunnies, they may want to keep a close eye on them. I see some boiling pots at the Hannity household.
